From the minute I walked in I was impressed with how beautiful it was aesthetically. They are very Covid conscience and are taking every precaution to make you feel Safe from barriers to temperature checks! Chris was very friendly and super professional during my pre exam! Dr. WIN Was awesome! He was super thorough and took his time to explain to me all of my options without making me Feel pressured! I will definitely be bringing my family here for all of our future appointments! And due to the Covid hours they aren't normally Open sundays but they did accommodate me and my schedule which was very helpful since I do have a little one at home and babysitting can get challenging at these times. I have been coming here for prescription glasses for about 2 years. Recently I was having my usual allergy symptoms including itchy, watery, irritating eyes that was consistent for almost 3 weeks. I happened to call Amanda one of the Optitians and told her what I was experiencing. With Covid-19 I was hesitant going my Dr or Urgent care but my eye was really bothering me. She asked me to send her a picture of my eye as she contacted Dr. Evelyn. She got back to me shortly after and told me that it looked like it was allergies with a a low grade infection. I have been seeing Dr Wang and his team for about 10 years now, all I can say is I will not trust another team with my eyesight. I have seen Dr Eddie Wang, Dr Evelyn Wang they are both unbelievably good and thorough not to mention patient with all of my questions. I had booked an appointment with Dr Wang but when I arrived Dr Tung greeted me in the front of their gorgeous new office (looks more like an artists loft), I was confused but I figured why not they have never disappointed me before. I was very impressed and thankful for Dr Tung's kind, easy to approach personality she was extremely informative and thorough not to mention fun to talk to. She even informed me of things I had no idea about that had concerned me the past-super big sigh of relief. I went to AcuVision Optometry through a referral from my friend. I lived in Irvine at that time and I laughed at my friend's face for considering me to drive to Whittier just for a checkup. Few weeks later, that's exactly what I did. I have really bad vision with astigmatism, plus really dry eyes -- not one of my finer characteristics. Unfortunately, I'm one of those frustrating clients that tend to take poor care of my crappy eyes. I prefer contacts over glasses, which is NOT recommended for me. Boo. I also wear my contacts longer than I should. Double Boo. Anyways, due to my poor care, I ended up messing up my eyes and I had to go to Dr. Wang for an emergency check-up to see what's wrong with my eyes. He did a very, very, very thorough checkup with my eyes. Ever since I had glasses at a young age of 11 and contacts at the age of 13, I've been going to so many different optometries in LA/OC. The experience at this place surpasses all my visits at the optometrists that I've ever been. There was even that awkward moment that we realized that my contacts and glasses prescription were completely way off than it should be --- Damn. So Dr. Wang sent me home with medication and a set of new contacts with an appointment for one week later. He said since my eyeballs are inflamed, my vision should change back closer to my original prescription. So after my one week visit, we found out that my astigmatism has been corrected on my left eye. OH WHAAAAT. He let me try on different contacts to see which one works best for me. Seriously speaking, I haven't seen this clear and well for a very long time. Everytime I had my contacts, it always felt a bit hazy or bit overpowering. Dr. Wang made sure that I was able to see find my perfect contacts for my not-so-perfect eyes. Which he DID! HURRAY! He also introduced me to Clean & Clear, rather than using the basic contact solution. Which took me getting used to, but my eyes feel super clean... and clear. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Acuvision Optometry and I definitely recommend this place to anyone.... even if they live all the way out in Irvine. read more

This is such a cute optometry/glasses shop! I went in here expecting a small selection of outdated glasses like other places, but nooooo --it's the complete opposite! There are lots of brands and selections! They can even custom order a pair of glasses for you if they carry that brand! My advice--call ahead of time to make sure your insurance works and then schedule and appointment :) Besides the excellent selection, Dr. Wang is VERY detailed. I like that he tells you to 'blink blink blink' and gives you time to relax your eyes during the exam (not all optometrists recognize how tired your eyes get). The exam does take some time, definitely worth the money. I must warn you-- it does get crazy during the day because there are kids all over the place. read more

I went in a few days ago for my first-ever visit to an optometrist. I must say that my experience was fantastic! The staff was welcoming and accommodating, answering all of my questions and giving me great advice as to the type of product that was right for me. Dr. Wang was exceptional. He took the time to really get to know me and identify the best possible prescription for what I needed. He even emailed me shortly after our appointment with information he promised me despite being busy. The prices were more than reasonable for getting Prada and Oakley frames. My review is for the Optometry-side as well as for the customer service. I have always gone to the businesses located inside of Target and Walmart for my eye services and have long since wanted to switch to a local business. Luckily, this location is relatively close to me from work, school, and home - so I thought, aw, why not? I've been using my glasses for the better part of this year... just about the full 7 months and have been wanting to get an updated prescription so I can get contact lens, but the lack of money has always just pecked at me. The first visit, I paid for both the initial and the follow-up which cost about $100, give or take. I've since visited four times for follow-ups in regards to contact lens samples and fittings, and haven't been asked to pay at all. For someone who isn't in an amazing financial state currently, this was perfect for me! I asked the receptionist multiple times about paying and she said that all the follow-up appointments were "paid for" when I paid the first time around. Excellent, beyond! The appointments don't take very long (maybe 30-40 minutes tops) and they do offer a Check-in offer for a yearly supply of contact lens. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Wang and his staff! The thing about this optometry that sets itself apart from all the others is Dr. Wang's extent of care. I have been to other optometries, where a 10 sec eye exam with a "you're doing good" report is all I'll get. But Dr. Wang does the preliminary tests thoroughly and does not dismiss any details. He'll even sometimes give you a topographic printout of your cornea! I have worn contacts since 4th grade, so I know good optometry service when I see one. (; In addition, he understands your financial struggles and works with you to make the best possible plan (which I know is much appreciated). With a wide selection of frames, great service from the staff, and Dr. Wang's competence, I would recommend this optometry to anyone. read more

I've been using Dr Eddie Wang's services for a couple of years now, both for contacts and glasses. His office area consumes about a third of the building, the other two thirds being the Pediatric Group. I think there's a family connection, but I'm not sure about that. Anyway, his is a small office with friendly staff. Dr Wang is very hands on with all of the activities of the office. I would say that he's closer to the beginning of his career then the end of his career (i.e., he's a young guy). I've been extremely happy with the service he provides. My contact lens fitting has been difficult (I'm finicky with my vision), but he's been very patient, offering me many different contact lens to try before finally finding one that fit perfectly. I bought one pair of glasses from him, and was also completely satisfied with the results. He doesn't have the selection of frames that you'll find at a LensCrafters, but from my experience (35 years of wearing glasses) he has an acceptably large selection to choose from. His prices for the contact lenses and glasses are not the lowest I'm sure, but the quality of service more then offsets his prices, in my opinion. read more

This has to be the best optometrist office I have been to. I have been going here for the past 4 years. Every time I have been here the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond to make your visit smooth. First, I love there text communication prior to appointment. It makes it so much easier. Secondly the office is always so clean. They have there Covid protocols and everything is sanitized. I had Melissa assist me in my test and in choosing glasses. I was anticipating it to be much harder than I experienced. I loved the glasses Melissa was wearing and mentioned to her that I was looking for a style similar to hers. This was my first time ever trying this facility. I have to say I was very impressed! The staff was very helpful and professional, as well as Dr. Wang. I used to go to LensCrafters and I found out they gave me stronger eyeglass prescription then what I needed. Dr. Wang explained to me that this was not necessary and he was able to give me a prescription that made me feel more comfortable to use for my everyday needs. This place also, has a variety of eyewear selection and the staff was helpful in helping me choose the perfect set of glasses and sunglasses that fit my style.
