I've been going to this shop for a few months and been wanting to let people know they will be extremely pleased if ADA does your eyelash extensions. I first came in early December 2016 to be "photo" ready for my daughter's upcoming wedding. I had taken some medicine which seemed to me to thin my hair and make my eyelashes skimpy. So I just took a shot in the dark ( forgot to consult Yelp-my bad) And found ADA. Her shop is downstairs in a secluded but very pretty room. Soothing music and lovely decor makes the ambience very inviting. Ada herself has the hands of a surgeon and her touch is very light. She is a very pleasant person who knows how to communicate. Before I knew it, my lashes were done and I was extremely happy on how they came out. The wedding photos of me were just fine. It's SO much easier to not have to bother with mascara and other eye makeup that I've continued have my eyelashes extended. I went to Ada with high hopes but was disappointed when her services did not meet my expectations. First of all I would like to say she is very overpriced. Her lashes cost more than some places in NYC and I was not impressed with the length. But the biggest thing that bothered me about Ada was her outright unprofessionalism. During a fill she got up to argue with a man she knew outside the store and threatened him to stay away and promptly locked her store. I felt uncomfortable and I guess that's why her store door is always locked. Also she is never on time for her appointments and I was often times standing out in the cold 10-15 minutes waiting for her to come. The worst interaction I had with Ada was when I made and appointment with her and she forgot about it so I drove over to the store and waited 30 minutes during my lunch break before I called her and she said she forgot about the appointment and can't see me that time. If that's not unprofessional I don't know what is. I was very unhappy with Ada and her services I decided to stop seeing her. If anyone is interested in lashes go somewhere else where you are treated professionally NOT Ada. read more
