Wow, what a great first lash experience!! I had been contemplating getting lash extensions for some time now and after extensive research, settled on Glamour & lashes. At first I thought this place was wonderful but after my fourth time, not so much. Once I started doing fill ins, I noticed my lashes started falling out like crazy. I also do my bottom lashes, 20 for $50. Apparently, they dodo fill ins for bottom lashes so literally paid $50 for less than 10 lashes to be added, which in my opinion is completely unfair. What really ended it for me was that the last two times I went, I was on time for my appointment, but other people were taken that came after me, which resulted in me waiting an additional 25-40 minutes. I even had the technician stop doing my lashes in the middle of my session to take someone else. Very disappointed, really wanted this place to work, but not recommended for someone who wants professionalism for paid services. Three days later they contacted me because of this review, although I was upset, I thought it was best that I gave them a chance to make things right, and that they did. In addition to admitting their faults, they also had , in my opinion, a more senior technician work on me. She did a great job! I found this place after having a TERRIBLE experience at Amazing Lash Studio in Merrick on Merrick Rd. I did a lot of research on other lash places close to me and I couldn't be happier that I found this place! After my first appointment I knew this was the place for me. They are clean, very polite and the best part is I can schedule an appointment through text! How convenient is that?! About the lashes: Sue, who's also the manager there did my lashes. She is AMAZING! it doesn't even feel like I'm having anything done while she's putting the lashes on because she's so gentle. I fall asleep while getting them done (that's a sign of a good stylist :) I got the natural set with a C-curl as she suggested and they are perfect, they look so good and I get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. The lashes stay on for a while also (with care of course). I couldn't believe how much longer they stayed on compared to Amazing Lash Studio in Merrick. When I went there, the lashes would literally fall out in the car on the way home from the appointment. I thought that was normal (so I was told), but it's not! When you get your lashes done at Glamour and Lashes they will stay on, and your fill in appointments will be true fill in's and not new sets. Glamour and Lashes has really risen to the occasion during the pandemic. Not only is it immaculate and cleaned professionally daily The employees all wear masks and head protection. Barriers are up between each bed and after having my lashes done I was totally relaxed and felt incredibly safe. I recently had my lashes done for the third time at Glamour and lashes in Rockville center Long Island. Each and every time I go into this beautiful shop, I get first class treatment from start to finish. I was a little concerned about having repeated eyelash extensions and possibly losing my own lashes but realize lashes continuously grow back. So now I have absolutely no worries. The truth is lashes continuously fall out and replenish themselves. They could even fall out with the extensions and that's totally normal. It's your normal last falling out and the extension just happens to be attached to that particular lash. So now I plan on having lashes for the rest of my life; only at glamour and lashes ,that is. By the time you are escorted to your comfortable electronic bed , you are relaxed and peaceful. I had back surgery eight years ago and it's amazing how the bed at this eyelash extension Spa can adapt to make me totally comfortable. You lie down and immediately get covered with a beautiful soft blanket. It truly is an incredible experience. Once you are gently preppefor your lash extensions you usually fall into a light sleep until you are finished. I don't even remember having a more relaxing feeling then awakening from having my lashes. I end up paying approximately $150 plus tip. It's worth every penny. What's better than not having to worry about putting mascara on every day ? Don't even think of trying another lash boutique. I found this establishment on Yelp and was just curious so I decided to give it a try. Yelp has a special offer that if you check-in you get $30 off your first set. I should have read further into the offer because I did not know it was a cash-only offer. oh well. The salon is very simple and calming. The rooms are intimate and they make sure to keep the noise level at a minimum. While getting your lashes done, don't be afraid to fall asleep. I honestly think that's their goal haha. They make sure your are well taken care of. They use special oils on the back of your ears to keep you relaxed, and they cover you with a plush blanket also. I started going to this place back in October of 2019. They always do an excellent job here. This place is super clean, everyone wears a mask here and now since covid, they take your temperature prior to entry and then they ask you to go wash your hands in their bathroom. (FYI, the bathroom is very clean and beautiful. They recently renovated it). Each station is very clean and they do ask customers to keep their mask on while they are doing the eyelash extensions. WORST LASH EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I went to this salon because a client of mine recommended it and I had bad lash experiences in the past. I went to get my (previous place) lashes remove and to get a new set. The set looked good but it didn't even last a week! (I paid 60$ extra for the mink which supposedly last longer). I called the salon to let them know after a week and sent pictures, but I was unable to get there until 2 weeks. When I got there I had no lashes left and they told me they had to charge me. I said that I expressed I was unhappy within a week and they told me they couldn't honor that because I didn't come within a week (I have a lot going on and couldn't get in that soon) but they knew how bad my lashes were after a week! The woman at the desk agreed not to charge me because I said if they were gonna charge then forget it . Then as I went to leave the manager INSISTED I pay (I tipped the girl as well which I would've done reguardless) I hope they're happy they got me to pay them this time bc I'll never go back. I first came across Glamour Lashes after my hot yoga class around the corner and decided to give them a try. I am VERY picky when it comes to my lashes and probably have tried just about every place in Flushing and the majority of the ones in NYC. I have been getting eyelash extensions for over 10 years so I'm pretty much an expert. I dubbed a lot of places for using cheap glue, replacing mink lashes with heavy synthetic lashes, poor application skills and pushy employees who try to get you to buy random products they are selling.
