What a great find!!! I gave them a try after hearing multiple rave reviews on social media. I am not the type of person that frequents these places or spends a great deal of time on a beauty regime, so I get a bit intimidated when I do. Totally not the feeling I got here!!!!! Clean, airy and inviting! The staff is warm, friendly and super engaged with what they are doing. They took the time to evaluate the services I requested to make sure that I was getting what I was asking for. I originally wanted to get "The Shirley", but was advised by Grace that this service wouldn't give me the results I was looking for and that I should just tint my lashes without the curling. Lauren, the owner, agreed with her and both explained why. Angela did a great job on my brows with both the color (was nervous it would be too dark, nope!) and the shape. The mini facial I got was gentle and relaxing. My skin was glowing all day even though it was overcast. They took their time and didn't rush the process. I definitely plan to go back. I was referred to Beauty Bar 1947 from a good friend who couldn't stop raving about the services they provide. Wow, was she right. The owner Lauren is lovely and will make sure you are able to get the appointments you need. My first appointment was for a facial, and Lisa was there to greet me when I arrived. She was very professional and made me feel very relaxed while doing my facial. The products she used were fabulous and my skin felt so much better after the treatment. I decided to make another appointment and try "The Shirley" - which is a Keratin Eye Lash and tint. As I aged, my lashes didn't seem thick anymore and after the Shirley, my lashes are more vibrant and look thicker and healthier. I am so happy that I decided to try this treatment and will be back for another treatment in a few months. I also brought my teenage son to Beauty Bar. Lisa was very helpful in showing him what to do to keep his skin from breaking out and gave him a wonderful facial as well. I was able to purchase the products for his skin, so he could keep up the cleansing routine. I am forever grateful for Beauty Bar 1947 and the wonderful women behind the name. Since they've opened over a year ago I've been in for bi-weekly visits, however, these visits quickly became more than just your typical brow wax. The vast variety of services offered and pleasant company had me experimenting with everything from lash tinting and curling to facials, and everything in between. Both Lauren and Angela have always been warm, welcoming, accommodating, and always made me feel like a valued customer. Better yet, they've made me feel like family! Every time I leave, I feel more confident than when I arrived. Beauty Bar 1947 and the women who make this place my sanctuary have done an incredible job of creating an environment of self love and comfort. They've instilled the importance of confidence amongst their clients, always doing their best to have us feeling our best. Ok......so I admit I was very hesitant to deviate from my regular doctor but after reading about Dr. Doshi and not wanting to make the trek to the north shore I decided it give him a try. I've been getting Botox for 12 years and filler for 3 years. I've had it done by plastic surgeons in LA, Austin, TX, NYC, some better than others and I had thought that I had found the best guy around until I found Beauty Bar 1947 and Dr. Doshi. His gentle manner and artistic eye left me thrilled with the results! He didn't pressure me into more than I needed ( something some doctors are known for). He took his time and explained his opinion and asked me for mine. I can't say enough good things about this man but I can say EVERY woman should have him in their lives! After the treatment rather than a throw away ice pack I was give two adorable reusable pink beaded ice packs with Beauty Bar's logo and an ice pop ;). Such a nice touch! I took my daughter n My niece to the Beauty Bar on a girls getaway weekend! We started the beginning of our day with an 11 o'clock appointment at the Bar where we were greeted by the owner Lauren! The place was so extremely esthetically pleasing to the eye for sure!!! Splashes of bright colors, and glitz n glam of crystals and iridescence.....They began the appointment w the girls receiving mini facials then topped their facial off with mermaid makeup and bedazzled facial tattoos! Afterwards the girls were able to mix their own creation of a lip gloss pod so they could touch up their makeup throughout the day! My niece and daughter had the biggest smiles the whole time and I know this was an awesome introduction into the fun wild world of being a girl and treating yourself to feeling pretty! Beauty Bar was an amazing experience from start to finish. Much to my delight, this place isn't just for glamazons (though those are welcome too!) I'm not particularly into makeup or spa treatments, but wanted to somehow get my sparse, unruly brows to behave. I got the Evelyn (eyebrows tinted and waxed), but was nervous about it coming out too dark on my fair complexion- I wanted something natural, and wasn't sure the staff would listen, as is customary in so many other salons where I feel out of my league. Not the case at all here- my aesthetician listened to my concerns and made sure my eyebrows came out exactly as I wanted them. They looked so good, and lasted for so long! The owner, Lauren, was there throughout my treatment and added to the warm and inviting ambiance. Beauty Bar listens and delivers, and for that reason alone I know I will be going back. read more

Visited a week ago for the first time. I needed to wait a few days to see the full effects of my procedures. I'm 48 years old. My first time getting Botox and a bit of filler. I was terrified. I truly could not be more pleased with Beauty Bar 1947, it's wonderful FEMALE owner, local Long Beach born and raised Lauren Horak, and Dr. Doshi, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in head and neck. Lauren is amazing and runs a top-notch establishment. Beautiful, clean, warm and inviting. Dr. Doshi is a master of his craft. My face looks so natural. This place has it all!! The decor is elegant and classy and you are treated like a celebrity from the moment you walk in. Lauren, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about all things beauty and was so helpful in guiding me to pick the perfect treatments. Cannot go wrong with Dr. Doshi and the other staff. Welcoming, professional and educated. I have never been disappointed with the results. Dr. Doshi is exceptional, trustworthy and truthful. His work is natural subtle and flattering. If something would not suit you he will speak up which is extremely respectable. The only place I will go to for facials, botox, filler and brows. I don't think there are enough good things I can say about this place. The staff are warm, friendly and make you feel immediately welcomed. They listen to EVERY WORD you say to make sure you feel amazing when you leave. I did the lash tint and lift and I literally never need to wear mascara which is HUGE because I have the blondest eyelashes. I love beauty bar!! I got the Shirley with Skylar who was phenomenal! So gentle, informative, kind and talented!! I have very short lashes so for her to be able to lift and tint mine was no small feat. She made them look stunning and we had so much fun during my appointment!!
