Office staff are rude and not great at getting messages to the Dr.s in a timely manner. Also my prescriptions constantly get sent to different pharmacies all though I remind them over and over again that it's west bloomfield pharmacy they always send it to Madison heights. Always disorganized and if I have to cancel an appointment and schedule for a later date they DO NOT cancel me and I get told I missed my last appointment. Ridiculous! You cannot trust this place.

I was a 34-year-old female who came here in 2024 for bloodwork, a tingling sensation in my foot,…read moreand oral thrush/candida. During my first appointment with Marna Taylor, she ordered bloodwork, prescribed medication for the oral thrush, and recommended physical therapy. I also mentioned concerns about acne, and she told me it was completely normal for my age and that I was probably perimenopausal. At my second appointment, I explained that the medication for my tongue had not worked. She prescribed a higher dose of the same medication. I also mentioned that physical therapy was not covered by my insurance and that I had researched the possibility of a gluten reaction. She agreed that sounded plausible. The appointment then shifted into a discussion about my health insurance premiums and coverage. I explained that I had marketplace insurance at the time because I was a freelance writer, and that I was comfortable with my monthly premium and willing to pay out of pocket if needed. Despite that, she told me she could not order additional thyroid bloodwork unless I personally called my insurance company, gathered all the billing codes, and found the prices for each test. She then ended the appointment, saying I was late, even though I had arrived on time. On the drive home, I realized she had never even reviewed my bloodwork results with me, which was the main reason for the visit. When I later checked the portal myself, I saw abnormal levels. When I went to refill the prescription she had given me, the pharmacist pulled me aside and said he was concerned it may have been prescribed incorrectly because the dosage was extremely high and aggressive. He advised me to call and confirm it. At that point, I decided not to continue care here. I later paid out of pocket for bloodwork from Function Health, which showed significant thyroid issues. I then found a new doctor who told me it was preposterous to suggest I was likely perimenopausal at 34 without proper evaluation, and I have since been receiving treatment for my thyroid condition. This experience felt dismissive, unhelpful, and poorly managed. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here.

The first visit we went too we waited in a the waiting room for over 2 hours. No mind you I was with a 2 year old. The receptionist was dry and super sarcastic at that visit. I left not wanting to go back. I call today to try to schedule a visit for my sick child and before I could even finish the receptionist interrupted me and was nasty as ever saying the dr couldn't see her. First off it the answer was no that's fine with me but let me finish what I'm saying before you act like a total b****. Then after I finish speaking tell me no and give me other options. But no this lady did not do this and then breached HIPPA by calling my sister and telling her that she couldn't bring extra children to the appointment. Like chill lady I wasn't planning on ever coming back because of her. But to go and breach HIPPA WHEN I DIDNT GIVE MY SISTER INFO. Then their hours say 5:30 but they conveniently had their phones off at 4:30. absolutely the worst place to go. I thought drs were suppose to do no harm but apparently it's totally ok to be rude, Snarky, and sarcastic 24/7

I have been seeing Dr Abbo at this clinic for over ten years. I have since moved from Ferndale,…read morewhere I first lived when I began seeing Dr Abbo, and now drive happily the much farther distance to continue my health journey with her and this clinic. Most all of the employees who work here have been with Covenant since I can remember, which to means a great deal about the work environment. I saw a fellow Yelper's one-star review of this place and how she called them 'less than Christian', and made claims that they do not pay their bills. Huh? Every single morning, before they begin their day, the entire staff joins in a prayer circle to give thanks and prayers for the day ahead. I have witnessed this and was very impressed. Additionally, although it does not happen every single time I visit, I am often asked if I would like them to pray with or for me, about any concerns I'm having in my life. I'm a not a religious person, (I do not adhere to one faith) but I am very spiritual, and have accepted their offer on a number of occasions. At no time did any staff member proselytize, or make me feel uncomfortable about our differences in our spiritual beliefs, so I'm not sure what would look more Christ-like than that - accepting others as they are. Dr Abbo always spends an entire hour with me. The entire hour. Not 5 or 10 minutes. An entire hour.

This is a low-cost health clinic that offers care on a sliding fee scale if you have no insurance…read more Some flutterings of an unexpected health situation is rearing its ugly head and, after a little waiting and seeing, things don't seem to be getting better. As such, it requires me to seek some medical attention. Heard about this clinic in Royal Oak and called to get info and possibly make an appointment. The receptionist I spoke with was nice. She informed me that the cost is generally $20-$50 based on your income and family size. That fee would include the office visit and basic labs (urine/bloodwork). I actually worked many years for a community health center down in FL that operates in a similar manner (except in-house labwork there was not normally included in the office visit fee). CCHC also works in conjunction with the Beaumont Health System and if you require, say, something like x-rays, they would refer you there to have them and other discounts may apply depending on the service. For the theoretical x-rays, it would be around a 40% discount. I sort of got set up for an appointment. More so, got put on a waiting list. If someone cancels and a spot opens up, they give me a shout. Apparently this can take 7-10 days or I was advised to call first thing the next morning to check in on any possible/more ASAP openings. Oh well, it's better than nothing or third world country care (i.e., I am grateful this option is available to me and the general public, thus the 3 stars). All my demographic info was taken over the phone and I was advised to bring in a photo ID and proof of income on the day of the appointment. The sliding fee scale is established at that time. CCHC has 3 other locations in the Detroit area (W. Grand Blvd., Michigan Ave., and on Waterman). The Michigan Ave. location offers dental services. Evening hours are also available depending on the location. I will update the review once/if I secure a visit.

Avoid Dr. Ehrmann at all costs!…read more I saw him for a couple years and everything was fine. In the winter, I asked for an increase in my antidepressants, and instead of increasing them, he completely took me off the medication that I had been on for years. Cold turkey. If anyone knows anything about antidepressants, that's a huge no-no. I had HORRIBLE horrible withdrawal symptoms from Dr Ehrmann not weaning me off me medication at all. I contacted him several times asking to be put back on my medication, because I became suicidal, lost my job, and almost became homeless. All he said was "it's going to be rough for a few weeks." I had paperwork that i needed filled out so that I could at least get on disability, and Dr Ehrmann never filled it out. One week, I had a follow up appointment that I had to reschedule due to my son being ill. I called the office, left a message, and also responded to the text message reminder, which said to reply "no" if you needed to reschedule. I was able to get a different appointment, and when I showed up for that, I was informed that Dr Ehrmann was discharging me from his practice for not showing up to my last appointment - that I called and rescheduled with no issue. He discharged me, never did my disability paperwork, and never cared if I was going to be ok or not. He should not be practicing anymore. If he's not able to handle certain conditions, he needs to refer his patients to someone who can. He never once gave me any referrals to a psychiatrist, even after he told me he didn't know much about mental health disorders. Him taking me off my medications cold turkey quite literally destroyed my career, my life, and my home. I'm writing this not to be malicious, but as a warning that this man should not have a medical license and should be avoided at all costs if you want your health taken seriously.

They have to know they have this coming after the office visit I just recently had: If you've been…read moreseen at this office, pull up your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) on your insurance app immediately. You are likely being overcharged by a staff that operates on a mix of arrogance and total ignorance of their own contracts. I'm a skeptic by nature. I read the bad reviews and thought, "I'll be the judge of that." Convenience won, and for a minute, it seemed fine. The doctor himself is a nice guy...accommodating and professional. He was training a female doctor during my first two visits, who, oddly, I never saw again for the remaining five appointments. The office staff was cordial and they were doing their thing back there... But that "laid back" atmosphere eventually curdled into something toxic. By the fourth visit, the vibe was off...Whispering behind the counter, giggling at weird times, and a robotic, emotionless "deadpan" manner from the staff. Just an uncomfortable, toxic-adjacent environment. What became interesting was how every visit, they demanded a $50 specialist copay. I thought this was okay because my insurance card says specialist would cost as much. However, when I finally checked my EOBs, Blue Care Network had listed my responsibility as $25.00 per visit, with the fine print explicitly stating: "Your provider should not ask you to pay any more than this amount." When I brought this documented fact to the office manager, I was dismissed. A male employee behind the counter who was entirely irrelevant to the conversation decided to rudely insert himself just to be condescending. It's always the ig talking to you as if you're the ig one. I went home, did the research, called BCN, and confirmed I was 100% correct. The EOB is the single source of truth. If BCN processes a claim at $25, the provider is contractually prohibited from charging you a penny more. Today, at my final visit, to my surprise, they initially took the $25. But after seeing the doctor, I came out to find the office manager waiting with a smug attitude to tell me I was wrong and she had "just spoken to BCN." When I tried to explain (for the 15th time) how medical billing codes actually work, the entire front desk lost it. All three employees started talking over me loudly. The office manager became incredibly animated, swinging her head, waving her hands and getting excited. I'll admit, the situation pushed me to a point of matching her energy, but the result was laughable: I was "discharged" (as if I was going to continue going there after this) and told by the other irrelevant girl that she was "calling the police right now!" (LOL) All because I insisted they follow their own insurance contract. Yeah these people are aching for conflict. It's a bizarre sight to see adults have a collective meltdown because a patient understands their billing better than they do. Ignorance isn't an excuse when you're dealing with people's hard-earned money. Check your EOBs. You probably have money sitting in Gammons' bank account that belongs in yours In the meantime I suggest that the office manager and her supporting staff educate themselves by cracking a book on basic medical billing. Oh, and to the office manager: charging more than the member responsibility listed on the EOB is a contractual violation and, in some cases, can be reported as insurance fraud.

The front staff don't seem the happiest, but the Dr., NP and nurse were friendly. I love that EPIC is more integrated with multiple other services so that you don't have to bounce around to a blood draw place or hospital for an x-ray. Upon arrival he gave them his insurance card and they said all is fine and they already had the info. Then AFTER ATHE APPOINTMENT they told him that he needed to update his PCP or else insurance wouldn't cover--guess what?! None of the PCPs are covered by his insurance. So now we're just screwed. He found out that he "owes" them hundreds of dollars for care he never received! They said they bill you for chronic care management, HE DOES NOT HAVE A CHRONIC CONDITION! This is crazy and no one offered him any solution at the office. This place is FRAUD!
