I had a terrible experience in Labor & Delivery triage with Dr. Adams-Berry last night. I arrived at triage at 7:15 PM and was not seen by the doctor until after 9:00 PM. I am 31 weeks and came in for light vaginal bleeding. Sitting in a hospital bed for over two hours while pregnant and experiencing major tailbone pain was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. Although I was told the doctor arrived in triage before 9:00 PM, I was informed that other patients were prioritized. I understand emergencies happen, but the issue is that I was never evaluated during that time, so no one actually knew how serious my situation was. At no point did the doctor communicate with me or let me know I would be seen soon. Instead, the RN repeatedly told me "just a few more minutes" every 15-20 minutes, which went on for nearly two hours. At one point I urgently needed to use the restroom. My husband went to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be and we were again told "a few more minutes." Being in my third trimester, I physically could not wait any longer and had to get up myself. After waiting so long without being seen, I asked the front desk if I could be discharged. Dr. Adams-Berry turned toward me and said in a rude and irritated tone, "I'm looking at your chart right now," as if I was supposed to know that. After sitting there for two hours with no communication, that response was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. When she finally came into my room, I expressed how upset and uncomfortable I was. Her repeated response of "well, we are here now" felt dismissive and completely lacking empathy. I came to Labor & Delivery because I was concerned about my pregnancy and needed reassurance, not to be brushed off. What made this even worse was reviewing my clinical notes afterward and finding inaccurate information. My chart states that I have a family history of Type II diabetes, which is completely false. No one in my family has diabetes. It also listed my time with the doctor as 50 minutes, which is misleading considering I waited over two hours before even being seen. This entire experience was stressful, insensitive, and discouraging for pregnant patients who come in with legitimate concerns. I will be requesting that this doctor not be involved in my delivery or future care. No expecting mother should be made to feel unimportant, dismissed, or ignored when seeking medical attention. read more

Never got a hold of them when trying to make an appointment. Called several times over a week and kept going to voicemail. Also I think it's really weird that their voicemail message says "God Bless". Just think it's unprofessional to have ANY religious affiliation in a medical office that treats people of all spiritualities. read more

Stay far away, wish I could leave no stars.. End of my second visit she said to me "I don't want to deal with anything else from you." What did she "have to deal with"? Her attitude was so sour towards me I was overheating and having trouble breathing. Overall, she treated me like an enemy. I still don't understand why. I did nothing to deserve such disrespect. Nor do I think a patient should ever be treated by their doctor in such a way. She also charges for the forms you'd need to leave work or apply for government aid. read more

I consistently have great experiences with this office. Dr. Adams-Berry and her staff are amazing professionals and the nicest people. I always feel very comfortable and understood at every appointment. The environment is very clean and covid precautions are always taken. Dr, Adams-Berry performed all my prenatal- postpartum care and delivered my baby. I have always felt very safe in her care and taken seriously which is such a relief since every other medical office I have visited in the past has made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Office smells, small and dirty. I had an appointment at 10:45 and it is Now 12:08 and I still have yet to be seen for my 6 week check. With a new baby this is rediculous to schedule someone an appointment and not get them seen within a decent timeframe of the appointment time. I will be transferring back to my old DR today. I am disgusted the lack of time management this office has and lack of respect for a persons time. You should never wait more than 20 mins to be seen from appointment time. read more

I'm not sure why the rating has been so low with others but I've had a great experience here and I absolutely hate going to the doctors. The doctor herself is very thorough and thoughtful which is why occasionally there is a wait. She does not push patients nor make you feel rushed. The staff is very knowledgeable and also very kind and considerate. read more

Have called several times to try and set up an appointment and can't seem to get a call back. Have left messages and called at various times throughout the day. Will move on, apparently they either aren't accepting new patients (which the internet says they are) or they don't care enough to get new patients. Even if they called back at this point I don't think I would schedule with them, if this is how long it takes to return a call I hate to see how long it takes them to get back to you with lab work or just a regular every day question. read more

I went to this doctor twice (yes, I gave her two chances). She seems educated and knows what she is doing medically but she essentially indirectly told me I was a slut and even said I "probably have an STD" so I told her to test me and I was clean of everything but never saw an apology. She bagged on my lifestyle and past choices but not in a constructive way; she was very rude to me about them. My mother goes to her and is fine with her, so maybe she is just more respectful to middle-aged women (I'm only 24). Dr. Adams also takes a lot of time off so I eventually gave up and went to someone else because I couldn't get any appointments booked. read more

I love Dr. Kathy. I have gone to her for many years. Now my daughter see's her as well. I never feel rushed during my appointments. She is very caring and awesome. read more

NO STARS! I did a lot of research before initially selecting this physician. The reviews I read on other sites all gave this group stellar recommendations. Personally, I couldn't be more disappointed. I have not had my baby yet but have changed physicians. I scheduled three appointments with Dr. Adams-Berry's Office: -1- First appt: I was on time and had to wait 1.5 hours before being seen. -2- Second appt: I was on time and had to wait 1.5 hours before being seen. -3- Third appt: I was the first appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Fortunately, I did not have to wait long. I was supposed to receive various test results based on the ultra sound, blood, and urine results. Not only did the physician call me by the wrong name, she had NOT reviewed my chart then reviewed a couple pages in the hallway and announced my results in PUBLIC (in the hallway)!!!! After being on time consistently and waiting hours to see her on all the prior occasions, she could not be bothered to give me 5 min of her time in the privacy of a room to tell me the status of my pregnancy and various results. My husband is a very patient man and even said he did not feel comfortable with us seeing this physician again. Such a horrible experience. read more

What a terrible doctor, my daughter met her 2 days prior to delivery. This doctor was barbaric, horrible. My daughter was in labor for 53 hours no food no water. She was trying to deliver a almost 10 lb baby. This doctor made my daughter feel like she wasn't pushing, she wasn't giving her all and she was very upset when my daughter asked for help. My daughter said to her after 53 hours why is it not OK to ask you for help, I cannot do this by myself. By this time my daughter was in trouble her blood pressure had risen very high, and she was in trauma herself. The doctor hastily started undoing all the I v's in everything that was attached to my daughter to send her in for a C Section. While in the room for the c-section my daughter told the doctor after giving her a spiral tap that she could still feel the pain the doctor still did not believe her. And started to poke her and say does this hurt does that hurt my daughter said she felt everything, And after passing the doctors poke test the doctor realized that she was feeling everything. She was immediately put under the baby was taken via c-section. After what felt like forever about 45 minutes the doors opened up the baby was rushed out. Mama wasn't even awake yet she woke up and said where's my baby. It did not stop there. My daughter's blood pressure was too high based on all the stress the doctor put my daughter under. We got to the room where my daughter was about 24 hours later, the doctor told us that our daughter wasn't doing well and that she needed to go to a heart ward because her heart was beating too fast, and she had a fever. So my husband and I took an infant home without mom and dad. To find out later that the fever was due to her milk coming in. What a horrible experience I would never recommend this doctor at all. The after care was even worse my daughter had a gaping hole in her stomach that Secreted liquid, and this doctor made her feel like she had the plague. Again horrible experience. In the end the doctor admitted that the baby would never have come out of the birth canal Ashland Martin was too big. Mama and baby are doing just fine. read more

Such nice people! I really wish I could give more stars... My first visit I was on time but didn't get into the room for 30 minutes then had to wait another 30 minutes to be seen. Just had my second appointment and I was on time, got into the room in good time but waited in the room for almost an hour to see the doctor! This is just not okay with me and unfortunately I don't think I will go back. read more

Dr. Adams-Berry has delivered all our 6 children and we had nothing but good experiences during every visit, every delivery, and every hospital stay. We understand that she's the only physician in her office and when she has to be in the hospital delivering babies, our appointment may be delayed or reschedule, but we rest assured she will do everything she can to be there for us and deliver our baby when the time comes. Unlike with many other physicians or medical groups, Dr. Adams-Berry has even gone out of her way and planned our deliveries around her personal schedule to ensure she was there to deliver our babies herself. My wife and I have always been treated with kindness and respect by everyone in their office. Robin and Amy, who have been there for years, have been excellent and extremely reliable. Dr. Adams-Berry is an outstanding physician and in a world where neonatal mortality is still very high, I can say with confidence (and a ridiculous amount of gratitude) that all our babies were born very healthy in her hands, yet I knew the whole time she was always prepared for the worse and ready to act. She's kind and sweet but she does not mess around when the life of your loved one is on the line. After 6 babies, dozens of pre-natal visits, and knowing them for years, we strongly recommend them to parents who want a personal touch in their lives. They have all become part of our family. read more

Doctor Adams-Berry is real professional! She has the best characteristics one could expect from doctor: honesty, integrity and undoubtedly top professional skills. I really appreciate how she had taken care of my wife with each of her three pregnancies,and led her through delivery twice. ( the other time it was Sunday, so we were taken care of the doctor who was on duty that day). We had never had to wait for her when it was time to deliver. She was always on time. What can you tell about doctor when everything is fine with the delivery? - not to much - only things that are not really related to knowledge of ones profession like she smiles or not, she's talkative or not, or even how long did you have to wait for the appointment. But when there are some problems which require real professionalism, ability to think quick under pressure, deep knowledge of profession- that is a case when you can tell if doctor is professional or not. My wife went through difficulties with her two last deliveries. First: 9lbs11ounc big baby inside of my tiny 110lbwife started to turn right at the time of "push" part of delivery and with supervision of doctor Adams-Berry it all turned fine. Second: with 3 delivery my wife had heavy bleeding, and all the decisions doctor made where undoubtedly right, because it's been almost a year after delivery now, and my wife had never had a problem with her health. One more that I want to mention is we had never had to wait for her when it was time to deliver. She was always on time. Both me and my wife we thank God that this doctor took place in our life, who knows how would it all turn if it was somebody else. read more

If there were such as thing as zero stars I would choose that. This doctor and her office have made my pregnancy (my completely no-risk pregnancy) a living hell. They won't do ultrasounds, they overcharge and force you to attend a 3 hour "orientation" about pregnancy and charge you $300 for it, she would never answer a single question of mine, I was left completely in the dark about my pregnancy and regarded as an idiot if I ever asked her a question. Which I asked a lot of, and she somehow found ways to not answer them! I so desperately wanted OUT! In order to switch OBs I needed my medical records from them. They made a HUGE fuss about it and made me completely uncomfortable about it, only to NEVER give me my medical records. This is required by law by the way, if you submit your request for medical records (you pay for them) they HAVE to give them to you. Well I never got to interview a new doctor because they simply ignored me and my requests for my records- and instead switched me to the other doctor in the practice, the woman's SISTER, who of course didn't like me cause I didn't like her sister... I am due in 4 days and I can only hope that if I beg reeeeeal nicely, they'll give me a stranger doctor instead. Because they will know just as much about me as my doctor does. And maybe with a little attention, in a half hour they could know more. I even went in with BLEEDING once and she didn't even check me. I had concerns about the amount of swelling in my ankles, she didn't even look. These are ankles we're talking about. Just have to pull up the pant legs, not some big get undressed procedure. But nope. No attention whatsoever. Please please please, because I feel for all you pregnant women out there, we do NOT need this extra stress, stay away from this office! read more
