Since Vermont does not have an Apple store or a Genius Bar, this is as close as we get! I was shocked to see negative reviews here, it really suggests a need for customer service training. Kindness and helpfulness go a long way to retaining customers. Patrick Brown himself is a very helpful guy, courteous, patient, and a straight-talker. I have bought my last 5 computers from him. On an unrelated note, I updated to Sequoia and the Find tool no longer finds anything. Zip, zilch, nada. This is CRAZY. Also I get a Bookmarks Syncing error message every 10 minutes with a long page of code that means nothing to me. Every day now since Sequoia -- 20 times a day -- It's awful. Wish Apple would admit Sequoia is a dog.

Let's see, the first place told me I needed a new logic board for my 2012 MacBook Pro which would have set me back $500.00. The second told me I needed to buy a new MBP for $1500.00. These guys set me up with a solid state drive and memory upgrade for around $350. My confidence in their assessment came when the owner volunteered to show me his personal laptop and said mine would be faster after the repair/upgrade because his was a year older than mine. I don't know about it being a year older but it looked like it had been to war. After his demo I signed their contract. For the past couple months I've been cruising along with what I feel is a great deal. I was inconvenienced for a couple days while they waited for parts and did their work. When they called I was shocked the price was less than originally quoted because I didn't have any data. Truth be told, I have 4 pictures and a couple documents. Everything else is in the cloud or on my external drive so it made less work for them. I will definitely be going back when my laptop needs service. Their prices are great and the service better than anyone else I talked to. I don't hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know.

I've taken him several instruments--an HD-28 with a crack in the side--I'd banged it accidentally. Also a 1936 Martin 000-18, which needed a reset, action-wise. His work was first-rate, and his prices very reasonable. But the job I was happiest about was the Fender Jazz bass I'd bought 8 years before , at a Guitar Center in NYC. The neck had warped--badly. I asked him to repair it, but he said: "You know... I think this might still be under warranty. Let me call them." He did, and although it took Fender a long time (it was during COVID), when I got the bass back it had a brand new neck. The action was perfect as well. He'd adjusted it, and didn't charge me a penny. A similar thing happened with my travel guitar. It was one of Taylor's amazing GSM Mini's. (You cannot beat them for the money.) Over the years, I took it a lot of places, and unfortunately, the bridge began to lift off. I took it to Owen: same deal: he called Taylor and they repaired it for free.

She called the day before to remind me of the appointment and the window he'd be there. Greg called on his way over to let me know he was coming. He was able to reset the fuse and clean out the vents, which was preventing the dryer from heating the air. All of this he did while explaining what he was doing because I was watching. Now my dryer is working again and he only charged me their flat rate service charge seeing it was more of a maintenance job. He was knowledgeable and polite.
