Do NOT Get taken by this company!!! Their tech came out because we did not have heat. Apparently, the thermostat was broken. They charged us $267.50 for the same thermostat that was on Amazon for $46.99. They claimed the cost of the thermostat included Labor, and then I asked what their labor cost was, and they declined to share that info with me. Funny, you indicate the cost included labor....yet you refuse to provide the amount. SO SNEAKY AND SHADY!!!!! Plus of course, they charged for gas and a service call. This money-hungry greedy Adam Family ROBBERS got a total of $429.00 to put in a $46.99 thermostat. The Tech was there for less than 25 minutes. And you know they paid much less for the thermostat since they purchased it at wholesale. So they marked up this thermostat more than 200% and took advantage of a mom with three small kids at home (one an infant) who was desperate to get heat. They claimed because she approved the verbal quote (but did not get approval in writing) it was okay to mark up the thermostat that much. My daughter had no idea the cost of the thermostat was the majority of cost. She learned an expensive lesson. DO NOT get taken advantage of by this company. And of course, Dustin promised to call me back after he discussed this with the owner and tech, which he never did. I waited two days and I called him. This is a family-owned money-hungry, greedy, SHADY, does not care about its customers kind of company. Don't become another victim of this company that takes advantage of people during their time of crisis. 11/3 ******** UPDATE AFTER JAKE's INCORRECT REPLY: Jake, get your figures straight before you reply with your generic response!!! The total bill to pop a new thermostat on was $427.00, not just the overpriced thermostat. Apparently, it makes your company feel better to list everything that takes a second to do. Example, check to make sure the thermostat is working. UNREAL!!! PATHETIC!!!!! Dustin claims that $247 included labor, and when I asked him what your labor costs are, he said he would not share. Again, DECEPETIVE & SNEAKY!!! And why didn't your Tech put the quote in writing...oh, I know why, so he could get as much money as possible out of my daughter. And make her wait for the invoice to get emailed until after he left. Take her money and RUN!! SHAME ON ALL THE PEOPLE AND OWNERS OF Adams Heating & Cooling. I woke up cold today inside my house. We just had a major storm with -30 wind chills following 16" of snow. My furnace was running all night! Never reaching the set of 68. I knew enough to check vents and filter. Filter was dirty from the tenants who we had just evicted from our home we rented to for several years. So I called the company who installed it 20 years ago or so. They squeezed me in for a 12-4 slot. Got a call at about 11. The guy shows up a few mins later to check out my old furnace. He sees the filter out and says " that's bad "! He did a full service,Checked out everything! Says furnace is in good shape and have a few years left before needing a replacement. I was so happy and relieved. It turns out when the filter is too clogged it will not let air flow properly and kicks off the ignition and won't let it come back on for long if still clogged. The guy changed $39 filter and and my furnace is working great. All this on a very bad day and a so called emergency appointment ( same day) and it only came to $148!!!!! Not bad for my stupidity and ignorance of a furnace. I highly recommend using Adams for you heating and cooling needs. They are trust worthy for sure. That guy could have gotten me for a new furnace and I wouldn't have batted an eye. The furnace is over 20 years old. But they told me I have a few years and I should just keep it in my head that shortly I will need a new one! Adams, you will be my heating and cooling people from here on out!! 9/15/2025 For an unknown reason my a/c unit kicked on Sunday Night 9/8. On Monday morning I called Adams and explained what was going on. By 10AM on Manday 2 techs were at my house to check on the issues I mentioned. Very professionally my options were carefully explained to me. Since my unit was 30 years I opted for a new unit. After again explaining my heater options I went with what I thought was my best options. While finishing up the details of my purchase your office was called to get the available install date which was today. As promised at 8am 2 techs where in my driveway ready to go. Luis and Landon introduced themselves to me. showed them where the unit was and they went to work removing the old unit. They put drop clothes down to protect my floor and went about the business at hand. Both of these men were extremely polite and worked carefully and neatly. I had a few questions as they were working and they answered politely and professionally. After the job complete they cleaned up as if no one was even there working. Explained how everything worked in very clear and concise manner. Needless to say I am extremely pleased with the new unit and the workmanship done for the installation, I would highly recommend Adams to anyone needing HVAC work done. From the owner's son Jake down to the actual installers, I found each to be gentlemanly, obliging & accommodating, very professional, quick to grasp/understand and 'see-my-point'. Each is knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I obtained installation estimates for a complete, State-of-the-Art Mitsubishi Air Conditioning System from the several, eminent Mitsubishi franchisees in my area. Adams came out with over $2,500 difference in cost. That's right - a comma after the two. My decision was not entirely based on low bidder. It is in the details that these folks shine. Entire system was laid out on paper. Before proceeding we thoroughly discussed detailed, unobtrusive line routing together with optimized wall unit locations. Adams provided a detailed plan much before signing a contract. Even during the job these folks obliged in making minor deviations from original plan.......at no additional cost. Jake even threw in a WiFi controller to keep me happy. I ended up with a clean, professional installation. Clean also implies: no scraps left around on the property! Adam's has a team of friendly professionals from beginning to end. We bought the house last year and needed to initiate service for our furnace. We had the receipt from the install several years ago so we made the call. The woman in customer service had us booked quickly, on a day convenient for us. The service technician, Matt, called prior to arrival to let us know he was on his way. I can't say enough good things about this young man. He was courteous, got right to work, answered all our questions and explained everything. He quoted all service he could perform while he was here and asked if it was okay to proceed. He took the time to look at all the radiators and recommend appropriate course of action on future service. He was knowledgeable and confident. If he is the future of the heating and cooling business, it will be in good hands. We have hot water base board heat in our home and as such have no duct work. I have been hauling window air conditioners up from the basement every summer to keep the house cool. We finally decided to do something about it and got a quote from Adams HVAC. I was happy with their quote, their layout, and their time frame. Anthony and Will showed up on a Monday and were done that Friday. (They had to go to a different job one of those days so they actually got it done in four days!). A lot of the work was in our attic which I know is not a fun place to be and they didn't complain once. They were both professional and courteous for the duration of the job. The new system works perfectly! It was very gratifying bringing those window air conditioners back down the basement stairs for the last time! I'm really disappointed about my last interaction with Adams, I am unable to get a call back regarding service, I call the main number, I spoke with a Joanna this morning and said I put a call in two days ago regarding running gas lines and was forwarded to the sales department voicemail and explained in my voicemail that I had called two days ago and did not receive a phone call back. The reason I need a callback is because the hot water tank Adams put in on October 31 was not correct and pipes were not sealed properly and leaking gas into my house therefore fouling up another project in the house which another firm said they would not do because the tank install was faulty from Adams, was not correct and leaking. Adams did come back out to "fix" the work however the entire matter is not cleared up. I have used them in the past and they did a great job however this time they left me questioning their integrity or care with their customers. read more

Adams was spectacular in all phases of the work they came out and did for us when our furnace died last week. It was Christmas week and they had a service technician out on Monday who quickly diagnosed the problem and called the office to see if we could get expedited service. We had no heat whatsoever and my mother is 95 so we needed heat! They were wonderful. I spoke to Jake, the owner's son, who was very helpful and said they would have a team out the next day to install the new furnace. It was Christmas Eve Day, Dec 24, 2024. The installation team, Tom G. and Zak L. were on time, courteous and explained exactly what happened and the best way to prevent any issues in the future. The install was quick, fairly priced and we have heat! We have been long term customers and will continue to be for both heating and AC. Our 13-year old air conditioning system needed to be repaired or replaced. We decided to replace the system because the refrigerant in the existing system is no longer manufactured. We chose Adams Heating and Cooling because they had previously done installations and repair for us. The work was scheduled promptly and the installers arrived as promised. The installers (Alvin and Joey) did excellent work, were careful not cause a mess in our finished basement, and did a great clean-up when the work was finished. They did the work quickly and efficiently and finished ahead of schedule. When the work was completed, they did a walk-through of the job and explained what they had done and how the new system worked. We needed to replace our 20 y/o carrier central ac unit... went kaput during the hottest summer in memory. Called around & were either ignored ( no call back )or got rude attitude from office staff, & very long wait time just for an estimate. No one had any empathy for our situation. We'd had a good experience with Adams from past repair years earlier but were still pleasantly surprised by the contrast with the other companies. This company is reliable and dependable. When there is a problem they respond immediately and will ease any panic a homeowner may feel. Our smart thermastat went blank when we tried to turn on the air conditioning. It was above 85 degrees at home and temperature was rising. No thermastat controls displayed... no air conditioning. Nate was the technician who arrived and diagnosed the problem quickly. He replaced parts, new parts were available on his truck. He is truly competent, smart and friendly. I will always call Adams for any HVAC needs. If there is a service call cost, it is worth every cent because your problem will most likely be fixed in one visit. read more

I had a New central A/C system put in. Crew of 3 arrived at 7:30 am sharp during a morning of heavy rain. They came prepared with booties and tarps as they were working in the main house since I am on a slab. In was concerned about new hardwood floors and rugs. Besides being clean and professional, they were highly skilled and proficient with all aspects of the job including new electrical. There were no Oops! or Surprises. Everything Flowed! My husband made an appointment with this company and explained to them the situation and what we needed from them. Whoever took the call made note of the issues in our account. I asked my mother who is on dialysis to wait at the house for the Adams employee in a house with no AC only to be told by the Adams employee that he was not prepared for the call, he didn't have the tools or equipment he needed to fix the issue (the issue my husband already told him about) and now he wants to bill us for a site visit when he did nothing. Chris Church and Jake Raucci were transparent and honest with the products choosen as well as a competitive price. Jake came as scheduled, evaluated my need to install air conditioner without duct work; decided to add mini splits, liked quote and work was completed on time by Ron, Jackson, and Bernie.
