Two days ago, my Lenox Central Air stopped throwing cold air. I called Appolo, since I bought it from them, realizing it was under warranty for 5 years.I was told by the repairman that there was no coolant in the system and I would be charged to diagnose where the leak was. He informed me the pin hole was in the evaporator coil and would need to be replaced. I was told I had to pay for today's charge and would be notified with the total amount for repairs. My charge for the technician to come and diagnose the issue was around $500 (no repairs included).y I shared the price with some friends only to discover how ridiculous the price was. This company wanted to charge over $3000 in addition to repair my unit. The warranty did not cover any labor and would not cover the $3000 part because I did not have the annual cleaning. He provided me with a quote that was affordable and after a couple other quotes, we decided to go with Aaron and his company. I always try to have small companies do work for me over the bigger ones. Aaron rescheduled on me 2 different times. About a month after his original promise date to start, he finally arrived and got to work. he replaced my equipment and everything worked fine for a few days and then just stopped. We couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so we called Aaron. As usual he didn't answer his phone ( that started after we gave him a deposit for the work) He finally called me back a full 24 hours after my first call. He refused to come out and look at what could be wrong. Telling me that he was too busy and booked out a few months. That I was lucky he made it out in the fist place. He told me he'd call me back in a few hours and see if he could squeeze me in. 2 days went by and no phone call from Aaron Tompkins. It'a the middle of winter, he took my money put in the equipment and wouldn't come back to rectify the issues. Fortunately, a family friend referred another company who came out and fixed the issues. It took them maybe an hour and it was up and running. Aaron finally called me back 4 days later!! I told him we had another company fix it and asked where I could send the bill to be reimbursed by him. He lost his mind after that. Yelling and swearing at me. Threatening to put a lean on my home and to pursue legal action against me for harassment because I called him 3 times in 2 days trying to get answers. When I told him that we had no heat for 4 days and he was nowhere to be found. He said, "show me in the contract where it says the equipment needs to be running" In legal terms it says is that he would provide and install equipment that would be specifically sized for me home. He was proud of the fact that he had a loophole in his contract and tried playing games to dance around it. Very dishonest person. Stay FAR AWAY from him.

In 2013 they installed my geothermal HVAC, retrofitting my 100 year old farmhouse without ripping it apart when they installed ductwork. They even incorporated my propane furnace (at my request) to use that blower system and provide backup heat in severe cold. When the furnace blower failed earlier this year, they replaced it temporarily with a spare furnace of theirs, and now have installed the long term solution, a hydronic air handler with electric coil for back up on severe cold. So now my heat is efficiently provided just with electricity, and since I generate my own electric with photovoltaic, I now live in a near net zero home. No more propane bill, and I've paid in advance for a lifetime of electrify, so no more electric bills! And a home that is evenly heated and comfortable all the time. If you are considering geothermal, this is the company to contact. DO NOT go to a plumber! Aztech has real engineers who calculate heat loads after testing how tight the house is and design the system accordingly, not seat of the pants like your plumber.
