    Smoked Chicken Wings
    FoodJunkie J.

Heyyy Yelpers, My babe thought my post wouldn't be complete if I just added a picture of my Smoked Wings and not the St. Louis Ribs. It's true. I can't front on the ribs cause' they're pork and I don't eat it. However, I heard they sell beef ribs on Saturday's....You know I'm there! Yelp! Anyways....Everyone who had something from Adam's Rib & Grille tonight enjoyed the food too **** much lol Do you wonder how much they enjoyed the food? I'll tell it....(lol)...The food was so good...everyone's sleep, including my NEIGHBOR. Yes, I like my neighbor! She's alright with me. I got her a platter too. I know what you're thinking...why I'm not sleep? I'm a swallow from being there, but if I didn't write this review.........you wouldn't be able to prepare to go there tomorrow. So, you're welcome!!!!! Lol Anyways, get yourself what I call "THE SPECIAL" AKA Three Meats + 2 Sides during your initial visit or every time you go! Each platter is served with a cornbread muffin. The many choices are as follows: Meats: St. Louis Ribs, Smoked Chicken Wings, Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Beef Brisket, Fish and Smoked BBQ 1/4 Leg Chicken Sides: Collard Greens, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Macaroni and Cheese, Candied Yams, Baked Beans, Coleslaw and Fries Run there. Walk there. Catch a bus. Catch an Uber/Lyft. Catch a train. Ride a bike. Ask for a ride (just not from my neighbor. She's My friend hahahahahaha) Fly there. Row a Boat...quickly down Philadelphia Pike lol JUST DO IT and compliment the Chef. Please don't forget to TIP.......... Peace and Chicken Wing Grease, Food Junkie J

    Brisket?????

Save yourself the disappointment and $$$. This is the worst BBQ I have ever had. It should be a crime to call this brisket.

    Beef Ribs

I had such high hopes and expectations for this local bbq establishment in Claymont. After dropping $97 dollars on (1) rack of beef ribs, (1) rack of pork ribs, 18 wings out of 20 purchased, along with a couple of sides... I expected this to be some bombass bbq that would make my soul cry. Unfortunately, the beef ribs were nothing short of beef jerky. Dry, chewy, minimal protein and no bbq sauce (sauce was requested). The pork ribs were somewhat better but not by much. A splash of bbq grazed this pork ribs but they too were dry, just not as chewy and dehydrated as the beef ribs. Lastly, the wings were absolutely the star of the show. These little nuggets were smoked to perfection and crisped in the fryer. If I do go back, it's definitely for the wings but I guarantee I'll be counting them one-by-one as they load them into the clamshell. Unfortunately, for such a large sum of money... the quality of the product, the service, lack of attention to detail, and being short changed on 2 wings is just crushing my motivation for a return visit.

    Pulled chicken??

Ordered pulled chicken and got what looks like chip steak and tastes like a ground up slim jim with grocery store BBQ sauce on it. Sides tasted mediocre and cheap. Pass.

It had that welcoming, hometown vibe where everyone seemed comfortable, and you could tell the staff genuinely cared about the food and the people they were serving. I've had Italian subs all over the country and this one is honestly the best I've ever had. Fresh bread, quality meats, crisp toppings, and everything perfectly balanced. Nothing flashy, just an incredible sandwich made the right way. The biggest compliment I can give is that before heading to the airport to fly back to California, I made sure to stop here one more time. I knew I'd regret leaving without one last Italian sub and I even bought a shirt as a souvenir. If you're anywhere nearby, don't overthink it. This is one of those rare places that lives up to the hype. Great food, great people, and the kind of hometown atmosphere that makes you feel like you've been coming here for years!

The chicken picatta was so, so good- just the right amount of lemony goodness. The Marsala was my husband's favorite- he's said it's some of the best he's had. The decor and staff are everything you want in a family-owned Italian restaurant. There was Sinatra music playing and My Cousin Vinny on the TV - it was great. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It is a small restaurant with limited seating. If you are pressed, make a reservation. Don't go here, if you want quick, impersonal service. Street parking, just a heads up.

I tried the meatball appetizer - it was decent but not really anything special. For dinner I had the chicken parm in a blush sauce which came with a side of gnocchi and my dining partner had grandmas Sunday gravy, again both decent. We skipped dessert because it was a decent amount of food. The other thing I'll mention is you're going to want to make reservations if you go. The entire restaurant seats what seems like 30 people.

The walls are red with a black wainscoting paneling and framed pictures, sconces, and a small wine rack can be found on the red part of the wall. The ordering counter is also nearby and has a display case with pizza pies in it. We were immediately seated after arriving and ordered the following: Medium holiday veggie pizza, which has mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, ricotta, green peppers, and diced tomatoes. We didn't realize that the pizza didn't have red sauce but we still liked it. Hubs said that he needs to read the menu closer next time when ordering pizza. This wasn't the first time we accidentally got a no sauce pizza. LOL. Daughter and I shared Vongole, which is linguini tossed with 12-15 little neck clams with your choice of white or red sauce. She chose red sauce. We also got a choice of soup and she chose pasta fagioli. She liked the clams and said that the entree was nice and saucy. I prefer white clam sauce, though. So, I will try that next time. Fried calamari- calamari golden fried squid with side of homemade sauce. I liked that the calamari wasn't breaded. This is my favorite type of calamari. We should've ordered linguini on the side and this was Hubs' favorite dish of the night. The place filled up quickly after we arrived. Hubs had been wanting to try Italian food in Delaware. This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. We were expecting it to be a fancy restaurant when we saw the exterior and were pleasantly surprised that it was a pizzeria. We've enjoyed their pasta and pizza, and the garlic knots are a must. It can be hard to get a table during peak hours and there isn't really room to wait inside. If you have a choice of booths, I'd recommend heading toward the back, as it's further from the takeout pickup area and the front can get chilly during the cooler months from the door being opened frequently. Five stars honestly doesn't feel like enough…read more Boro Cafe catered breakfast for a meeting I attended in Delaware, and I am still thinking about their cheese danish a month later. And I need to be clear, I am a pastry girl. I have eaten my fair share of danishes. This was something completely different. The pastry was unbelievably flaky and layered, with this slightly crisp, almost crunchy outside and what tasted like the lightest glaze over it. Then you get to the cheese filling and somehow the whole thing is just perfect. The textures together were ridiculous. I genuinely remember taking the first bite and thinking, what IS this magical delight?! It may sound dramatic, but it was one of the most delightful things that has ever touched my lips. I cannot understand how these pastries are coming out of this little cafe in Delaware and aren't being shipped worldwide. Boro Cafe, PLEASE figure out nationwide shipping because I would happily have a box show up at my door.
