I highly recommend supporting these two small very new businesses. Both are owned and operated by good, hard-working customer service oriented people. A day of drinking and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan ended with a Adams' Rib & Grille brisket sandwich taken to Hangman brewing. So I finally made it to Adam's and my tummy says "Yes"! Been seeing them for so long and I kept thinking "I gotta go there and give them a try. Glad I finally made it. The place is immaculate. Very clean and well lit. The owner was there and greeted us warmly and went through the entire menu. They have something for everyone. Ribs, brisket,wings- smoked and fried, fish (the real kind!!).. Check out the menu online. Sides are banging too. Mac n cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, potato salad. I had the greens and the sweet potatoes with some fried fish.And it was fresh ! My girlfriend had smoked wings and ribs. I stole some of her ribs and I WILL be ordering them next time. Tender and delicious. Better than the place in Booth's Corner.. Ok I want to start with the fact that they charge a tax and we are in Delaware That actually is bothersome as I went to order on Website and noticed it so instead of ordering online I called in my order and compared prices and yup calling In they charge a tax but on the receipt it states Food Cost Surcharge but online says Tax, so either way their prices are not cheap and their portions are not that big in my opinion. I had such high hopes and expectations for this local bbq establishment in Claymont. After dropping $97 dollars on (1) rack of beef ribs, (1) rack of pork ribs, 18 wings out of 20 purchased, along with a couple of sides... I expected this to be some bombass bbq that would make my soul cry. Unfortunately, the beef ribs were nothing short of beef jerky. Dry, chewy, minimal protein and no bbq sauce (sauce was requested). The pork ribs were somewhat better but not by much. A splash of bbq grazed this pork ribs but they too were dry, just not as chewy and dehydrated as the beef ribs. Lastly, the wings were absolutely the star of the show. These little nuggets were smoked to perfection and crisped in the fryer. If I do go back, it's definitely for the wings but I guarantee I'll be counting them one-by-one as they load them into the clamshell. Unfortunately, for such a large sum of money... the quality of the product, the service, lack of attention to detail, and being short changed on 2 wings is just crushing my motivation for a return visit. read more

The one piece of fish that I was given didn't have any flavor, very bland. I called to speak with the owner but he wasn't available. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, fries and a drink for $9.95 and it was delicious. The sandwich was very big, I cut it in half to save the rest for later . They were out of brisket (it's the grand opening and I think they sold out fast!) so I got the pulled pork and it literally melted in my mouth. First off beef ribs have barely any meat on the bone. Asked if everything was okay I told them no meat on this the head cooks reply was "well that's beef ribs" $16.95 for two beef ribs with no meat barely, perhaps the meat fell off? Here are the things my family tried: beef brisket, smoked wings, fried fish, pulled chicken sandwich, collard greens, green beans, Mac and cheese, potato salad, candy yams. Everything was so delicious! The wings were cooked to perfection and the brisket was so tender and flavorful. The bbq sauce they have is very tasty. Not a seafood fan, but I was told the fish was also very nice and flaky. The sides are good as well, but the Mac and cheese is a kinda dry and bland. Probably the weakest side they have. It could stand to be cheesier and a touch more seasoning. The greens were nice as well, but could use some meat in the broth to really give it that extra oomph! Just picked up my food from here and didn't even make it out of the parking lot without having to stop and try a little of everything. This maybe the best brisket I've ever had. No other way to describe it. The wings were recommended and are so good! Both the wings and pork ribs are fall off the bone tender. The cornbread is perfect too. We decided to try Adams' Rib and Grille today for the 4th of July. My family thinks it's the worse barbecue we have every had. My ribs were burnt and charred. The pulled pork was terrible and looked and tasted like it came out of a bag by Cisco. My husband ordered baked beans. The cup was filled with liquid and maybe had three tablespoons of beans at the bottom. My turnips greens were good and I liked my potato salad, but we would never go back. I'm very tough on BBQ places because I've had the fortune to have great BBQ in my day. I got a pulled chicken sandwich and cornbread. One of the best pulled chicken sandwiches I've had. Definitely in the top two. Great BBQ sauce. Really impressive flavor. The cornbread was really good, too. I will definitely go back. I actually give them 4.5 stars. 5 stars for the food, 1/2 star deduction because the kids working there couldn't keep their masks on. It was either below the nose or lower. Masks suck. I get it. But the only way I feel remotely comfortable in a restaurant is if everyone has their masks on. Otherwise, excellent BBQ. read more

My misses and I tried this place last night and all I can say is YUM! They were sold out of alot of items but like I told the gentleman that helped us.. Thats a good problem to have!
