Extremely uncomfortable hospital bed. We reported this to their customer service, who said they'd get back to us and they never did. Called again and they tried to rent us an air mattress for another $300 per month above the price of the $300 monthly rental for inadequate hospital bed. Horrible customer service, spoke with several people who said they'd have to call us back. The only option for us was to pay more money. They're in their way to pick up the bed and we expect a full refund. read more

Well, I found their listing on yelp and they have two listings on yelp one for Laguna Hills and one for Newport and I was calling for the Newport one. I was ready to drop up to $1000 on a wheelchair today for my mother and these people haven't updated their listing on yelp Google or Apple Maps and when I called them and explain to them that they need to fix it they Leslie me that was insulting. And I explained to her I'm not trying to insult you. I'm trying to help your business out because I myself rent a business and it's not hard to contact Yelp or I found their Newport listing and update the address. I bought one patient chair in 2016 from Adopt 2 it. In May 2024 the chair failed after providing 8 year of service. I bought another Power Lift chair from Adapt 2 It. The chair was brought to my residence and was set up by the Company person. The Chair is operating without any problem. I hope to get another 8 year's of service. CHECK Amazon first!!! Just took my wife to buy compression socks form a little surgery. I paid over $100.00 My wife put them on after a few hours the started coming down on her leg. Brought the back and the exchanged them. My wife put on the second pair and did the same thing. Found a pair on Amazon for $43.00 with a ribbed lining which held up the stocking. Called the store speaking to a very unhelpful person who refused to refund. After a while she said to come in and talk lol. Looking on Amazon again, the stockings that she sold me only cost $23.00 So that means they must of paid around $10.00 ( my guess). What a mark up .. I went into this store looking for a certain type of screw for my 97 year old Grandma's walker. They told me they had several different types and I had to bring the walker in before they would sell me the screw. I explained to them that I was more than willing to pay for several different types of screws but they still refused to sell me the screws. I believe they wanted me to bring it in so they could sell her a better walker. Will not go back to them, for anything. This is the second time this store has disappointed me, their service stinks! I was referred to this place from Villa Valencia Skilled Nursing as my mother needed an item they carried. Because I work in Newport Beach until 5pm, I wasn't sure I could get there in time. I arrived right before they closed, but they were kind enough to stay open and help me find exactly what I was looking for. While it may have just seemed like a small sale at the end of a long day, I was able to take the item to my mother a day early and for this I am grateful. I recently needed to be fitted with new compression clothing and was referred to Adapt 2 It by my physical therapist at Saddleback Memorial. Fortunately, once there in person, Leslie spent considerable time with me in making sure we had just the right size & set up. She is delightful, by the way with no sense of oversell. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the store as being cluttered. Well, I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder/customer. Were there nice long sleek shelves and wide aisles with little inventory to choose from, that might fill the bill for a jewelry store or fashion boutiques. With medical needs, however, having inventory on hand may give the image of being full but it also can add considerably to your selection and possibly save you a return trip or two, not to mention cutting time for those of us in pain since you're going home with whatever it is you need that day. Btw, honest, no one asked me to give this review. I just think Adapt 2 It deserves it and would hate to see a couple of bad reviews stop anyone from giving them a visit ! Asked for compression stockings. Described exactly what I wanted--20-30 open-toe compression stockings that go around your waist. The owner, I later learned, seemed really... confused. About everything. Then she measured the circumference of my ankle, walked over to the JOBST wall, and picked a pair of 10-15 thigh-highs to hand to me. I restated that I wanted open-toed stockings 20-30mm. She stared at and consulted with the wall for a really long time even though it was already obvious that there weren't any stockings at all. Still confused, she asked me if I wanted to order them to the store, so I said yes. At this point it's after hours, registers closed, which also seemed confusing to her, so she wrote my name, number, and order down and said she would do it on Monday. Monday came and went. For a place that is supposed to help one "Adapt 2 it" and live with debilitating diseases, this place is hostile and unwelcoming to say the least. Leslie, one of the owners, is the most atrocious and repulsive person that my family has ever come in contact with on our journey of helping my mom adapt to her life with ALS. Leslie is callous, unsympathetic, inpatient, heartless, and discourteous. I could use many other negative terms, but we will leave it at that. Additionally, all of the employees are just downright awful, except for Butch. He is kind and always willing to go out of his way to problem solve. However, it does not make up for the lack of professionalism and customer service of all the others. I was desperate to find ankle and leg braces to assist me with drop foot and polyneuropathy. The hospital had given me metal supports that were so uncomfortable that I could not even wear them. Then I discovered Adapt 2 It in Laguna Woods. Not only did they have braces that were light weight but comfortable and lifted my feet so that I would not trip with drop foot. Adapt 2 It is the only store that I have found to carry these European made braces. Leslie and her staff were wonderful in assisting me and adjusting the straps so they fit me exactly. We accidentally found this Gem of a store!! I am disabled and I had a manual wheelchair, but as my condition was making my body deteriorated faster then the insurance would allow me to get a new chair. I was stuck being a prisoner of my own home because I couldn't push my chair anymore. My husband and I stumbled on this shop, from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like family. They answered ALL of my questions and helped me not only get a powered wheelchair that was PERFECT for me but also a special brace for my foot!! The owner, Leslie, is so sweet, but so are the entire staff. If you are looking for ANYTHING to help get you or a family member medical supplies, mobility aids, anything.... Love this place! It's next door to Starbucks off El Toro. Make a left BEFORE you see the SBUX if traveling away from the 5 fwy otherwise u head into Leisure World and turning around is a PITA. I needed a waterproof boot thingy to cover my leg after surgery. My insurance said to use a trash bag and rubber band. HA! My insurance claimed they had never heard of a waterproof cover for casts on arms or legs so they tried not to pay for it. After I called, the dude who answered knew exactly what I needed and knew that if my doctor wrote a prescription for what I needed, they did not have to charge me sales tax, PLUS they accept Medical/Flexible spending (FSA) cards. So you can use your FSA card if your employers Ins provides them, meaning ZERO out of pocket, TAX FREE purchases and, in my case, my insurance has to reimburse me for the full cost I paid.
