I would say the presentation isn't always the best but the food is cooked well. We only been there for breakfast and to be honest for the portions and variety, it seems a bit over priced but with prices rising, you gotta do what you gotta do. Service was nice, the food did take a while to come out but it was fresh and served with a smile. The portions are not huge but they're not tiny either. I am guessing that they were understaffed because everything was slow. It is a small restaurant with not a lot of seating. They seem to get the overflow from the nearby diner. I have fallen in love with this place, specifically their legume. It's always flavorful and fresh. The service is prompt however, you do have to wait a while for the food. The guys at the front always keep me entertained while I wait. The prices of the food are awesome as they give you huge portions that last for a few days for me. Came here for a late Mother's Day brunch. My husband booked it based off reviews on Google. We had a reservation but had to wait about ten minutes as it was fairly crowded. It is a small restaurant but nice inside. They were playing music some of which I enjoyed and some not so much. Once seated we ordered drinks and our meal as we were all fairly hungry. Drinks came out almost right away but there was a bit of a wait for the food. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Our food came out very hot. I ordered a steak omelette with a side of French toast. The French toast was delicious and only came with one. I should've asked because I would've just ordered the French toast meal. The omelette was good as well. Everyone enjoyed their food but we found it to be pricey. We had an issue with our food and it was handled immediately. We came for lunch but they offer breakfast at either time, so we had a bit of both. We recognized the location as the former setting for an Italian restaurant we'd liked. There's ample free parking right outside. Inside, the restaurant is small, but cozy. We were able to grab an open table even though they were busy. My husband ordered from the breakfast side of the menu. He had their hotcakes with two eggs and crisp bacon. He said it was very good and ate every crumb. As it was a cool day for Florida (in the 60's), I felt like soup. I got their daily soup, potato. It was delicious. Small chunks of potatoes in a creamy base with chives. It was topped with crisp bacon crumbles and shredded cheese. The soup was served piping hot. I really, really liked it. We love "supporting local" especially at this time of the year. Cute little neighborhood place. For the price, portion size and food prep were lacking. It took too long to get our food and there were only two other tables because it was late morning. My wife ordered French Toast. She used lots of extra syrup because it was dry. Seems they did not soak the bread enough. I had the blackened Salmon and eggs. Over easy eggs had a pool of oil on top and the Salmon did not seem to have blackening spices. Both were cooked to the right temp. Overall not terrible but also not worth the price. 4 of us spent over $105 for breakfast and didn't order beverages other than 2 regular coffees and 4 waters. read more

The omelettes range from $15-$17 and appeared to be egg beaters (very flat and no fluff) with the additions just tucked inside rather than cooked into it. The biscuits were dry and did not appear or taste homemade. The cheese did not appear to be high quality as it was set on top and didn't melt into the dish as expected. Kids pancakes were rubbery and not fluffy which is indicative of a frozen not fresh. Also came with syrup already on them, which is odd for a breakfast place. I ordered the island twist sangria, and it was very GOOD! I enjoyed my drink. Overall the food and drinks were very good. I love how they pay attention to details with the ambiance. Fast and friendly service. My coworker recommended this place and we decided to go here for lunch. We got here around 12:20 and within minutes we were attended to. Our meals did not take long to be prepared. Inside was very clean and decorated nicely. I did not know what to expect of the food but it exceeded my expectations. I had the penne alla vodka pasta and it was such a hefty serving. It was delicious- I had to take some to go. My coworker opted for breakfast and the portion size was huge! This is a new restaurant in the neighborhood so I will write this review with grace. There is definitely opportunities for improvement when it comes to the service and quality of food. I won't say my experience was bad, but it wasn't amazing either. We came Saturday morning excited to do brunch, but our expectations were already shot down when told our waiter was under 21 and we couldn't order any of the mimosas until someone of legal drinking age came on the shift. I totally understandable about needing someone of legal age, however, I think that is something super important to have on the weekends from opening. Other than that our server was super sweet and kind, and just seemed like he was a family rather than actual staff. This place is small so I could see an issue with seating, luckily, we got there before the rush. The ambience inside is cute, and very vibrant, and definitely meets the aesthetics of what a brunch spot would look like. Now the food was just OK to me, it definitely taste like something I could make at home. From the omelette to the French toast and I feel like the pictures on their Instagram looks a little bit more gourmet than what you get in person. When our small group came in, we asked for coffee and were served half a cup each - the new pot needed to be made. I went there because it was past noon and most of the places I like would be packed at that time. The taste of the food was not bad, but the presentation, the size and service were awful. The pancake the kids ordered were the smallest freezer portions. They served the eggs with no toast or bread. Everything was smaller than normal portion. For the amount of money I spent there, I regretted not going to First watch as usual. It was disappointing to hear small kids not feeling satisfied with their meals. I would never go there again. The food was absolutely amazing--no complaints there at all. What really disappointed me was the service. When we arrived, we were barely greeted and felt rushed through the process. Yet when white patrons came in, the energy shifted completely--they were welcomed warmly, given attentive service, and treated with so much more enthusiasm. The contrast was obvious and disheartening. What makes it even more disappointing is that management is Black like us, yet the lack of equal treatment still happened. I have been here twice now. The Owner Bernard is nice. The bathroom is clean and the colors in restaurant are bright and welcoming. The Chicken Philly was good but I don't do mushrooms and ask to swap it out for green peppers, which normally is on a Chicken Philly. I was charged $1 for the swap The next time we came I had the crispy shrimp with boom boom sauce. This was also good. The portions are good and the food comes out hot. There are a lot of options to choose from on the menu. My family had the bacon blue burger, classic bacon cheeseburger, chicken and waffles, Tenders platter, and Chicken Fried Rice Bowl.
