Surprisingly good food! I have been here a few times for lunch. I have a friend who prefers this spot as its between my office and hers. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Just your average little joint in a strip mall next to a gas station. To be fair, when you walk in, it doesn't seem like much either. An attempt at some decor was made years ago but not anything that would wow ya. The menu is cafe like with the sandwiches and salads. They have a few specials too. first time I was here, Buffalo Chicken Salad. I was trying to be healthy, but have an interesting salad. I gotta say, it was really good. just the other day we met up again and I was looking for something different. Right on the menu was a sandwich I never noticed before. The Spicy Leroy. Again, a healthy option as far as the grilled chicken (should have subbed out the fries though). The sandwich was original and, well spicy! It had a wicked kick to it but wasn't too hot. And those fries I shoulda skipped were some really good Texas style fries too. crisp but tasty potato in the middle. I should add, service is excellent here. Someone is at your table as you sit down to bring you waters. And one of the times that we got something that didn't seem right, they immediately replaced it. Nice little cafe tucked away in a corner of a busy strip mall / with gas station next door . Food is regular diner type food and edible . Very bland interior with worn out tables / chairs . They used to have a counter but chairs fell apart so you cab no longer sit at counter . They give you one paper towel as a napkin at your table . Same kind of paper towel you get at a state city run rest room is your napkin at your table . I'm amazed they still give salt pepper and sugar at the table still but please give out real napkins read more

Love this place. A real gem in the rough. Friendly and greet food. It's tucked in the corner behind the gas station, so it's easy to miss.

The only reason I gave this poor rating is because when I call to make a delivery order, the person who answers the phone doesn't seem to be a people person or doesn't like taking orders. I've called a couple of times and been transferred to someone else. As an educated and friendly person, I don't like feeling uncomfortable when placing an order. Unfortunately, that's how I feel when I call to order food from this place. In fact, I recommended this place to a friend, but she had the same experience and didn't like the attitude over the phone. While the service is better in person at the cafe, I suggest improving the customer service when taking phone orders. When customers are in a hurry, they need to feel comfortable calling to order food, and that means being listened to and answered in a friendly manner. Due to my personal experience, I won't be recommending this place to my coworkers for delivery orders." Don't promote delivery when employees who answer the phone don't know how to take orders and treat people right. Is sad that this is not the only review about phone orders. The fries needed more time in the fryer because they were a little soft. The staff was nice and friendly. The decor in the cafe is very dated and dark and their hours are limited. Unfortunately, a change in management was not good for this former favorite restaurant. It has taken a nosedive in terms of food quality, and many veteran waitresses left because of this. I gave them several chances, but concluded that it is time to give this place a miss and go east to Sadie's Grill instead. Sad, really. I used to love this place. read more

Very good menu variety! I work close to them, and I always order for lunch delivery. Copans Cafe doesn't charge you for delivery ($5 minimum), and delivers very fast. I always go with the salads. Good italian home cooking in a Cafe? YES! On my vacation to Florida I went in for lunch and had the Ziti , and it was as good as my grandmother's. Went in the following day for breakfast and the omelet was epic, and the pancakes were heavenly. I think the owners are originally from New York, so the food definitely has that good tasty italian flair. EXTREMELY pleased. Can't wait to visit again and try the lasagna. Wish they had a Copan's here in Texas. I miss my grandmother's cooking. Service was good and prices are extremely reasonable. read more

It's the first time I try an American Breakfast Cafe and I loved it. The customer service was amazing, their choices of food was classic, but it's taste was the best I've had. The food felt like my mom's. I had a croissant filled with sausage and orange juice. I highly recommend this place. They offer lunch specials too and I'm sure I will be back. read more

Wife and I stopped in for breakfast last week. Service was very good, coffee was hot and fresh with very few patrons as it as after 10:00am on a weekday. We both ordered the two egg, two pieces of sausage and bacon with toast, potatoes AND pancakes (a breakfast special- upper left on the menu)! This place has the WORST customer service in the history of customer service. No matter what is wrong with your food, it's your fault, not theirs. Everyone that picks up the phone or is dealing with customers is HORRIFIC. There food is mediocre at best and the customer service is so bad it makes the food taste worse. If they have to replace your food, they will end up telling you that you aren't allowed to order from them anymore. I've seen Google reviews where they have told people that as well. What restaurant does that??? These are nasty individuals serving nasty food. Never trust a restaurant that services 80 different menu items. I've been eating here for about 8 months now off and on because they deliver for lunch. The food isn't anything great, in fact it's not really even good. The only reason I ate here so long is because it was convenient. The service has gotten progressively worse so at this point it's not even convenient. When you call in an order the lady on the phone is rude and kind of bitchy. The delivery drivers will deliver your food but leave it at an unattended receptionist desk and not even bother to call and say "your food is here.". Thank God for inquisitive co workers otherwise I would have been waiting on my food another hour. When I called to complain they had no remorse at all. Her only concern was that the credit card receipt hadn't been signed so she made sure to send the driver back for that. No apologies reassurances or anything. Never ever again. read more

I'm so disappointed, me and my co-workers used to order from here ALL the time when Vinny owned the place. The food was always top notch and everyone who worked there was super sweet!!!!! I would call and talk w/Vinny forever, he was such a nice funny guy. And the delivery people were soooo sweet (and cute...you know who lol) Unfortunately he sold since he was getting older. The new management must be extremely cheap because the food is just awful!!! The last order I placed was their Rachel Grill... worst ever!!!! The fries are now some cheaply made fries not the crinkle cut Vinny would use. The Rachel tasted like it was cooked with month old used cooking oil and the fries look like they were scrapped off the bottom of the fryer. You know... how they are so fried that the potato disappears and all you have it the grease soaked outside. I called and told them it was so disgusting that I would drive it up there just to see if the cook would eat it... I guarantee he wouldn't... so why should I? And pay for it no less! I gave them chance after chance, but that was the last straw. I can't believe whoever cooked that garbage would think that was acceptable to serve to anyone. I came in because of the good reviews. I will never go back. When I arrived I asked for an order to go but said I need to use the restroom first. I needed to wash my hands. The woman at the counter,who I assume was the owner, rolled her eyes and said "well, usually the bathroom is for dine in customers only."
