We came for lunch on a rainy afternoon. There's a parking lot to the west of the building. There was only one other table occupied inside when we came; however, there were a number of folks waiting for their takeout orders. We grabbed a menu and chose a seat to look it over. We were warmly greeted. We ordered and received our drinks right away. My husband got their shrimp grits bowl (from the breakfast side of the menu). You can actually order breakfast all day. He got the shrimp grilled, but you can also choose them fried. He said they were medium sized and perfectly cooked. He said the grits were very good. He likes them on the soft side. He was very happy with his meal choice. I got their snapper fish sandwich. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and tartar sauce on the bun. I got everything added except for the onion. There were 3 large fried lightly breaded filets of white fish. I had two pieces within the bun and one separately. It was very good. I could have chosen the fish grilled if I'd preferred. They also have half a dozen lunch specials that include a side and a drink. They have wings, burgers, steaks, and pork chops but with "seafood" in their name, we figured we'd try that first. We are so glad that we came to try them. It's nice to support a local business -- especially in this newly gentrified section of town. And even better, when the food is done well and the meal is enjoyable.

I am usually not the person that listens to influencers. However, we frequent the Pompano Beach area and I wanted some different spots to dine. So I listened to this one who had rave reviews about this place. I wanted to like it. I didn't though. At the entrance there were people sitting by the door so we thought there was a wait. They may have been waiting on food to go. Them leaving us standing there made us wonder. When finally greeted we were given menus. We asked if we order at the counter or table. She said it didn't matter. So we took a seat. The menu seemed pretty standard. Breakfast on one side lunch on the other. We said we wanted lunch and there seemed to be a problem. They we out of most of the sides. I ended up with fries and a side salad with what they called catfish. But I know it was swai. Catfish curls and has a different texture. I absolutely know the difference. My husband felt really frustrated having to ask for everything thing more than once from the younger employees and having the older lady come apologize only to do the same. The fries were hot and crisp and the shrimp my husband had were good. It was just not the best experience. They were always sitting line you were not waiting on them to bring you something. My husband asked for a refill on his sweet tea. The cup was taken. No one brought it back.

Visited after featured on Check Please! Delicious fresh fried catfish breakfast, scrambled eggs, hash browns and biscuit. Prepared as ordered. Good portions and decent prices. Friendly, attentive server. Inside seating at booths or tables and outside tables on patio under covered awning. Large flat screen tv in dining area. Plenty of free parking in lot adjacent (west) to the small plaza. Definitely will be back!

Shrimp and grits - get them with cheese, peppers, onions, and fried egg.

Paid parking always for that area. When I arrived it was steadily busy but we were able to get seats immediately and chose to sit outside as it was nice out. The waitress was absolutely amazing, I wish I remembered her name but truly exemplary! We started off with the Skiff which consisted of 1/2 dozen oysters, 4 peel & eat shrimp, smoked fish dip. The oysters were tasty and fresh along with the different sauces to have with it, definitely a sure bet. The fish dip was also something I enjoyed from this tower of seafood. We then moved to the Adult Crab Grilled Cheese Sandwich which consisted of brie, truffle, blue crab, seasonal jam Let me tell you, this was the star of the show by far, the jam paring with the Brie was simply mouthwatering and everything complimented each other with different textures and flavors in every bite. I'm definitely coming back here for it! Next we had the Hot lobster Roll which was a great portion that could be shared for two persons and they did not skimp on the lobster pieces by any means. Overall the food here is just as great as the service and I wouldn't change anything about the experience. I'll definitely be going back sooner than later.

Laughing, telling stories, everybody was having a good time. Luckily we had reservations and were seated at a table immediately. Service was slow, but only because it was so crowded. Our server was doing his best with all his tables. The ambiance was festive and very loud. I ordered the Greek salad and the pasta with meatball and sausage. The salad came quickly. It was huge! Quite a bargain for $12! It was a meal in itself. The vegetables and lettuce were fresh, nicely diced and pleasantly cold. A very tasty start. My linguine was a nice portion as well. The red sauce was average, but the meatball (pork & beef) was large and delicious. The sausage was a full link, also a lot to eat. It was tasty. At $15 this seemed like half price for large portions. No wonder the place is crowded. We passed on dessert and brought half of our entree home. It was delightful the next day! The food is good and the prices are GREAT! I saw a menu from five years earlier and the prices were only a dollar less. The cost to eat here has not gone up much despite our inflationary economy. Prices- 5 star. Food- 4 stars. Service- 3 stars.

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits

The dining room is very large and plain and not at all fancy. Our server was polite but she forgot to order my appetizer and didn't provide the separate checks that we requested. We all had versions of the all-you-can-eat scallops. And we never got a second plate because the first one was filled with about a dozen or more large ones. And no matter what special you get, you are allowed some catfish with it. So, of course, we each had a fillet. It was the best part of the meal. While the scallops were decent, we were not fans because they were fried, and a bit dry. The fried catfish was crunchy but flavorful. As to the sides, the cole slaw is good. The collard greens were average. The baked sweet potato was very mushy, and the French fries needed to be crisper. The hush puppies were addictive. If you like large or plentiful portions, add a star, because your belly will surely be full. I couldn't finish my scallops or the extra piece of catfish that I had requested. And you're not allowed any doggie bags with the all-you-can-eat offers. We certainly didn't have room to try any desserts. Two entrees at $35.99 each, one alcoholic drink, tax, and tip was $115.

While trying to make some Valentine's…read moreplans, my husband asked where I wanted to go, and I immediately thought of this restaurant. Even a few weeks in advance, Valentine's Day was already booked, so we made a reservation for Valentine's eve. This is not a restaurant I would come to without a reservation because I saw people get turned away. Located in an unassuming little strip mall, you would never know that there is a sparkling gem of a place tucked in the middle of the shops. Parking can be a little tricky, but we were able to snag a spot in front. Inside, this quaint restaurant has such welcoming decor in black-and-white with some accent colors. There are lots of little knickknacks and decorations from Italy. When we entered, we were greeted by one of the owners, Nadia. We had a short wait before our table was ready. When seated, Nadia went over all the specials and answered our questions regarding her recommendations on the menu. Her husband, Mario, also assists with serving. He also greeted us later during our dinner to check in about our meal. Now let's get to the heart of this review...the food. As someone with Sicilian heritage, I have been fortunate to visit Italy and have had some pretty amazing fresh seafood and pasta dishes there. And of course, I've had wonderful Italian restaurant experiences here as well. But I have to say, Sea Mario tops the list. Before I discuss the food menu, I just want to point out they have an extensive wine list. The menu offers several selections whether one is vegetarian, wants steak/lamb instead of pasta, or has come here for the dishes 'di mare.' We started off with an appetizer. Arancini rice balls with mushrooms and cheese. The Arancini balls flanked a bowl of stracciatella cheese. This was a special appetizer not on the regular menu. It was fantastic and dare I say luxurious? (Please put in on the regular menu!) For our main courses, my husband had the Fettuccini Florida Golden Crab & Scallops. It was Caribbean Italian fusion inspired with a flavorful, but not (hot) spicy, pasta sauce. I opted for the Maine Lobster Catalana. I have had my share of seafood pasta dishes throughout my life, but when this entree was placed in front of me, the aroma was so fragrant that I knew I was in for something special. The pasta sauce was made with high-quality tomatoes and caramelized onions (which I think really aided this sauce and made it different). The dish had clams and, of course, succulent lobster tail and the claw meat. The lovely aroma was not a tease because the dish tasted excellent. If having freshly made pasta with lobster sounds appealing to you, this is the dish to get. (They make their own pasta and the seafood is very fresh.) We ended our meal by sharing a fresh cannoli. The shell was not hard like a typical cannoli, rather it had the consistency of a doughnut. The ricotta filling with pistachio was absolutely out of this world. The plate was beautifully decorated with a berry drizzle in the shape of a seahorse. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with Sea Mario. I definitely want to return to this romantic restaurant for our anniversary later this year. Thank you for the incredible service and dishes.
