I recently took my 2019 BMW X5 to the dealership because the automatic headlights and windshield wipers had stopped working. After diagnosing the issue, they told me that a piece of weatherstripping around the sunroof had come loose, allowing water to leak into the car. The moisture had begun corroding the wiring connection for the rear passenger light. Whenever that light flickered or went out, it caused a chain reaction that affected other features, including the auto wipers. The dealership's proposed solution was extreme: they recommended replacing the wiring harness and light assembly, installing new weatherstripping, and even putting in a brand-new headliner. Their estimate? Just over $6,000 before tax. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion and brought my SUV to Addison Body Shop and Glass. The owner, Mike, took a careful look and immediately reassured me that most of the dealership's recommendations were unnecessary. I was in two not at fault accidents in the past six months, with different cars, and used Addison Auto Body both times. The repair quality is absolutely top notch, you would never know the cars had been in accidents. They also gave great advice about dealing with insurance companies. Both repairs were done quickly, after considering the time it takes to get parts in (which is the auto company's fault, not Addison's). My small constructive criticism is that it can sometimes be a little challenging to get someone on the phone by calling their main number, but once you get someone they are very helpful, and once the repair starts you'll get regular updates by text. I hope I don't need more car repairs, but if I do, I'll be using Addison every time. Note: since I did not pay for either repair, I can't comment on price. read more

I brought the car back to the shop for the repair, where they told me that it only rusted because of their faulty repair in the first place. It later rusted again through the second repair. This place does outstanding work while maintaining an efficient time frame. I spent a significant amount on my new jeep, so picking a body shop required some serious research. After looking up these guys and seeing pages of great reviews on multiple sites, I gave them a shot to give me an estimate on the custom work I wanted done. Not only did they beat another company by $2000, got my jeep back in the timeframe they provided me, but the end result was beyond satisfying. The guys kept me informed with the status of my vehicle, which helped me displace any insecurities I could have had trusting a new body shop. They worked with in scheduling a time to bring my truck in after they painted the parts since my insurance didn't cover my rental. Once the parts were painted Mike called me and my truck was ready the next day! I got a 2010 super white scion tc that had a really bad dented fender, door and rocker panel.. And a bent tie rod.. They took care of all of it. The price is soo reasonable ( lowest quote i got in 6 diff body shops in the area). Jim took care of everything and even made sure that everything was done right.. Explained every bits of detail that you needed to know, really checked and evaluated the damage of the car. I took my Nissan Altima to this auto body shop because someone side swiped and dented the whole passenger side in a hit and run. They are part of my insurance company's "select service" and I chose this location because of its close proximity to my house and the positive reviews it received on here. I could not have been happier with my choice going to Addison Auto Body. At this place you deal directly with the owners which is nice because there's no hassle with playing the he said/she said game. The owners are very professional on top of being a pretty friendly guys! The work took about a week and a half, and I was given a rental car to drive in the meantime. They also have a service that sends out texts letting me know about the progress and status of my car. The day my car was supposed to be ready I realized that I wouldn't be able to pick it up because of a scheduling conflict so I called and Jim, one of the owners, and he told me that he would make sure the car was ready a day earlier than expected, which was pretty cool. The best part of this whole experience was when I went to go pick up my car it looked better than it did when I first bought it. So not only was I happy with the amazing body work that they did, but I was absolutely thrilled with how clean and beautiful my car looked. Do not come to this shop. Came in for a simple brake job. Thought all was well, noticed a clunking sound and called in. Was told by Mario to come back in and they'll check out and see what was going on. Needles to say I thought I'd get a second opinion as other issues arrose after having this shop try to remedy the faulty work that was done. I found out from another body shop that a bolt was missing from my caliper, and that it was causing uneven tread wear to my rotor and would have caused more damage had I not come in when I did. New car, no issues from my end. How can you LEAVE OUT something vital to the functionality of a car and the SAFETY it provides after completing a simple brake job? Luckily the other shop took care of my issue at no cost. This is beyond ridiculous. read more

If I were able to give negative starts I would for this mechanic. Not only do they have poor communication skills but are just plain liars. I had brought my truck in for a frame replacement and was told it would be done in a week and a half, 2 weeks go by and I still have no updates or anything on my truck so I call them. I'm writing this review specifically about owner Mike, he was kind and all in the beginning but as time went by his real side showed. Any time I would call about an update on my truck he would come up with a ridiculous excuse on why it isn't done and just kept dragging this on for over a month. I finally had enough and had called the place and talked to owner Mike, he had yelled and swore multiple times and then threw the phone leaving me to talk to the other owner. Very unprofessional.. he had agreed to finally pay for a rental for me over the phone and the next day when I called he tried to give me a smart car that had been sitting at their shop. I drive a truck so of course that was a joke and when I brought that up to him he basically laughed in my face and told me he will not rent a car out for me anymore. Enough of that but on top of all of this when I finally got my truck back it was just one problem after another. My truck was leaking a crazy amount of power steering fluid, my breaks were horrible (the truck would shake any time I tapped the break) and just a whole bunch of little problems. Of course I take my truck to my regular mechanic to make sure everything is good and he tells me whoever did my car shouldn't even be a mechanic... no hate to this shop some people may love it but my experience was beyond horrible and I will never come back here nor send anyone I know here. read more

Full disclosure: I did not have an actual repair done here but they did pretty much save my life on the coldest day this year when I could not get my car door to latch. Really. My car door would not close. I drove the 4 blocks from my job to here literally holding my car door closed with my hand. No bueno. But, with one lift up of the latch and a little education on how to solve the problem if it happened again and I was ib my way. Along with an obvious recommendation of replacing the latch....but considering the age and condition of my car understanding that I am not going to be putting money into it....they were so sweet and even though it took less than 5 minutes, I feel they deserve a gold star just for being kind to someone in need. A little background on myself I am a maintenance tech for a automotive company. Meaning I know my way around machinery and have a lot if resources at work to find a good mechanic. I do all of my own work. I change my own oil, transmission oil, differential oil, and filters, changed my own spark plugs and do my own coolant flushes and flush my own steering fluid. And I changed my own thermostat and housing. In this case, I'd prefer not to be outside to work on my car in freezing temps so I figure I'd go somewhere if they charged a fair price. So I know how long it takes typically and I know how much my parts cost. I came to addison auto body because my bumper was loose and a fender liner fell off the driver side front of my car. I went to a place prior to Addison and they tried to charge me 70 dollars more. My car is a 2010 ford mustang. They told me I should replace my bumper which I know is the right thing to do but I'm not doing that for a daily driver and a 9 yr old car. Plus I knew my bumper wasnt going to fall off because of the bolts underneath the hood. So I told them to just bolt it on or reinforce it. They put some epoxy and some screws onto the fender liners and was also able to put a new splash plate. All in all very fair price. 318 and half of that was parts for car, 150 for the splash plate and 45 for the fender liner. All in all it wasnt too bad of a mark up for parts and they were really good about the labor costs. Very good work done. Ask for bobby. They said if anything were to happen to the bumper not being secure they would take care of it for free. I'll let yall know if it holds up read more

Everyone was courteous and helpful and professional. I received regular updates via text (that I opted for--you don't have to) and the car looks as good as new. I was hit on the driver's side and needed 2 new doors and paint. The job was done on time--even a couple days ahead of initial estimates.
