Addison has been walking my beloved girl, Molly, for the past few months, and we couldn't be happier with him. I had had a dog walker who was super unreliable (cancelled on me last minute, lost my keys twice), whose boss nickel and dimed me for everything, without taking any responsibility for any of their wrongdoings. Addison is extremely reliable and communicative. He walks Molly in her group five days a week while I'm at work. I was hesitant about her walking in a group before, but he never walks too many dogs at once, and brings his helper if needed. He sends me plenty of photos, and it's clear that she's having a blast! Addison walks my dog Winnie, as he came HIGHLY recommended by other dog owners on my block (even some of the pickiest dog parents I know could not stop raving about him!) , and also my doormen (who have definitely seen their share of dog walkers, but always make a point to say such great things about him when anyone inquires)! Addison never disappoints! Has been so reliable and friendly since day 1..... I think what makes Addison really shine, is his ability to pair-up and group dogs together on a walk that bring out the best in each other. He made sure Gunner had exposure to all types of dogs (big, small, old, young, disabled) so Gunner gets along with all types of dogs. Addison took our dog to dog parks to ensure he was well socialized and always stepped in if things got too rowdy. Gunner isn't reactive to skateboards or bikes or scooters because of Addison. I absolutely love Addison! I had heard of him throughout my building before, but Dante (a 90 pound, then-11 year old black lab mix) and I were fine with the schedule we were keeping. That is - until he got sick! It was during the blizzard of 2015, and Dante was just a mess, and he had to go out every 3 hours for 4 days straight. Finally, I couldn't keep calling out of work, and called Addison out of desperation. I told him what was going on, and that he needed very regular & frequent walks (3 a day for 2 days). Dante had the lucky disposition of loving everybody - even strangers, even without me around, and even on his own turf - so I told Addison that he should go out with him without a hitch, and he did! I got regular updates from this man we had never met, who was in my apartment walking my beloved dog, and he saved the day (and my job!). I eventually wanted to incorporate more daily relief walks into his routine, and I used Addison for a year and a half. Dante absolutely adored him, and enjoyed their 15-20 minute walks together. To maintain his routine I still wanted them to go out even when I was home, so I was able to watch their bond, and it always brought a smile to my face. Every day I got a text about what Dante did, frequently with picture, and always with a happy note. He even stayed with Dante when I had to go out of the country and wanted someone I and Dante knew to stay at my place, and I was updated just as frequently as if I were only at work. I should note that Dante was dog-aggressive, but apparently only with me (I think he was trying to protect me from other dogs). How he described Dante and his interactions with other dogs had me wondering if he was walking MY dog, I was convinced he was mistakenly walking another big black dog (Dante was the only one in our building, I knew he wasn't). I also saw Addison with several bulldogs & pitbulls at the same time, and they were so well behaved! My point is, Addison had a way with my XL dog-aggressive dog - and all others - with a fluidity and ease that one comes to rely on. The one and only reason why I had to stop is because I eventually lost my buddy (by then he was 13.5). But, I would absolutely not hesitate to use his services again in the future. Was coming to write a review for Street Paws without even speaking to my wife (Fran D.), and see she already beat me to the punch writing the review right before mine. Although, I guess that exemplifies how great Addison is (in addition to the fact that I've never wrote a Yelp review before). We've lived in the city for a while and had multiple walkers before Addison for our dog Marco, none of which he's ever particularly liked or been excited to go out with. And that's not because he's a dog that needs to go out only with us or because he dislikes other people. It's because none before Addison have ever shown Marco such love and actual care Addison has. I'm 100% confident in Addison taking care Marco and can see how excited Marco is every time he comes in the door, and am very grateful that my wife randomly met him outside at exactly the time we were looking for a dog walker we could just consistently rely on and not have to worry about. You can tell that he really cares about the dogs he watches over--he provides short progress reports every day, and even shows real excitement about any progressions (like just Marco getting along with a new client's dog) or provides his own completely spontaneous (but appreciated) suggestions to help Marco with certain walking "flaws" (like eating random chicken bones). And something that many people won't get to see unless they actually have Addison as a walker--he's very respectful of his client's homes. He always knocks (even though he has a key) and never intrudes in the slightest in picking up your pups, even without knowing whether you're home or not (sometimes I may be home and on a work call, and no one would even know Addison came to grab Marco). I've already wrote much more than I anticipated, but it's mostly because I can't recommend Addison enough as a walker and anyone using Street Paws will not be disappointed in the slightest. read more

Addison has been walking my 40 lb lab mix rescue named Loosy for almost 4 years. I highly recommend him as someone you can totally trust with your dog and your dog will absolutely love. After moving out of our dog walker's territory, we were pressed to find someone who could not only walk our 3-year-old pug-mix but handle the needs of our senior pug. It has only been 2 months since Addison started caring for our dogs but it feels like forever! He did such a great job helping our 3-year-old adjust to the new neighborhood, and he is in tune with every dog's needs and quirks. When you meet with him and before the first walk, he will ask you a list of questions that will help him understand what each dogs' needs and will go into detail when you do a meet and greet. He is so cautious and does everything he can to ensure each dog is safe when in his care. He does not rush our senior pug when it's time to go out. Addison waits until he is ready to go outside. And Addison is willing to do whatever he can to help with his care and medication. Addison offers detailed recaps via text and will leave a note after every walk.
