Trusting someone to do what they say they will when you are not around is also hard. After some *very* disappointing results with other dog walking services, we were recommended Murphy's Paw by a friend and we could not be happier. Jim is a fantastic dog walker and you can tell is truly and animal lover. I trust 100% that he will take care of my dog and give her the love and attention that she needs when she is with him. Jim is professional and friendly, he takes her out for the time we agree to (past dog walking services have taken my dog out for only 8-10 minutes in spite of me paying for a 20-30 minute walk), he keeps me apprised of her activities by leaving notes, and he is always more than happy to accommodate our schedule if he can. I would not hesitate to recommend Murphy's Paw to anyone who is looking for a dog walker in Chelsea.

Which is saying something as she is not super social and usually a bit shy. He's reliable, helps us out with taking her to the groomer, the vet, or stoping by to feed her if we can't make it home on schedule, and over the last 1.5years I don't have a single complaint. Best part, he also boards her if we are out of town, which is sooooo much better than taking her to some crap hole kennel. Makes it that much easier to relax on vacation knowing she's in good hands. He even txt's us the occasional picture of her getting into trouble just so we know she's doing well. Our longtime dog sitter had left the city and our then six year old rescue dog had never known another sitter. Like many/most rescues our dog has some issues, especially being territorial in the house, so we were nervous to introduce a new person. Adam took the time to introduce himself correctly and patiently to our girl, and she adores him and the other CityWags staff she has met. Adam is extremely detail oriented and ensured Kaia remained on her schedule. She was so happy with Adam, it meant everything to know we didn't have to worry about her! Ever since then we have only left Kaia in Adam's sensitive and expert care for times we have to be out of town or times we need extra care in the city. The best part is our dog Kleo is so happy seeing him, she's always eager to go on walks with him! And his training skills are good, though he practices a more balanced training method than we would normally like. However-- and this is why we removed a star-- he is so busy that he can be inconsistent with being reached. When you're with him, he does give a lot of love and care, but there have been several instances of miscommunication when we were trying to set up training where we confirmed the day before about a training session and because we didn't confirm AGAIN the day of-- he didn't show up and thought our session was cancelled. I also wish he just booked our next appointment right at the end of session, but I think his partner organises everything. Because of this, and maybe this was due to the pandemic: we were sort of forced out of necessity (he wasn't answering emails or text messages) to switch to another trainer. I would recommend Eddie with the caveat that you'll have to be on top of him when it comes to scheduling. Again, he does good work and that should be noted. He just doesn't communicate as efficiently as we like. Maybe it's because his business is growing, and maybe taking too many clients at once (I don't want to assume,) but it got to be too much for us and we had to look elsewhere. He went above and beyond in providing me and my family with a ton of tips for caring for our new furever friend, and was consistently punctual and reliable with both our training dates and for her daily walks. As someone who really new nothing about caring for a new puppy, from crate training recommendations, being there for me via text for sudden walking/training swaps, or questions on raising a new pup, I couldn't have done the first few months without him. I trusted Eddie with my precious little girl up to 5 days a week sometimes, and for boarding and training. I highly recommend his trainings as she and I both learned a ton that we still implement. Addison is extremely reliable and communicative. He walks Molly in her group five days a week while I'm at work. I was hesitant about her walking in a group before, but he never walks too many dogs at once, and brings his helper if needed. He sends me plenty of photos, and it's clear that she's having a blast! He really learns their personalities and tells me how she's progressing on her walks and in the group. You can tell that he cares for each individual dog so much!
