You step in, and it's an old school looking place, but who cares, you're here to buy supplies. They have 2 maybe 3 aisles (loose use of the word), and they are stocked to the brim with things you'll need if you want to crank out cakes, candy, chocolates, and the lot. Cake decorators, this place is rad for you. Different colorings (liquid, powder and paste) and a HUGE variety of extracts and oils in teensy little bottles. Weird flavors too. Edible spray paint, powdered egg-whites. You name it, they've got it. I went to Macy's the other day and they were selling the 2lb bag for $30! Like maybe we should start setting the U.S. dollar on the jelly belly standard. But I digress. Customers should feel appreciated for their business, not just processed through a transaction. I don't blame the individual employee as much as management. A simple hello when customers walk in and a genuine thank you after payment would go a long way toward enhancing the overall experience. Opened in December of last year, the beautiful displays of gift baskets, assorted candy and cookies are a such a welcoming and pretty sight as you enter the store. The candy and cookies are not homemade, but you will recognize several of the brand names that they do carry, such as: Jelly Bean, Mrs. Prindables, Corso's Cookies, The Popcorn Factory, Lindt, Ferrero, Godiva, Ghiradelli, Hammond's Candies and several other favorites. There are pre-made baskets filled with goodies to celebrate Birthdays, a New Baby, Religious occasions, Get Well Soon, etc., but they can also custom make any other basket that you ask for. The section my daughter immediately ran to was where an entire wall was filled to the brim with many different types of chocolates and jelly beans you could possibly imagine. There are bags to the side that you fill with these delights which sell for $8.95 a pound. My daughter chose the malted milk balls and minature peanut butter cups. We took 1/2 pound of each. The chocolate is so fresh and delicious, I am very surprised there was any left by the time we got home.
