Not slightly higher--double. No transparency, no justification, just blatant overcharging. Customer service is atrocious. Getting anything done requires repeated calls, zero follow-through, and a complete lack of accountability. On top of that, they lock customers into a contract, which feels less like standard business practice and more like a way to trap people into paying their outrageous rates. After I switched to a different propane company and had a new tank installed, Suburban was supposed to retrieve their tank. That was three months ago. The tank is still sitting in my yard, 10 feet from the road, creating an eyesore and inconvenience--despite multiple attempts to get this resolved. To make it even worse, they now want to charge $100 per hour to come pick up their own tank that they've failed to retrieve in a timely manner. Let that sink in: they overcharge for propane, fail to remove their equipment, then try to bill the customer for their own incompetence. Overpriced, contract-heavy, disorganized, and dismissive once they've locked you in. There are far better propane companies out there--save yourself the frustration and go with literally anyone else.

The price of propane is outrageous. My wife and I just bought a mobile home that was already set up…read morefor AmeriGas. We pay over $400 a month for propane. This is the first time we've ever had to use it and it will be the last. We were getting low last week so we called for a fill up. We were told it would cost an additional $300 to have it delivered the next day. Even though we were astounded by that price, we agreed because we needed the propane. The following day we had an ice/snow storm and they decided they weren't going to deliver anything until Sunday, which was about 4 days away. Sunday came and nobody showed, so we called only to find out they're closed on Sunday. Monday came and we called and were told it would be out as soon as possible as we were put on an emergency list because we were out and it's very cold outside. At night it's dropping down to 10 degrees. Today they were supposed to come out, but my wife got a message from them saying because we owe them money the driver decided to not bring us propane. We set up a payment plan to get our astronomical bill paid off easier and because of that we aren't allowed to get propane until it's paid off. Then we were told the district manager made that decision. So we were told multiple times we would get a delivery, and that it was even an "emergency" and then they decided to not bring us any propane. Just let us freeze. That's awesome. I will never have propane again, and I damn sure will never go through AmeriGas for anything, ever again.

I didn't know how to start it but the worker there showed me and started it. The next day at home I couldn't get it to start. So I went back and they gave me more pointers and started it and had me try. They do chain sharping. They have looked over it when I was afraid to use it because it got stuck and I was nervous to tighten the chain myself and was worried I bent the part the chain is on. They also give a military discount! They have great value on many products. I always check ace first when I need a new thing now. The staff is always awesome at answering my questions and I never felt judged for being new at some of this stuff. Thanks to them "and YouTube videos" I felt comfortable to not only cut down my first try but I did over 50 last winter. This winter I plan to do even more! Chain sharping is like $9-$10. I mean I really cannot say enough. I hope Ace continues to be successful and Id love to promote them anyway possible.
