Great credit union, we've belong to them for years, the only problem is they only have one location

Nearly every other month my password for the online portal resets. I have called customer service COUNTLESS times - they are nice but always have another excuse or just pass me off to the next team member: "we accidentally have two usernames we generated for you", "clear your cache", "the last password must not have saved". I am never able to reset it myself.. I get error messages. How do you want me to pay my statements on time if I can't access them? And automatic payments do not save? There customer team asks me "For security, we need you to verify what your password is.." "Happily. Which one? You have three logins on your website." I ask this question and I am told "Uhhh for your account ma'am." This is not helpful. If it wouldn't ding my line of credit.. I would've closed this account long ago! I only have one transaction a month I use this for.. and it's a pain to pay it every time. I am in my late 20's, am competent with technology, and do not encounter this issue with any other financial institution. To call this Christian banking is a joke. Far from it. They bought out CCCU AND now I have to pay higher interest. My data is sold without my permission. I can't get the mobile app to work on my phone and they have stupid AI customer service that can't even help. Just an endless loop of dumb questions and when you click the link to get technical help, there's never anyone to help. Even if it's between the hours of 9am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Absolutely worst experience ever!!! If I could give Adelfi zero stars I would. The transition from CCCU to Adelfi has been awful. I've spent three days trying to get a simple issue resolved and hours talking to individuals who can't help. Once I have access to my business account, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. People need to look at these reviews, CCCU has horrible reviews coming from this bank. There are way other banks that make the difference between a bad bank and a great bank. For such a small bank in San Dimas. Management needs to review each one and speak to these customers to try to understand the real issues which are very difficult to relate in a paragraph in this forum. I have been a CCU customer for years. This is my Church account and we have always received great service. That is until the merger. I was told in many emails that everything would be ok. I have had to call twice to get into my account. Both times I was sent to a call center with robotic responses. Eventually I was told I need to talk to a technician. I was put on hold no one ever picked up. I hung up after 30 minutes. After several attempts I was able to get into my account. The next time I tried to access my account all my information was missing. could not see if bills were being paid. called and again sent to a call center and when they couldn't help, I was told someone would contact me within 24 hrs. It has been 3 days no one contacted me. Not very good service at all. I will talk to my board and see about switching our account somewhere else. The phone app is impossible to read. the old app was clear and user friendly. very disappointed. read more

I have been with Christian Community Credit Union for years. Absolutely loved them. Notice the past tense use. Since the merger I have had nothing but problems. My son has his own savings account with them and he has had nothing but problems. Suddenly I can no longer speak to anyone in the branch. I only get transferred to a call center to have foreigners read off scripts, not actually understanding anything I'm saying and when I ask for someone in the local branch, I'm given the number to call...only it's the same number I've been calling. All they do is reiterate the same number. I've spent the last 2 days just trying to get someone. I did get a hold of a rep last night that after 15 minutes tells me he has to transfer me because his system isn't working and he can't help me. I was put on hold and then hung up on. This afternoon I tried the chat option in hopes it would be better. I was being 'transferred' to a representative for 20 minutes at a time only to have it disconnect me and I'd have to start all over. As it stands, my son can no longer transfer money (even though we're both members). He is given an error of reaching his daily transfer amount of $0. We have transferred money between our accounts for YEARS with no problem until now. He is currently locked out of his account and can't get an answer from customer service. We're closing all of our accounts. It's an absolute shame what Adelfi has done to the reputation of Christian Community Credit Union. I wish they had never merged. read more

Got an email from MAF about opening a Kingdom Builder account. Great way to support them and great interest rate! Unfortunately the credit union is limited to Wire Transfers for sending/receiving funds. After multiple calls to customer service I just had to close my account. It's a real shame, because it would be a great service and mission supporting to be able to use. read more

This credit union only reimburses debit card fraud within 60 days and has poor customer service, with long hold times and no option to replace a debit card in-person. I came across the negative reviews of CCCU, and I was shocked. I felt that I needed to offer praise. I am thankful for this Credit Union, and I would recommend them to anyone. I have had an account for several years, but I started using it as one of my primary accounts a few months ago because I learned about the Harvest Checking and Savings. The shared branch and atm through credit union co-op made them feel local, and the pre-approved offer for their credit card sent to me absolutely confirmed my decision. This CU offers more services than any other CU I have ever known. The list of services they offer and how they conduct business also surpasses many banks. I have been in the financial sector for many years, hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, have worked for several banks and financial conglomerates; I teach fiduciary responsibility, provide financial guidance services, and serve as a CFO of a private group of companies. I am impressed with what CCCU offers, and there is greater value in banking with them than other institutions. To name a few important things that set them apart is DoubleCheck, Zelle, Overdraft Protection, great interest rates on Checking and Savings, live secure chat, shared branch and ATM credit union co-op, etc. I hope that this doesn't change after the upcoming merger. Transitioning to CCCU was not as smooth for me as it should have been because I forgot about some automatic ACH payments and changing some of my direct deposits to my new account. Being busy can cause catastrophe even to the most vigilant individuals, but I feel like CCCU shared my concerns and made sure I could get the situations resolved - I wish us members could work on lowering the cost of an insufficient funds fee, although I hope I won't have to face any more of them. I am saddened by some of the comments about this credit union that I believe works to offer their best to everyone. All financial institutions make mistakes and cause individuals harm from time to time, and CCCU is not without theirs. It is the response and resolution to situations that is most important. It should make sense that the larger an institution is, the less they care about their own mistakes or the individuals impacted by them. I don't think CCCU operates in that way because I have always felt they were attentive and concerned. When I had a situation arise, they made an effort to help resolve the problem and a member of their management team even called me to apologize. I feel like everyone I have ever spoken to at CCCU did everything possible within policy to help and expressed concern when I was upset. That is Christ-like, and my part is to offer grace when things fall short, like Christ does for me. I highly recommend this credit union. I think that their hearts are in the right place. And, if you are concerned about your security and financial assets, it is J.P. Morgan Chase that I would avoid at all costs - their deceptive, discriminatory practices are hidden and sneaky, and it will cost you. I have been a member for over forty years, about 1982/1983, starting when it was American Baptist Credit Union. Then in 1995 I married, and my account transitioned to a new account, so thirity years from that date. When John Walling was in charge this place ran well, I would say even extremely well. It was personal, you could reach a representative quickly, usually the same person (Carina was always so very helpful). John Walling even sent me a personalized, hand written letter in 1983 when my first husband died. I recommended ABCU to so many people. However, it seems when John Walling retired everything went down the tubes. The customer service is non existent. Since I do 99% of my transactions online I only contact them when I really need a person to help me. So, just recently: 1. For some reason the Bill Payer Service had a problem with adding a well known financial institution. Shortly after I made an inquiry they deleted my Bill Payer Service. It took a very nice lady two month or so to reestablish it. They never were able to add this institution. 2. After reestablishing Bill Payer, it was set up to deduct payments from a savings account rather than the checking account. This caused the savings account to accrue charges and fees. This had to go through the specialist, again, to correct. Between these two issues we spent literally hours trying to correct it. 3. Today I am trying to reach someone to set up a CD. It is impossible to get past the annoying recorded, "Ezra", and the awful hold music. Speaking of Ezra, I don't know if others feel this way, but trying to personalize a recording with an AI generated face and voice, and asking me to talk to it, is insulting. I am not stupid. Trying to do business is frustrating to the point of tears. I am done. After more than forty years CCCU has lost this customer. Granted I am one customer, so no big deal to CCCU, especially in light of the merger. I called another credit union and actually reached a person, a living, breathing person. He gave me the information I needed. Today I went to their local branch, and a lovely young lady got me all set up with my new accounts. I am in the process now of notifying my direct deposits to go to my new credit union, and I am starting to move the funds from CCCU to my new credit union. CCCU, I use to be a very satisfied customer, but like I said, since John Walling's retirement CCCU has gone downhill. What are you trying to do, go out of business? read more

I recently closed my account to merge with my husbands at a different bank but I have never had a single issue with them. I've been saving up money in cash for years, and my on laws keep their life savings in a safe deposit box in a bank. I was depositing some of my cash to wire to an investment account of mine on the way coast, which was profitable, so I went to deposit $51k more to wire, and the bank assumed it's for illegal purposes, without asking me questions, and closed the account and gave back a cashiers check. Now I've got to find another way of wiring that money, and I'm losing valuable and profitable and limited time. Western Union might wire $5,000 at a time with a fee of about $60/transaction. I tried to explain to Linda to explain to her managers that I'm happy to sit down on Monday and show them my contracts and that is all legal, and that I'm making real money which can be used to help my family, and i reminded her the banks motto is "HELPING TO BUILD GOD'S KINGDOM" and she called back and said management will not discuss the issue further. Run from ANY business that USES God's name to promote their business, they are NOT God's people, not the people at the top. God has blessed me with a financial opportunity, and Christian Community Credit Union has interfered with my ability, they won't be a party to my venture. I recently inquired with CCCU in regards to an auto loan I am in need of. I spoke with Amber, their sr. consumer loan officer and she helped me get an application going. In order to apply for an auto loan you need to submit an online app as a member but I was locked out of my account so Amber called me and just collected a few items in order to run my credit. Amber and I discussed the rates and terms being offered before completing the credit pull 84 months and 6.99%. She said everything looked good and to expect to hear from her team member later that day. I never heard from either. I sent an email around 4:45 to follow up and got no response...the following day (today) I sent an email again and didn't hear back till around 1Pm today. At 1pm today I was sent an email congratulating me on my approval of 8.49% on 84 months. So I followed up expressing my confusion and was told by Brenda (the team member) that they don't offer 6.99% on 84 months and that it's only offered to people with a 780 credit score and a 60 month term. This upset me because they pulled my credit without explaining this although I explained my intent during the initial conversation. During the follow up call Brenda was quick to tell me I could just cancel my application and so I did so. I'm let down by the level of service I was provided. My family is in need of a vehicle and I expressed that and initially was met with reassurance that they would be hasty however they were slow and seemed to have no sense of urgency while trying to help. I will take my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so. read more

They falsely accused me of fraud, refused to provide proof, and even filed a police report without justification. Their Executive VP, Marji Hughes, deliberately ignored my requests for evidence and delayed responses, hoping I would just go away. They opened ministry and personal accounts without authorization , refused to show ATM photos they claim implicated me, and mishandled my personal information. This is the worst banking institution I've ever used. Everything about it is horrible: the app, the website, the customer service. And the name,"Christian..." what a joke. The website is constantly undergoing changes and can't be used. Same with the app. I'm just trying to make a payment on my card in good standing.This happens each month. I stopped using the card long ago . Today, I've spent an hour with 5 reps, transferring me around, and then was disconnected while on hold. I joined through PublicSquare that stated I would get $100 for opening a savings account. I did not receive the $100. I then opened a checking account as once again there was a promise of $100. Still no deposit. Their communications is terrible. I ask two questions in a message to them and they response with half of an answer to one question and ignore the second one. One month I got the interest that they said I would and the next I don't but they always have a good excuse for why they do one thing and not the other. I have dealt with many financial institutions, but their website is not to impossible to navigate. Recently they rejected my direct deposit as they could not find my account. Strange because there was no issue prior to that and they claim it is not their issue, but the company I work for sent me the response they got from the bank that there is no account for me. read more

Absolutely hands-down the worst CU I've ever experienced. Only one physical branch, zero online help, limited phone help, and a mobile app that is entirely unusable. I've been a member for over a decade, and I keep asking myself why I haven't switched yet. The only redeeming factors I can note are that my account has no fees of any kind (which is the one and ONLY reason I haven't gone to another CU), and in lieu of a useable mobile banking app, there is at least a text number provided with which to check my balance and/or five most recent transactions (although it does not identify what those xactions were, only the amount). And I supposed I should add that they allegedly give to missions, so my money somehow builds God's kingdom. I gotta give myself credit for my loyalty; but I will confess, the MOMENT I find a local CU that doesn't charge fees, I'm saying goodbye to CCCU! read more

Unfortunately my experience with CCCU was a nightmare. From the beginning of transferring all my banking to this branch there was problem after problem. It took four requests to receive the appropriate debit card. They created multiple accounts which all required separate log In and I was unable to connect all my accounts together. I was offered a Welcome CD with a great rate and was told I could withdraw without penalty which turned out to be incorrect. The mobile app is completely useless so I decided to close out my accounts with the exception of the checking account. Despite repeated requests to leave that account open due to a pending final direct deposit , it was closed and the check was returned to the initiating bank. 60 days now, twice this credit union is unable to send me a bank card. First they put a wrong address, the second time, no reason given. They are now going to Fed Ex me one on Monday. At this point I have no faith in them. I had five problems here and this is the last straw. In one word: incompetent. read more

In retrospect I think it was silly not to spend another $30 for a wire transfer after thousands of dollars on a new van. This bank has been nothing but a blessing to me, even going so far as to pray for my family's difficulties. They care about their customers. I have been a member of their CU for 6 years now and love the versatility on their website and app. Tools like bill pay, Zelle, budgeting, and remote check deposit are quite handy. I do appreciate the thorough and competent handling of moving monies to close an escrow for our son's home. This was professionally completed by Jose, Member Service Representative. He was attentive to all the title company's requirements. We were able to meet a very sensitive deadline. Very friendly and professional staff including managers such as Charlie, Victoria, and Rich or Rick. I did not wait for long each time for service! Very clean environment! Parking is very convenient. One thing that attracted me to do banking there is that this Credit Union is not profit-driven but fair and loving for supporting and helping mission work for the poor! Other major banks such as Well Fargo and Chase banks are after money making and supporting financially for Pride Month of LGBTQs that are abominations to God! They also require high minimum balances! CCCU only requires $100 or even once not imposing a penalty fee for my balance lower than $100 I remember. I live by faith and always help the poor when I have extra. Christians and all customers: If this CCCU is not too far from your home, open or keep your account! God gave me two signs not to open an account with Chase though it is near my home. I opened a credit card with this credit union some years ago based on excellent interest rates. Well, while those rates were legit - the credit union service STANK. Website - not at all user friendly. Phone - every time I called in (because website didn't provide answers) I was told that I "did not have a card with them." Funny, I'm holding it and get a bill every month. This happened on numerous occasions. Finally I had enough of it and decided to close my account not too long ago. I was, of course, told that I didn't have an account with them. I insisted that I did, was passed along to numerous people for two days until someone finally told me they could close my account. I was promised an email verification of same. Never got email verification. I then submitted this request in writing, recounting the ordeal, and asked again for a written confirmation. Nothing. I guess you get what you pay for. UPDATE: A day or two after posting this review I did receive and email confirmation that my account was closed. Not sure if that was coincidental or not. It still doesn't negate all of the past hassle but at least this headache is over for me. read more

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. This is a sister bank to Partners FCU. They make this place one to give us access to our accounts however they make it soooo difficult to do anything here! I just want to deposit a check into my Mother's account. That's it. She is in the Philippines and can't do anything from there. This is ridiculous. I came yesterday and they said I can't use he deposit slips from the back of the check book. So I get my mother's member number since that is all the representative told me yesterday. I come back the next day and this other rep now tells me I can't because the check isn't signed so I said I will sign it. It's a straight f*cking deposit. No cash back or anything. And nope, can't do it. Have a blessed day my a$$! I can't stand this place! UPDATE: I came back a second day with the information needed and they said that my mother had to sign it. My husband and I walked in, to sign some papers for a loan. Waited in the lobby for about 5 or 10 minutes which didn't bother us but I needed to use the restroom and asked where it was located. Was told by Brian the restrooms were not for public use. I had to go to nearby gas station which was out of order so proceeded to Jack in the box then back to Credit Union. I thought that was rude. We were there to do business. We have an existing account and the whole process took approx 40 mins. Would have taken longer if we waited for funding but decided to get lunch while waiting. Sometimes doing financial business takes time and to not allow customers use of the restroom is rude. He said something about other customers who didn't treat restroom respectfully, but why am I being punished?!? The other part of business went well, just didn't like the inconsiderate treatment. read more
