    Adey Meat Combo ($23.50)
    Timothy H.

Great Ethiopian restaurant to try! This is my first time having it and I loved it! We had their Meat Combo dish and it definitely serves for two people! It was only $23.50 which is great pricing for two people. The meats were so flavorful. There were three different types of meats included and I enjoyed all of them. There were also veggies that went well with the meats. There were a couple of veggies I didn't enjoy as much, but I enjoyed the majority of the dish! The service was good! Server was nice. Food took a little of time to be made but it was worth the wait! The ambiance is decent. Not amazingly decorated but it's comfortable. I enjoyed the posters they had throughout the restaurant. Overall, if I'm craving Ethiopian food, I'm glad to come back here!

I had a great dinner at Adey Abeba! Out of all the Ethiopian restaurants in the CD, this one has been my favorite. The meat combo was perfect to split with two people. It came with around three meat dishes and five veggie dishes, which provided a lot of variety. The waitress was very kind and the food came out quickly and was very hot. The restaurant decor is quite unassuming, but the food is very worth it. Free street parking in the area within a few blocks.

We were in town for a few days- and wanted to make it a point to support Black owned businesses. We made a reservation at a nearby "popular" restaurant, but were offered outdoor seating (it's March and it's40 degrees) - ummm no thank you. They suggested another black owned spot- that was a miss too. They suggested another bartender was overwhelmed- after waiting for 10 minutes. We left and thankfully we found Adey Abeba. It was awesome! Everyone was warm and inviting, the restaurant was casual and cozy. Service was great and the food was amazing. We loved everything that we ordered. The lamb was tender and flavorful. What a gem! 3rd time was the charm! Happy that we stumbled upon this spot.

I have been so excited to try Ethiopian food in Seattle and this restaurant far exceeded any expectations I had. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with great service and it wasn't too busy. The restaurant smelled so good too and it has a very homey cozy vibe. We ordered the veggie platter and it was more than enough for 3 people. It has a wide variety of dishes to eat with the injira. While I've never had any of them before but all I know is the flavors were wonderful and spicy. I especially liked the lentils in the middle of the platter. I loved trying out this new cuisine and this was a great experience for my first time. We also got the Ethiopian coffee and my friends who are coffee connoisseurs loved it and said it had rich, dark flavors. Also, the price of $20 split among 3 for one platter is the BEST deal I've seen in this city and I can't wait to bring back more friends to this gem. My only note for anyone who's going here is that the food takes some time to come out but it is so worth the wait and you can tell everything is made to order and with love.

The veggie combo was fantastic! It was so flavorful and large portions. It had a bunch more options than most similar options at other restaurants. They told me the vegetarian combo is actually vegan too. I would absolutely come back here again! They were also really speedy with making it. It's a nice little family place with plenty of seating inside. I would highly recommend!

We hit this spot up after a movie at Central Cinema and boy did it hit the spot. Can't go wrong with a meat combo. It's without a doubt an epic deal with two people for $24 dollars with leftovers! Every bit of meat is so delicious, injera delightfully spongey. And there was a baby hanging around, and that's always fun lol

Adey Meat Combo Adey Meat Combo Adey Meat Combo Great place, but food was not as seasoned as I had hoped and like.

The place was nice, not for a first date as it can be loud and the food was not as seasoned as I had hoped and anticipated

I can't gush enough about this place. It's a cozy, locally owned Ethiopian spot in Central District. Incredible flavors, massive portions, great price, extremely kind staff. The Meat Combo ($22) - each component was absolutely delicious. A conglomeration of 12 different components (meat- based (chicken, lamb, beef), lentil based, vegetable based, and an amazing cheese). The injera is fresh. My new go-to for Ethiopian food! They also have breakfast which I would love to try.

Very nice service and good was fantastic. Nothing super fancy very casual eating but just delicious food. Ymir you haven't had Ethiopian be ready to eat with your hands. We also got the coffee and you get quite a bit for the price and it was delicious.

A sampler plate of some delicious food!

We came around lunch time and it wasn't too busy. Just perfect...a few people so you know it's good and not too many that'll you'll have to wait! The food was PERFECT! It had been a while since I've had Ethiopian food and wow!! Just amazing. Nice portions, spongy delicious injera.

We had dinner here on a rainy day when we were the only table. The service was a bit slow but the food eventually came. We ordered meats combo which was large enough for 2-3 not-so-hungry people. The meets were not very tender and the flavor was okay. We also ordered chai which in my opinion, wasn't spicy enough. Street parking available but spots were limited.

We dropped in for lunch on Saturday, the restaurant was pretty quiet, it was just us. We ordered the Adey meat combo which was recommended by our waiter. Overall the food was food and you get to sample different dishes that come in the plate. My favorite ones were the meat which was beef or chicken, the cheese was interesting too, but I wasn't a big fan of the veggies so next time I would just get the one of their meat plates. The portion of the combo was large enough for two. You can plenty of injera too.

Adey Adeba is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants around. The veggie combo is amazingly flavorful and hits the spot 100% of the time. The consistency of the great customer service, peaceful ambiance and of course delicious food keeps my family happy and coming back!

And, another $5 for gluten free bread (we never asked for gluten free, and the menu says that bread is included). When we asked about the $10 extra charge that we didn't plan on, they said that they ran out of regular bread and had to give us gluten free. And the $35 instead of $30 was because they have a new menu coming out with the higher price, but "its not yet printed." This is misrepresentation and illegal. They were dishonest. They never told us about the price change in the beginning, when we were ordering. When we wanted them make it right and remove the $10 extra charge, they wouldn't. They just said its now on the "new" menu, which is "not yet printed." A bunch of BS in my opinion. The service was a little slow, but again, it was busy and there were only two people taking orders and serving. With this in mind, our food came out relatively fast. The bathroom area was also a little neglected during this busy rush with none of the sinks having paper towels, so I had to use napkins at the table to dry my hands while waiting for our food. I got an Ethiopian beer, the Zagol combo, and the lamb yebeg tibs. Everything was flavorful and paired well with the injera. The portions were pretty generous. Our meal came with 3 side injera on top of the injera plating all the veggies and meat. Between two people, we had leftovers, but a lot of it is a the injera used for plating. I wish the zagol combo had one more meat option in it, but the addition of the lamb dish was perfect. Definitely try the lamb yebeg tips because it was my favorite out of all, and we got it spicy. There's also a meat combo option on the menu as well if more meat is wanted. The beer is light and paired well with the bold flavors of these dishes. Overall I would come back again. A lot of tables had tea and I would like to try that next time.

They remind an OG steward in a building that incidentally looks like a family house with an interior decorated with Ethiopian art. With much competition nearby, Meskel was sadly quiet on the day we went. The proprietor was nonetheless enthusiastic with new customers to her restaurant. Per her recommendation, we ordered their popular items listed at the top of their food menu. Side note: They do not offer a meat combo, unlike many other Ethiopian restaurants. The Food: Their injera (spongy bread) is impeccable with a potent sourdough taste. Despite having had many injera in the past, theirs stood out in this regard and is incredibly flavorful as is. Unfortunately, if one doesn't like sourdough bread, this could be problematic. Each entrée includes a full-size piece of injera. BBQ Special, $28.50 - 4.5 Stars Aromatic berbere-infused steak is slow cooked and paired with peppers and onions. This dish is served in a ceramic warmer with a small piece of charcoal underneath.
