Let me start out by saying that spending thousands of dollars online without personally handling the product is not me. I was extremely hesitant. Probably researched online retailer for close to a year. I finally came across adiamor and asked them every question I could think of. Some neccessary, some not. Never once was I rushed or felt like I was wasting thier time.
The reason I choose an online jeweler was the fact there is no store front, no advertising, no pushy "sales" people and no pressure. I shopped on my own time. This all adds up to much lower costs because of less payout. This place in particular, has a building but not so much a store front in LA, I asked thier background etc.
I searched and searched and searched more until I cam across the perfect engagement ring for my soon to be fiance. I was going to go through the process online as it is extremely simply and user friendly, however, being I was already hesitant on spending a lot of money site unseen, I decided to call.
I again asked several questions and than decided to place an order. The gentleman who answered and continued to assist me with EVERYTHING I need explained the ordering process. In my situation I needed the ring like yesterday cause I was flying out of state. It was approximately a week and a half I called be for I left. My main concerns were addressed and reassured I was. Though we couldn't get a final answer on delivery time at this point he was able to stay in contact over the next full day. He called and updated me and I went ahead to place the order. I was told I would have to pay $120 fee for expiditing the order but I thought when your spedning thousands, whats a 100+ more. Several hours after placing the order, the gemologist (Melissa) called me with "the news". She kindly explained that the particular diamond I ordered had a very strong floresent and she didn't feel comfortable selling/mounting it on the chosen ring. (I know understand why it was 300-400 dollars cheaper than the same other diamonds in that range of the 4 C's) (she could have easily shipped the crappier diamond but she didn't. After speaking to her and others from Adiamor, I had a good sense of feeling these people cared and took pride in what they do) She took her time and helped me find another. She reassured me of the delivery date and understood my concerns of the entire online process. Without my knowledge, rather than charge the entire $120 expedite fee, she even gave me $50 off, costing me only $70. Not that the money mattered but it was certainly another incident reassuring me of the quality personel employed there.
I received my ring yesterday. It is amazing to say the least. Prettier than the picture by far (and I chose this ring cause of the picture, of course) While waiting for the package, my (hope) soon-to-be fiance was still at home. I was trying to push her out the door so she wouldn't arrive when the package was delivered. She did end up leaving prior but my point of this is the box it came in from Fed-Ex was approx a 8x12. Even if she was home she would have never guessed!! So that was unexpected. I thought for sure a package shaped like a ring box. Pleasantly suprised and clearly a thorough thought process on thier part.
To sum this up, I have been extremely happy with the customer service and overall service Adiamor has provided. I am no longer hesitant with spending this amount of money online (atleast with adiamor). I couldn't be happier with everything and I just hope I get a "YES!"
For your reference I ordered the ring number R2661-2. read more
