Went in today and worked with Rena for a manicure- luckily I had the info that this salon was located behind the O'Reily's or I never would have found it. Inside, it's quite nice! Loved the mini chandeliers above each chair, and the waiting space is nice with a white leather couch and coffee. In addition to Rena there was another lady present who seemed to just do hair styling- they were both quite polite, a little older, and tend to have a very loyal clientele, who they informed me are mostly in the realty and property management industry. In addition to a clean and modern interior, and friendly staff, the service was simple but good too- my basic mani is regularly $15, good variety of colors to pick from without being overwhelmed by the amount of polish bottles. I went for a neutral and long-lasting pink with a bit of sparkle to it. Rena makes her own scrubs, and had a selection of 3 different moisturizers to choose from. Service was quick (~40 min), well-priced, and Rena was easy to talk to without being overwhelmingly chatty- good for a Friday afternoon when my brain is fried from a week of work. Definitely going to keep her in mind in the future. There is also a hair stylist who works out of this salon- Daniel? He sounds amazing and I will update my review if I use him to update my color. Bonus star for Rena for not pointing out my awful roots and suggesting I call Daniel, but providing me with info when I brought it up myself- very classy. read more

I just walked out of here with one of the best cut and color jobs in my life! Thank you so much Malisa! She was friendly, helpful, and worked with my hair type. I have dark brown hair and wanted a red or purple ombré. she told me honestly that it would depend on how my hair lifted (bleached) to see which color would take better. Her advice was genuine and helpful because I hate looking good for a week or two and then your hair looks like crap as the color fades. Checked this place out today, wanted to get my hair trimed and have my bangs cut by a professional. Over the past several years I cut my own hair, so going in was a big deal for me! I enjoyed the wash with a scalp massage! It was relaxing. Then I told her what I wanted and after a few more questions, she got to it. I haven't been one to do much in the way of style or primping, but it felt good and she was quick but thorough! This was a nice experience, she was fast, direct, confident and enjoy the 'salon' conversing! She even told me she offered free triming of the bangs! Might have to take her up on it. read more

I went to Do my hair yesterday and my hair was completely ruined i asked for a balayage on my hair and omg they messed my hair up i had a beautiful blond and now i have an orange mixed with blonde and black please be be careful where you go to do your hair and make sure they show you their work first! I received the worst haircut from Daniel. When I arrived for appointment he was with someone. There was another stylist there. She was sitting in the one of the chairs just hanging out. No one greeted me. No one said anything to me until he was done with his client about 20 minutes later even though they saw me. I was the only other person in the place. I was able to hear that client complaining that her cut wasn't as short as she asked for and that it wasn't even. He said he did cut it how she asked. I started getting a little nervous. I regret not bailing right then but thought that maybe that the client was just difficult. Finally when that customert was paying I was acknowledged. I figured since I have thin straight hair and all I wanted was several inches cut off that there wouldn't be any issues. Wrong! It took an hour and a half for his hack job. He was very nice but the haircut was awful. The length was not what I asked for (it was 2 to 3 inches too long). One side was longer than the other with random pieces not cut mixed in both sides. I was so frustrated based on the now 2 hours that I invested to get to that point(& what I had seen with the first customer that morning) that I just left. I ended up going directly to another salon to pay (again) to have it corrected. Totally unacceptable. read more

It is always nerve wracking to try a new hair stylist - one thing I won't usually let people mess with is my hair. So I moved to Vegas a little over a year ago and I'd only had my hair cut once during that time... needless to say I was looking raggedy and needed someone to clean me up. I went to see Daniel at aDias, and was nervous because I hadn't met him prior. The salon was nice. It's small and intimate, probably only 6 or 8 stylists total work there. I color my own hair so I only wanted a hair cut, not someone to try and sell me on color, highlights or products. Well, that's exactly what I got. After Daniel took a look at my hair he asked what I wanted as far as length, bangs etc. and he told me how much I needed to cut off to clean up the split ends and balance out the length in the back. Then we were off for a wash. While cutting my hair, Daniel talked to me about products I should purchase from Sally *gasp* to color my hair at home. I'm in love! He didn't try to talk me into coming to him for color!! He also gave me advice on purchasing shampoo and conditioner - he said, what you buy is personal preference. But always buy moisturizing since it's so dry here in Vegas. And only buy products you've never seen advertised on TV. Easy to remember! Again, I appreciated not being up-sold on salon products. Daniel took pride in my cut and told me 'not to screw it up', because until someone else cuts it it's a reflection on him. I ended up with a great hair cut , blow dried and styled, all in under an hour. WOW! I will definitely be back to see Daniel. I'm told they have a great nail girl there too, I think I'll be giving her a call soon as well. read more

I've been in Vegas for the past month and a half working and constantly avoided getting a haircut because I didn't know where to go. I did a quick search and found this place. First of all -- very cool name! Owner says it's composed of her the other owner's name. Good stuff. I had to wait a little bit while I was waiting but they had coffee and were very accommodating. Malisa was the one who cut my hair. She was very sweet and did exactly what I asked her to. She did, however, refuse when I asked her to come back to California with me. I have lived around this area quite a bit and never knew this salon was here. It's small and cute. I got a manicure from Rena. She was very sweet and explained their salon to me and what her background and experience was. They had a nice nail polish color selection for a small salon. She was quick but thorough. She makes her own hand scrub and uses before your polish application. I even got to pick what kind of hand lotion she used on me. Light pink polish to finish it off. Encouraging me to sit and relax and let my nails dry as long as possible. She does pedicures too, I noticed it was a chair in the corner with a portable foot bath on the floor. I prefer a massage chair when I get a pedi, I guess I'm spoiled. I would recommend her, I may go back and try a gel manicure with her. read more

Went to this place, because my usual stylist transferred over there from a different salon. Malisa, a fellow yelper. Has been cutting my hair for like 2 yrs, so I wasn't about to lose her! After searching for a decent "fade" she got it right. Always consistent, and makes me feel comfortable with her banter. She's easy on the eyes too fellas. Thats always a plus! As far as the salon goes, I can see that it is geared towards women. But dont let the decor fool ya fellas. You can get a fade here just as good as the other joints. The atmosphere was very friendly, with the staff interacting with the patrons and visa versa. One lady even complemented my kicks! Price wise, its your standard fare in-between a low cost franchise and a boutique. My cut was 15 bones. And was well worth it. I plan on going here for yrs to come. All in all the place is great, fellas don't be afraid of the decor, fades are tight. And Ladies, they have an assortment of girly things for you! lmao. I am mixed with black and white so it can be hard to find someone who knows how to deal with my type of hair. I will be seeing him again for my next cut and style! I went from blonde back to dark and my hair was fried and in dire need of a trim. My hair does not grow fast. I was so afraid to get a cut because most stylists usually go cutting crazy. I have had horrible experiences trying to find a good trimmer in Vegas. I don't do any elaborate styling I just want a good trim! If you are trying to grow out your hair Daniel is the man. He gives you a true trim without going on a chopping frenzy. I'm so happy that I finally found someone reliable to trim my hair!! PS. I have been searching for a stylist in Vegas for 5 years and I finally found him! Daniel at aDias Salon is amazing. The salon is located behind the O'Reilly Auto store on the corner of Durango and Desert Inn, so it's a little hidden from the roadside. ADias has the cozy feel of my favorite salon back home, and I was instantly comfortable upon arrival. While in the salon for just an hour I saw a few clients come in with gifts for the stylist and I immediately knew that this was the kind of place that knew the quality of customer satisfaction and really cared about its clients. I was hoping I found a little of the home town spirit in this big city, and I believe I have . . . I was 10 minutes early for my appointment and Daniel sat me immediately with a smile. He checked my hair first to see what he was working with. I have long, thick, curly hair so I know it's difficult to work with and and even an experienced stylist has their job "cut" out for them with me. He accessed the damage, mainly split ends from the hot irons I frequent, and we were off to the washing chair. After the long and tedious process of combing my hair out he proceeded to just cut the split ends as requested. Ladies if you are ever growing your hair out and instruct the stylist to cut as little as possible and lose all the length you gained then you know how great it is to find someone who listens! Daniel did an amazing job with my trim and I took his time with my uneven layers and breakage. The blow dry and style made my hair look silky and shiny again. I was more than pleased with aDias Salon and Daniel and look forward to my next visit. The rate is $50 for wash/cut/style and well worth it. read more

The staff really makes you feel comfortable without over talking (which can sometimes happen in a salon). This review is way overdue. Daniel is fantastic. Likes many newcomers to Las Vegas, I was desperate for a cut and color by the time I took the plunge and found Daniel Devine. I truly felt sorry for him having to deal with a client more than two months past her color due date who had also been spending a ton of time lounging by and in the pool. But within a few visits, he had me back on track with regular cuts and color and my hair was back to its normal healthy self. I was growing it out and he never cut too much. When I initially tried Daniel for my first haircut I was excited because he gave me a nice cut and gave me the semi haircut I was asking for. I thought to myself..YES!..I finally found another good hairstylist I can go to from now on! I had faith. Well...I celebrated too soon. Haircut #2 was still ok but haircut #3 is terrible. It doesn't look anything like the cut I asked for in the picture, the layers are all choppy, uneven and when I tried to explain and be thorough he tried to make it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about and both of us were clearly getting frustrated to the point I believe he cut my hair badly on purpose. Every time I went to the salon for his services I always showed him a picture of the cut I wanted..I gave him three chances but this will be the last butchering of my hair. I am so upset, every time I run my fingers through my hair I feel all the wrongness and ugliness of the haircut. Also when I style my hair it is evident how much of a bad cut I got. I also had my hair colored which came out too dark plus he didn't wash my hair out thoroughly because there was still hair dye all clustered around my hairline. When I went home I had to wash my hair again to get all the gunk out. I also noticed he wouldn't cut my hair the way I asked, he just kept saying no and tried to hurry me up and get me out of his seat for his next client. When you pay for something, especially when it is expensive, you should get what you asked and paid for. Women's hair is just like another accessory piece..you want it to shine and look lovely. Well I feel like I have a dollar store necklace that is already tarnishing on my head. Looks like the only hairstyle I'll be rocking for a while is the ponytail and even that hairstyle doesn't look right anymore....I am so dissatisfied!!!! read more

I found Daniel accidentally about a year ago. I had gotten a really bad cut somewhere else and needed someone to fix it. I walked in with no appointment and was told Daniel would be the one to see but that he had just left on a lunch break. A quick phone call had him turning around and coming to my rescue. Daniel was cheerful and friendly and made me feel as if I had rescued him from a boring lunch instead of ruining his lunch break. He listened to me and what I wanted and proceeded to make me look like a million bucks instead of something the cat dragged in.
