Another delicious breakfast at Adios Café. We sailed in and were seated in minute one. The weather was gorgeous but since it was still a little chilly this morning everyone else was indoors. There were a couple of open tables inside but the host turned on the patio heaters so that we could be comfortable outside. We had the entire space to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. After checking out the sweet and savory options on the menu, I went for all things chocolate. Chocolate Mexicana This mug of deliciousness smelled heavenly. It tasted even better with a deep cocoa flavor and a hint of cinnamon. The drink was so thick that it clung to the sides of the cup. There was no need for marshmallows or whipped cream; it was super creamy on its own. Crepa de Nutella Three crepes were slathered with Nutella, stuffed with plantain slices and topped with toasted pecans and syrup. So decadent and flavorful! Why wait in a queue at another breakfast eatery when you could just come down to Adios Café? They offer a vibrant, sunny dining atmosphere and have flavors for days. read more

Adios Cafe is located right next to No Mas Cantina inside No Mas Hacienda. The area that once housed candles and soap is now a cafe that sells specialty coffee from South America, desserts and homemade chocolates. Everything really looked good and I was happy to hear that everything was made on-site. I tried one of the Mexican coffees and it was FANTASTIC! It had chocolate in it and a hint of chili pepper to give it a nice kick. I also tried one of their fruit empanadas and it was delicious. Cakes, cookies, muffins, meat empanadas, etc... are also available as well as another case that featured homemade chocolates with many different exotic flavors. They also have very early and late hours from 7AM-10PM and are open 7 days a week! Definitely a necessity for the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood and I look forward on coming here again! read more

The Grand Marnier truffle I ate last night was almost as good as an orgasm. Following it, I indulged in wonderful Vanilla Bean ice cream which is among many other flavors Adios has including Avocado Citrus. Good thing I went to the gym that morning. I would be seriously ecstatic to have one of their chocolates every day, with an array of Top Shelf Liquor-Inspired chocolates, like Patron and Grand Marnier. This is a cafe with a bar, small indoor seating area, and a store all in one. There's also some covered seating options outside in the front and the back, but if you're wanting to sit indoors, space is limited. The food was authentic and flavorful. I recommend trying a specialty coffee, or just coffee in general because they were well made and worth it! read more

We tried Adios Cafe recently when we were unable to get into our old favorite, West Egg, for breakfast. And I'm really glad we had a chance to try this place. We are huge fans of Mexican-style breakfasts, and Adios did not disappoint! Connected to No Mas, there is ample parking either in their private lot, or on the street in front of Adios's entrance. They have specialty coffees, and the Cubanos were delicious - the perfect strength, and not too sweet. I had the Quesadilla de Huevos. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, and the sides of black beans, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream were excellent accompaniments. The white cheese was also delicious, and much better than cheddar. My hubby had The Adios, and he was especially fond of the chorizo hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly as well. I have always been a fan of No Mas Cantina. Just amazing Mexican food in a fun and inviting atmosphere. When I came to Adios Cafe, I felt comfortable and at home there. I'm amazed how a popular place like Adios Cafe only had one server running the show. And man did she run the show! She took care of everyone in the restaurant, got their orders, brought the food out in a decent amount of time and packed to-go orders on her own. Good job sole server! I came here for breakfast. The Mexican Eggs Benedict looked good and so did a few other items on the menu. I went the eggs Benedict and it was amazingly delicious! The mesa corn cake was the highlight of the meal. Great version of a Mexican Eggs Benedict. So unique and a foodie's treasure worth buzzing about. Why did I just now discovered this place? Every time I do a search for breakfast around Atlanta, ADios is one of the first ones to come up. I was really stoked to come and check it out in the midmorning with a few colleagues and I absolutely loved the experience. The interior is a bit smaller than I had anticipated, but is a counterpart of the No Mas! empire. (The rest of the property is huuuuuge) The decor is pretty cool and nothing too wild, but it really makes you feel like you're in a Spanish courtyard or something. It feels really open and there is a lot of natural sunlight coming through the windows and doors. The service was super quick and equally friendly. We put in our order and everything came out in less than 10 minutes. I went with the Burrito Con Huevos. It was fantastic. One of the better breakfast burritos I've had in a long time. The black beans were packed with flavor and the salsa that was on top was delicious. Super dark red and roast-y flavors. The plate was garnished with a bit of guac, lettuce, sour cream, and pico and went well with the burrito. The burrito is a bit messy, so I decided to fork-and-knife it. Luckily, this didn't compromise any of the great flavors or anything else on my plate. The coffee is pretty good, too. Super dark roast and it is definitely strong. I enjoyed a cup or two with my burrito. I'm really looking forward to a return visit. ADios Cafe is located next to No Mas! Cantina in Castleberry Hill. They serve breakfast during the week 8-11am and brunch from 8-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays and there's no wait. It's a great option for brunch when you don't want to wait somewhere and want good food. After ordering, our food came out in less than 10 minutes. I had the papas locas and my date had the Nutella crepe. Both were delicious and everything on the menu looked great. Most food has a Mexican twist on it and there are lots of guacamole and sour cream served with everything, which is always a plus. Service was good, atmosphere is relaxed, and food is yummy with no wait. Recommended it for a good breakfast place. This is a unique Latin restaurant that I've been to. It has pretty authentic Mexican food, not stuff you usually see. I went for breakfast and had the ADios. It is a plate of hash browns and black beans with chorizo mixed in and topped with eggs and verde sauce. It was incredible. The flavors worked really well together and had the dish tasted very good. The corn pancakes they had didn't really seem like they were made of corn, and they weren't like arepas. It was just typical pancakes with some butter on top. The Mexican coffee also wasn't too great. It is supposed to be coffee with chocolate and cinnamon mixed in, but the coffee was water based which made the chocolate taste weird. The ambiance of the place was incredible. It really feels as if you're in Mexico. They have wonderful art and artifacts. They also have statues and plants all over the place. The furniture is also very beautiful and authentic. It's a refreshing atmosphere to do work and just eat. Our server was good but not great. She checked up and made small talk but wasn't really enthusiastic about it. You really don't need to wait in line at all for weekend brunch. I had breakfast with a bunch of friends here. I ordered the corn pancakes-- they are very good, but not the best pancakes. I also had black organic coffee, it's good. My friend ordered the Mexican Benedict, black bean & hash brown & egg plate, and the omelette. They are said to be good too. (I've only had Mexican food for lunch and dinner before, so I don't know how unique this actually was, but I know that I haven't seen a lot this before). My husband and I made our first trip to Adios Cafe last Saturday or Sunday morning. We arrived very early (8:30ish) and were one of only a couple customers there. More people trickled in while we were eating. We were greeted warmly when we entered. I ordered the blue corn pancakes with passion fruit butter (recommended by another Yelp! reviewer). The cakes were good but didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary; but the butter had a really nice flavor, and this is coming from someone who always disregards butter when having pancakes. My husband ordered the Mexican eggs benedict, and it was AMAZING. So good! This is a must-try. The flavor of every component on the plate made me completely forget that I don't like runny egg yolk. There's probably no way to say that I've been thinking about that dish since that day without sounding like a total creep. Ah well. It is what it is. Lol My chai latte was really good too, and it was served in a huge mug. I didn't end up finishing it. Our server was friendly and checked on us periodically. The manager checked on us as well. I noticed the employees interacting pleasantly with each other, which is always a good sign. The place was pretty quiet at that hour and had a nice vibe. It was also nicely decorated. I would recommend just going in and checking out the decor and shop. It's vibrant, however, I do not recommend the brunch. It was very mediocre. I expected more from the positive reviews. Upon walking in, it was stinky. It had a distinctive smell of old mop water. I had the Papas Locas dish and it was watery. I was not expecting that. To drink I opted for the guava mimosa and it was okay. My husband has the house margarita and all I could taste was triple sec. Go for the decor, but be weary of the food. read more

In that 40 mins another couple was seated next to us and she took a very long time to even come by and even get their drink orders. The place wasn't packed as it was only about 10 ish when we came in. So why it took so long was a mystery. When our food FINALLY arrived.......It was brought by another waitress who just slammed it down. Didn't clarify which dish belong to who or who the hot cakes belong to. Our food was cool. My hotcakes were cool cakes and was supposed to be served with a special syrup and it wasn't. The butter melted and then solidified (This butter was a passion fruit butter which tasted phenomenal). The avocado advertised with this breakfast was a sliver of an avocado. At this point we were starving and ate it anyway. The flavors were spot on and their chorizo was very tasty. We only wish we had the opportunity to eat hot food vs. cooled food. You can tell it sat, I tasted that in my eggs. Our server took another 15 mins to come ask us if we were ok and did so rudely while disrupting the couple next to us whose order she was taking. I told her I'd wait for her to finish taking their order. I asked for the syrup these hotcakes came when and she just gave me regular syrup. The bill wasn't bad but id gladly pay more for some better service. This was our only gripe. If we're ever back in Atlanta, we'd give this place a second chance. read more

I came here on a slow morning and ordered the chicken sausage potato pancakes and avocado slices. The chicken sausages were ok kind of salty and greasy. The potato pancakes or loose home fries were cold flavor less and greasy. As for the avocado you can't really mess up nature but for $2.50 I'd like at least a half of an avocado. This a very nice spot in downtown atl. I went to this restaurant during the lunch hours. There were many good items on menu but do to time restraints I chose taco del día. I was surprised with shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. The food had lots of flavor and nothing tasted dry or like it had been sitting. This place is good, and I give an extra star because they were really cool about letting us order breakfast despite arrival at 10:57am, the food came out very quickly and it was AWESOME. I am not exaggerating and you will not be disappointed if you order the Blue Corn Hotcakes. You WILL eat them very quickly and be reluctant to share them (but you should because sharing is caring). I also enjoyed my Chocolate Azteca with a little kick. I'm a hot chocolate in the morning/afternoon/evening/all-day person vs. a coffee person. The Papas Locos were also good, and I took a short break from the hotcakes to sample that. It is delicious. Breakfast food places are good. Places that have food this good get 5*. It has cool decor, the service was efficient, the staff were friendly and the food does not disappoint. TIP: this place has a grown-up restaurant next door for lunch and dinner. So I was downtown and searched brunch spots and this came up. Glad I chose them Fantastic food even with me taking the food to go instead of eating in the establishment. Loved the decor of the place. It wasn't packed at around 11 or so on a Sunday. I guess it was really early. I parked in the back parking lot. No attendant at the time so it was free. We ordered the Burrito con Huevos and Quesadilla de Huevo and added chorizo to both. Both were deliciously packed with flavor. The guacomole tasted so fresh. The black beans on the side were seasoned very well also. They both pretty much had the same ingredients except that the burrito had potatoes in it which put it up one more notch than the quesadilla. I seriously love this place. I first tried it back in February with my bestie because I had a buy 1, get 1 free entree coupon. While there, I fell in love with the Cafe de Olla and had been dreaming about it ever since. I never made it back until recently when I brought my out-of-town-hot-chocolate-loving guest to try it. We got there at 10:57 AM and the bartender was super nice and let us have a table for breakfast. Our waiter, Orlando, promptly came to take our order. I ordered the Papas Locos with the scrambled eggs and of course, the Cafe de Olla. The Papas Locos were delicious and if you love potatoes as much as I do, then you must try them. My dining partner ordered the Chocolate Azteca hot chocolate and the Blue Corn Hotcakes which, as usual, were amazing. I may or may not have stolen several bites.... Overall my dining experience was a great one and I can't wait to go back. The best part was that the food came out within minutes of us ordering.
