Wow! This restaurant is amazing for a number of reasons! First of all the decor is breathtaking. We spent a good while just oohing and ahhing over all of the cool chandeliers, decorations & lights. Secondly, we had a large group and no reservations. The staff moved quickly to find us two booths right next to each other. Thirdly, the entire waitstaff was fabulous. As a Mexican food fanatic, I was really looking forward to trying ADios cafe, and, although the food didn't meet my expectations, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and made our experience special. We stopped in for an unusually early Saturday morning brunch. We were immediately impressed by the beautifully decorated space, filled with exquisite Southwestern artwork and glass. It took a while to get service, but once we did, our server, Kaitlin, was very sweet and accommodating. We ordered guava and mango mimosas, which were good but a little too thick for our tastes, and I also had a Bloody Mary, which was adequate. I tried to order the divorciados, but I was disappointed to learn that I couldn't order it vegetarian. I settled on the crepas de espinaca- crepes stuffed with a spinach and hollandaise mix. It was fine, if not a little dry and plain- I had to add plenty of hot sauce. She had the Mexicali omelette which was also adequate, but the avocado was just a day too old. After eating, we perused the gift shop, which is packed to the gills with beautiful and interesting Mexican and Southwestern handicrafts. The gift shop is a must for any Texas or Southwest transplant, like us, new to Atlanta. We look forward to coming back for margaritas and more shopping, but we might just skip breakfast next time. read more

The hot chocolate situation in Atlanta is abysmal. The fact an overwhelming number of locals point you to Starbucks for the best hot chocolate illustrates the level of fuckery we're dealing with. With so many high end coffee shops and their gourmet beans and exotic blends, you'd think someone would pay a little attention and give care to the hot cocoa they're dispensing. But that would be incredibly silly of you. My depressing report on hot chocolate in Atlanta aside, I'm thrilled to have finally tried ADios Cafe. It's completely out of my way and keeps weird hours, but it is the best cup of Mayan magic I've had since Sugar Coated Radical stopped serving their luscious, limited edition weekend offering last year. Their Chocolate Mexicana and Chocolate Azteca are exactly what the doctor ordered. If your doctor ordered you to have a good, sinus-cleansing, bosom-warming life. As of the date of this posting, ADios Cafe is the only place in Atlanta I'd take a loved one for a mean mug of cocoa brilliance. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a rare Saturday morning brunch here. Everything was okay, but nothing was outstanding. Atmosphere// The space is comfortable, but the tables are very close together and the loud voices at the table next to us were a bit invasive. Otherwise it has a cool, Mexican theme and is a nice change from most Atlanta brunch spots. Food // The flavor was delicious with pico over rosemary potatoes and fajita chicken (I skipped eggs), but I commented that they might use breakfast as a way to use up leftovers. The chicken was dry and a little tough. Nothing had that amazing fresh flavor I've come to expect. While the prices were comparable to other brunch locations, the presentation was lacking. Service upon arriving was some of the worst I've ever seen. I entered from the street side and the place appeared totally empty. Finally noticed what appeared to be 3-4 staff (of no mas and adios cafe) at the bar chatting and eating. Nobody acknowledged me at all as I made my way thru, stood by the counter, and then left thru the back to make sure I was in the right place bc it's my first visit. Returned after confirming I was in the right spot. To get the attention of the staff eating, I had to ask off that ed where I was supposed to order. One girl responded simply by telling me yes that this other girl would take my left but she was on the phone (had been on a call taking what I assume was a large, complicated order for a few minutes). After a few more minutes, the other random staff left and the lone person working at adios freed up to take my order. I was in Atlanta for 4 days and I came to this place for breakfast for half of them. We couldn't find much to eat around our hotel and we stumbled upon this place around the corner! It appears to be more of a coffee shop/quick to go place but they do serve quite the hearty breakfast. It was pretty empty during the week when we stopped by, mostly locals whom the staff knew by name. There is a lot of space and outdoor seating as well. The Mexican Eggs Benedict CANNOT be missed. I ordered it both times! They also had quite a few pastries/candies for purchase at the counter. I definitely recommend this little hidden gem. No mas return. I couldn't think of much positive to put about this place and am baffled at the people who enjoyed their experience there. The place was completely dead on a Sunday at 9. We were doubting if they were even open, as there was someone hosing off the outside. A friendly young lady greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. After several minutes she returned and took our order. It appeared that our order was brought to the wrong table, because the table that sat down after us got their food right after they ordered. I tried the blue corn hotcakes with chocolate Mexicana and my husband had the southwest omelet and Mayan mocha. The hotcakes were like lead. The whole time I was eating them, I was just wishing they had fluffy buttermilk pancakes instead. Not sure where the passion fruit butter was. Mine came out of a packet. The hot chocolate was nothing special at all. My husband's omelet was just okay. Something that you'd be somewhat satisfied with if you made yourself, but just meh to pay money for. His Mayan mocha was just okay too. The service was barely existent. I saw people getting up and asking for items. Considering there were no more than four or five customers in there at a time, I didn't understand the disconnect. The inside also didn't feel very clean. I LOVE this place! The decor is amazing, the food is on point. The huevos divorciados is apparently very authentic (that came from a native of Mexico). He said it tasted like his grandma's, which says a lot. The tamarind and chili espresso drinks were sooooo good. My Mexican eggs benedict was tasty and filling. Our tab for two meals and coffees was like $20. Our server Kija was helpful, sweet, and just generally adorable. The store is a must see! The art is gorgeous and the people working there are helpful and apparently very talented as they do the custom wood work you'll see at the desk area. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some of the staff was very distracted and made a mistake to my orders, then tried to bring me the same wrong plate of food 3 different times. When I asked someone a question at the register she told me to wait for someone else. Besides this the food and prices are great and the place is beautiful. You have to order the Nutella Crepes (and get a side of the passion fruit butter and chorizo!) Definitely a must see if you're from out of state and into artisan markets! read more

This is a nice little tuck away for Sunday brunch. It is hiding in the corner of the No Mas Hacienda. I ordered these heavenly blue corn cakes with butter and syrup and enjoyed every bite. I was visiting Atlanta, and wanted to eat somewhere away from downtown but within walking distance of the Georgia World Congress Center. Using Yelp to search for breakfast/brunch, I found Adios. The food was very good, and it was difficult to choose between their tempting offerings. I opted for a vegetarian omelet with peppers, tomatoes, onions, black beans and fresh corn, along with Mexican cheeses and a dollop of sour cream - Yum! (I also ordered a single blue corn pancake with passion fruit syrup - delicious!) The restaurant's decor is bright and exciting with lots of great Mexican art pieces, lighting and woodwork. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The hours are a little tough for the weekend (8-11 for breakfast) but we managed to get there around 10:45. I started with the Cafe de Olla (traditional Mexican coffee with a hint of cinnamon and cocoa). It was perfect. You could definitely taste the cinnamon and cocoa but it wasn't syrupy sweet like a lot of Starbucks drinks. It tasted like coffee, with a sweet aftertaste. I would go back for the coffee alone. I had the Burrito con Huevos and added chorizo to it for my entree. There was tons of chorizo inside the burrito, it's hard to imagine what the normal burrito would taste like without it. But it was full of traditional ingredients and tasted much more authentic than a lot of other breakfast burritos you will see around town. We split a piece of the avocado lime cheesecake on the recommendation of our waitress and the girl behind the counter. It tasted like a lime cheesecake but smoother and creamier because of the ripe avocado. It's not something I would ever expect in a cheesecake but definitely something I would start using... if I made cheesecakes. read more

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the city that also doubles as my go-to coffee spot on weekday mornings. As others have mentioned, it's located on the back end of No Mas, so it is off Walker Street, right next to Bottle Rocket (although it can also be accessed through No Mas). It's a cozy little space with tons of seating. I eat breakfast/brunch here at least once a week and have never had to wait for a table or experienced slow service. That alone is pretty amazing! The food is outstanding and the prices are beyond reasonable. I normally get the southwest omelette, which is huge and comes with fruit and 2 cheese filled biscuit things, for like $8. Dining companions have raved about the benedict. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that it almost looks like a work of art! The accompanying fruit is carved into pretty shapes! I alternate between their coffee, which is rich and smooth, and their mimosas, that come in flavors like mango and guava - yuuum. I normally try to sprint out of there before I am overcome by the temptation to get a peanut butter whoopie pie. Those things are insane! (-ly delicious) And you can always order from the No Mas menu as well, which is nice if it's crazy busy over there. They keep solid operating hours so I can stop in either before work or also later at night if that damn whoopie pie is calling my name! read more

The decoration of the place has true Mexican feel. The waiter was very nice and the service is fast. I ordered cafe de olla and huevos divorciados. The coffee was good although it tastes more like hot chocolate. I was debating between the breakfasts choices. The eggs were good, the sauces amazing. It comes with a thick tortilla on the bottom which I didn't eat because it doesn't have much flavor. The black beans really good as well. Ultimately this wasn't the best dish choice for me. I still recommend this place. If I'm ever in Atlanta again I would come back and try the Benedict or an omelette. If I ever do I might give it 5 stars then because just the deco alone is so cool. read more

That's why directions to all 3 take you to the same place. :) Pretty decent drink selection from speciality coffees (examples like chocolate mexicana, mocha tamarindo and cafe de olla) to standard coffee and tea options. All our drinks were well prepared and delicious. Prices are ok...tad high, but flavors were good. Service was a little slow, but friendly. This is my favorite place for breakfast in the city. Attached is a hacienda where you can see beautiful artwork and home goods, which is appropriate because this location resides in the artsy Castleberry Hill district. Hey open at 11am on weekdays I believe, which is after the cafe stops serving breakfast. I have made special trips from Kennesaw, but usually go when I have some appointment in the city. They've recently added a few new items I haven't tried but they look great. What I can speak on is the "Adios!", burrito con huevos, quesadilla con huevos, and blue corn hot cakes. Come hungry because they also serve fresh-squeezed guava, mango, and passionfruit juices which you can choose to mix with some champagne. Lastly, you've got to try their Mexican or Mayan hot chocolates...I dream about those sometimes and usually order mine as I'm walking out so I can sip it on my way home. The servers have never been rude and the food is always very quick. I've never been there when it's empty because I've seen a lot of professional people conducting meetings or even doing some work solo at some of the tables. When you get a chance, make your way over to No Mas! Cantina for lunch or dinner when the cafe closes. It's more pricey than your typical Mexican restaurant, but it's some of the highest-quality and original Mexican food you'll eat. read more

Came in for brunch! I got the Burrito con Huervos and added bacon. SO DELICIOUS! I also got a passion fruit mimosa, along with a mango mimosa. Overall everything was delicious. Our server brought my boyfriend and my brother wrong dishes. I wish I knew what they were, because they were delicious. Our server did come over and apologize. He also gave us a couple coupons. We were also one of the only people so I was a little concerned but it was a Monday around 10am so I figured most people were working. The decor was beautiful, high ceilings with authentic Mexican pieces of art everywhere. I ordered the Adios and it was everything!! So flavorful, chorizo hash and beans and topped with eggs and avocado. Heaven. My husband's omelet was loaded with bacon and avocado. He was so happy! Attached to the restaurant is a Mexican market which was supposed to be closed on Mondays but the owner was there unloading a new load of goods from Mexico and let us poke around. Of course No Mas gives you that festive vibe, so the atmosphere was perfect and to place the cafe inside of No Mas was genius. Our server was pleasant and friendly the entire time. I ordered the three cheese omelet and replaced the bacon with their spicy chicken sausage. Very tasty, so tasty I don't recall what my husband ordered lol The prices and portions were perfect. I have a weakness for chocolate, so when I strolled by ADios' desserts and chocolate bar to go to the Hacienda to shop, I knew I had to come back. The kind person behind the counter saw my friend and I hmming over which chocolates to pick, so she let us sample. We picked the horchata chocolate. I'm not a fan of horchata, but I thought this tasted close to white chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. A lof of chocolates are different sizes, so I ended up picking the flavors that come in the largest size (for $1.25 you bet I'm getting my $'s worth!!). I got fancy with 2 pieces each of Bailey's, strawberry tequila, and Chambord. I'm so glad I bought these and I would definitely come back again for more. I also bought a Chocolate Azteca since it was the afternoon. Delicious and very sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet, but it is definitely chocolate and not chocolate-flavored water. I didn't like the bottom so much since I nearly got cinnamon burn (ingestion of too much cinnamon), but I definitely want to come back again to try breakfast/brunch. My only complaint is that the space is so small. I can't imagine how brunch would be handled. Plus, there was a pack of laughing hyenas in the middle of the cafe that I could hardly hear myself think. I wanted to yell "No mas!" at them. Was visiting Atlanta and a friend happened across this place on Yelp (where else). We stopped in on a Friday between 11:30 and noon, planning on having brunch but being given a lunch menu instead. No matter. I would have loved to try their brunch/breakfast selection (all these photos look amazing) but all four in my party were happy with their food. I got the lunch burrito (a smaller portion, but I still didn't finish the whole thing) and tortilla soup. Being based in Los Angeles, I have to say that this was not the best Mexican food I've ever had. Tasty enough, but I what really liked about this place is the environment.
