That said, before we even got there, my nails looked so good -- super clean, crisp, and perfectly shaped. Even without polish, I would've been happy leaving like that. They had another manicurist, Dolker, step in and she completely turned it around. She checked in with me on each nail and executed the design way better -- I left really happy. They also took $15 off, which I appreciated. The manicure itself lasted almost 4 weeks with no chipping and I kept getting compliments. One tip: bring cash for gratuity -- otherwise it's Venmo only, but there's a bodega right across the street if you need it. I'd definitely come back -- just booking with Dolker next time. The salon is really cute too.

I had heard that cat's eye manicures were very time-consuming, but my manicure was started simultaneously with the pedicure, enabling me to be on my way in under an hour and a half. I couldn't be more pleased with my standard pedicure and impeccable cat's eye manicure by Cindy, the manager. I also appreciated the drying fans for toes installed at the manicure stations, which sped up the drying process and allowed me to leave without smudging any toes. I highly recommend this salon.

I was nervous, given the climate but there were just a handful of others in the salon, so social distancing was in effect. The service was excellent. I came back in for a pedicure the next day and it was done so meticulously and with such care. I've never had dip powder nails, but I spent a great deal of my work day Yelping places that did a reasonably priced dip powder set and had good reviews. I called Spa Ella to make an appointment just in case since they seemed like a popular choice. I arrived just in time and was seen to immediately. The process is kind of mundane and I all but yawned as round two and three of glue then dip then shake off were done. But such is the process. But I am more than pleased with the results! It is 15 days later (I'll post a pic) and not only do my nails still look terrific, but the growth on my nail bed is minimal. This just about never happens with me. With gel and acrylic, I blink and at day 7 it looks like I've had my nails on for a month because of the growth. So this is new and wonderful. I'm not sure how much longer the shutdown will last. But if and when it's done, I'll be back for another set. Hoping that the lovely staff and families are staying well in these crazy times.
