I have had decent stays at Adirondack Efficiencies a few years ago so I decided to check it out online for my medical appt in the city. As technology goes, there was an issue while trying to check-in with my online booking. As panic began to set in, Ed (the Manager) was quick to help me navigate the app & get checked in easily - providing such peace of mind that we were in good hands! It really changed the entire course of our stay to know that we would be well taken care of during an otherwise difficult, stressful time for my family. *The room was spotless upon entry & it smelled lovely. It was a 90 degree day, so opening that door to a cool a beautiful breeze from the AC was the cherry on top! *The pool was gorgeous and the patio was beautifully adorned with loungers and tables for watching the family swim and hearing the birds sing. *The property is very well maintained with flowers and trees, play areas for the kids, fire pit and a grill. *It's close enough to walk to all the shops & restaurants, but far enough off the busy road to not even hear any traffic. *I had wonderful conversations with the staff that contribute to keeping the hotel so nice (with smiles on their faces!) Owner objected to my service dogs and told me to "get the f*** off his property and called them police. He accused me of breaking the window screen that fell off by itself and to satisfy the police I had to pay an additional $30 for allegedly breaking the screen. I never stayed at a motel that had such an unbelievably rude and foul mouthed owner Mr. Patel. The police said that they are there several times a week with problems. I'm giving this place two stars because despite the renovation work the place is still bad. I booked this after reviewing poor reviews on other sites...so I own some of the responsibility. The check in was fine albeit a bit awkward as it's way out by the road in another building. The people hanging around outside was a bit different but it was okay - the construction debris on the driveway was good - proof of some renewal happening. But the smell of the hallways and my non smoking room was the worst. In the bathroom which is all tile and hard surfaces was an intense smell of cigarette - all I can imagine is that it comes through the ductwork. The bed was decent and room generally clean but the walls are thin and if I do this again....it will be in another establishment. read more

One star is too many. Booked a room here for my friend so he could visit us, the first room they gave us was absolutely disgusting. It was falling apart. It had a terrible smell, so we requested a new room which the establishment gave us. The second room was even worse (refer to photos to see some of the damage). The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and someone who hasn't showered in a month. Carpets were stained, and there was a company there removing bedbugs from the room next-door. I know this establishment works with DSS so some of the people staying there are bit shady. Some weird activity going on outside when we pulled up with some strange people. My buddy did not stay the night, establishment would not refund him the room so we are being refunded by the booking company. The front desk associate named Angel was very unhelpful and clueless to the condition of the units. Very nasty woman. 10/10 would not recommend this hotel for anybody, it's absolutely disgusting, and could potentially be a health risk. I will be reaching out to the department of health for an investigation into the cleanliness of their rooms. read more

My stay here was very amazing and comfortable.I really appreciate the management and staff here especially Vanessa & Angel. They were so helpful and pleasant. If you are looking for a comfortable bed ,warm shower and a pet friendly place that's affordable.This is it.Everyone here was nice and friendly.There are picnic tables and grassy areas for your pet,please bring poop bags there are no dispensers.Our efficiency was basically clean.Every thing in dire need of upgrades.The dresser and nightstands were broken and had visible signs of water damage.Ive actually gotten better furnishings at estate sales and rehabitat for humanity,salvation army stores.The bathroom was newer shower and good pressure but fluctuating temp.Did not have any cold water.Just warm to hot.Toilets are older and really low an issue for anyone with mobility ,The efficency stove was old and rusted did not use it.Microwave was new clean,workrd well,toaster old but worked ok.Small coffee maker and some coffee pods.I use a coffee press and bring my own coffee.Also No utensils or plates pans etc.Target had plates bowls,glasses for 50 cents each .They were cheaper than paperI bought those.They sell soda water and some snacks at front desk.For 1$ to 2$Had an issue with Tv, toilet paper garbage bags and they were right on it when I called.There is an indoor pool and an outside deck and a grill.We did not use but others enjoyed it.If they update to shabby sheik decor got rid of the Old holy drapes,and water damaged,older furniture,carpets,linoleum and up grade to tile,with area rugs it would be nicer,and easier to clean.Table and chairs were sturdy.Sofa was okay but I bring a sheet to keep off the dog hair even though my dog sleeps on the cooler floor or her bed.Theres an ice machine in hall and the fridge was fine to fit our foods.Location was really convenient to everything.Tons of stores or restaurants on the main highway.Being set back has advantages with no real road noise.,And if doors slam and you can hear the other rooms at times but I bring earplugs and sleep mask.If they up graded they could get 4 stars .But if you want a comfy bed,clean sheets ,shower ,that's dog friendly with friendly people and affordable, disregard the rest It's a decent place to stay. read more

I stayed at this location years ago and i have been trying to make time to give this place another try. I walked up to the front desk and i was greeted with a smile and the gentleman was very polite which of course is a plus. I not only got a good deal on a double size room for my family i was blown away by the new management here. after i got my room key i started making my way out back to the building and as i was walking down the hallway i noticed room staff cleaning and working on rooms with a smile and they also greeted me as i was walking by them to my room. I opened my room door and Ba-mm!!!! i got a nice clean and may i add Cold (Air Conditioned room!) :) and whenever i needed anything the staff was quick to tend to our needs as best as they could and i couldn't ask for more. Please disregard the old review posts from before March of this year because this location is under new management and they are making Great changes and i am more then confident that better things are to come! Did i mention the nice indoor pool? If your looking for a comfortable place to stay with your family and Yes your (pet) for a very good price then this place is it. Military and families needing a pet friendly hotel beware of this location!! Choose elsewhere. List of many complaints as follows; old looking rooms, uncomfortable hard spring mattresses, sketchy people just hanging around outside at night, false advertisement of prices and fees ie; states on all booking sites as well as in their office that pets are allowed with no pet fees or deposits stated on bill or anything you initial, but charged a 250.00 cleaning fee on the last night, claiming only certain rooms are pet friendly, but they were completely booked upon check in we were told and we were forced to stay in the bldg provided by mgmt. We specifically stated on our online reservation that we needed a pet friendly hotel. Management says I didn't specifically say I had a dog upon check in. I stated I shouldn't have to when I specified on my reservation that I needed a pet friendly hotel, that should automatically imply that I have a pet! The one sign that said no pets in the room with a 250.00 cleaning fee I found underneath the bed in the middle of the floor. The 1 door sign on one bldg only says no pets but a 150.00 fee with be charged, which both signs go against their pets allowed sign in their office and goes against the 250.00 fee sign I found under my bed, it also doesn't specify only in certain bldgs or rooms anywhere on your bill you initial or sign. THEN when trying to dispute and discuss, i was called a liar, screamed at for over 30min by management, they threatened to kick my 4yr old and 13 yr old who were asleep, my military officer mother and 2 disabled brothers out at almost midnight. I refused to have my family kicked out after paying almost 500 dollars for 1 night after they tacked on all the extra fees and 250.00 cleaning fee, after we had already stayed and paid 2 nights prior to that so stayed 4 days total. then because mgmnt was mad and didn't like being questioned, management states they are going to tack on additional 20.00 fee per day, just because they could and to basically stick it to my family for having dared question the false advertisement that they provide. Do not stay here. I don't care if it's 65.00 a night, you should never treat people in such a horrible manner or speak to people the way management spoke to me, when I did nothing wrong to deserve that except ask valid questions and dispute a charge trying to be rational about it. read more

I recommend staying as far away from this hole in the wall as possible. My partner, her friend and I stayed there recently. The first room we were given had a broken door handle, so at any point someone could walk right into our room. The tub filled up with dirty water when anyone showered. The AC unit turned on once and then didn't again for the rest of the stay. The room wreaked as well like an old, dirty dive bar. The second room we went into was even worse!!!!! The new room smelled like a musty attic on a hot day. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. There were stains on the ceiling and the furniture is very, very old. I don't think they've changed anything in any of their rooms since the '70s. We were kept up all night by our neighbors who were screaming about drug deals and we kept feeling like there were bugs crawling on us. The worst part about it is, it was actually bugs all over us!!!! The hotel is INFESTED with BED BUGS. We were covered head to toe in bites. My partner's bites started swelling so bad that she went to urgent care where they told her it was very likely that it was bed bug bites. When we realized what we were being bit by, we complained to the office. We were refunded our stay which was the LEAST they could do. We all spent the next 6 hours doing our laundry in scolding hot water and looking for a new hotel. We had to buy new clothes and shower multiple times. Then, today, we actually ended up in the hospital because my partner had an allergic reaction to the bites. Her hand, ankle and eye lid are all twice the size they should be. I've tried calling multiple times to speak with a manager about it and they literally don't call back at all. I've even left my name and phone number and was told someone would reach out yet still no calls. You have been warned. This is the dirtiest hotel I think we've ever seen. We're still nervous we're all going to have to throw our clothes, electronics and luggage away because we're not sure the bed bugs are officially gone. We also have to figure out how to fumigate our vehicles because we're not sure what was infested and what wasn't. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. read more
