I had two very poor experiences with Grey Ghost, specifically Steve. The first was purchasing a…read morebike from a fit with him that was much too small for me (sadly at the time I didn't know better). The second was when I went looking for upgrades to that same bike and was told that I wasn't fast enough or fit enough to be worthy of upgrades. In fact, they'd be wasted on me. Whether or not I'm "fast enough" should not determine whether I'm allowed to purchase upgrades for equipment I own and a sport I care about. The comment was dismissive and unprofessional. I reached out to Grey Ghost about my concerns and never received a response. If they had addressed the situation I wouldn't be so critical. Grey Ghost has a strong reputation locally for bike fits, based on my experiences I would question that reputation. These interactions left me feeling dismissed as a customer and doubtful of the quality of the fit I received and others are receiving as well. I regret the money I spent with them and would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to a fit or major purchase from Grey Ghost.

Terrible customer service and on top of that, the owner gave us broken bikes. We rented 2 bikes for…read morethe day which was $40 each. The owner didn't provide us with bike locks or baskets and did not specify when to return the bikes. We couldn't step foot into the shop, had to stand outside and couldn't choose which bike we wanted. My father who is a mountain biker noticed that the bike he gave me had broken gears and the front tire was flat. The owner then rode it around the parking lot, didn't say anything, and gave me a new bike. Then, after a short bike ride, my boyfriend noticed the same thing was wrong with his bike, not going into gear. The owner clearly doesn't check his bikes, care about safety, or his customers. When we told him about the issues with the bikes, all he said was "ok." We only rented them here because it was so close to where we were staying in Lake George, but if we were renting them longer, we would have opted for a different place and I highly recommend you do the same. Not only will your patronage be a hassle, but you will be ripped off or hurt from their terrible bikes.

I ordered my bike and my rack on July 1 and although I do understand that summertime is busy, I was told my E bike and rack should arrive within two weeks. It took three weeks for the delivery and it took another additional week for my bike to get assembled so that I could come pick it up, which was disappointing. Then another major disappointment, my bike rack arrived without all of the parts so I am unable to transport my bike using my bike rack. It is now been an additional four weeks while I'm waiting for this one part to come in and here it is September 4. Bottom line is is I'm not happy with customer service support! The bike rack should've been ordered with the correct parts and the staff did admit that they forgot to order the part that I needed so that I could secure my bike because it has fenders. I can understand forgetting once but now it's been an additional month with a bike rack that I cannot use because the bike cannot be properly secured. Then I was told that they would order it right away and send me the tracking number and have it shipped directly to my house and it's been over two weeks and I still haven't received the tracking number, so I don't know if the part has been ordered yet and it's on its way or not. Even stopping at the shop in personand asking did not net me any answers. Not impressed!

Very disappointed in how my board was waxed. I had a scratch on it and asked for the board to be…read morewaxed and for them to fill the scratch. They charged me $42 and didn't even fix it. There still was a piece hanging off of the scratch, it wasn't even properly waxed. When I received my board for pick up it barely even looked like it had any maintenance done to it. This place is a rip off, better off going somewhere else. They also got rid of military discounts, they had it last season in 2024 and this year they didn't. Rather have gotten my money back because now I have to take it to a better shop that'll actually wax and fill the scratch which I asked this shop to do and instead they just take your money and don't do what they said.

The building is charming, like an old ski chalet with a fireplace and a scenic view. The employees all seemed to be skiing experts. They got my bindings installed same day so I could hit the slopes tomorrow. My family and I will definitely be returning customers, and I recommend Alpine Sport Shop 100%.

This is a terrific motorcycle shop. I just learned about it. My Triumph had not been serviced in…read moreover 2 years so I dropped by and asked the owner to have a quick look at the bike to see if he thought it was okay for a 3-day trip. He spent 15 minutes or so with me and said he thought it was fine. He is very knowledgeable and it was really nice of him too stop work for a little bit and give me a bit of peace of mind aheae of my trip. I then made an appointment for an oil change, new tires and fork seals, and some brake work. Unlike many bike shops they make appointments, and will work on any bike of any age. Owner completed the work promptly and my bike rides as well as it ever has. I can't recommend this place enough.
