Went to the lunch buffet on a Saturday afternoon with some friends who participate in the humor contest The Invitational, unjustly banished from the Washington Post to Gene Weingarten's Substack. We got the buffet. There was a wide variety of food including biryani, tandoori chicken, and, interestingly enough, pasta. It was all good. The naan was good. The dessert dough balls in syrup were good. The staff was friendly. It is a small place but clean and nice-looking. You can reserve a table, I suggest you do so. Cold food, bad service, arrogant manager. Visited the restaurant buffet on Saturday , 12 September 2026 and was appalled at the attitude, rudeness and unprofessionalism of the so called manager who sometimes referred himself to be the owner . The rice and the chicken appetizer was dry , cold and looked unappetizing.The other dishes were warm . There was no heating flame for any of the dishes. He declined to heat up the cold food when requested, saying that it will be heated only after the tray becomes empty and each replenishment will take 30 minutes. Shocking! We observed that they heat up everything when they cater to a bigger crowd . We were 2 of the 5 people. It was gratifying when others thanked us for drawing his attention to the cold food . The buffet itself was below average with majority dishes allotted to chicken alone, without the customary tandoori chicken or vegetarian appetizers found in other restaurants. Just with addition of 3 dollars, we can enjoy a piping hot feast elsewhere with amiable staff . This manager is unfit, rude and has zero knowledge of customer service . He fails to listen or understand what we have been trying to tell him all along. It was in his interest to maintain the restaurant's good name which was excellent pre Covid.The website needs to be updated to the present time and situation. read more

Since my partner moved to VA, this has been the Indian Food restaurant we usually like to go, ticks all the boxes we are looking for: flavors, presentation, food portions, price point, vibe/ambiance, service and overall a great experience without having to drive further into D.C. which makes super convenient if you live in the area of West Springfield or Newington. The spot is in Kingstown plaza, which there is a ton of parking available and you get to check all the shops around! We usually order Their Samosa Chaat as our main appetizer, the tamarind chutney they use is sweeter than the rest I've tried. The major downside is that the dish used to be 2 samosas cut in half, and now it's just one samosa, which makes the dish so tiny it hurts Also I wish they would add a little bit more yogurt to the mix! I've had before their Yellow Lentil stew or Dal Tadka, it was pretty yummy and the ginger very punchy! I liked to hear that this can be vegan (I'm assuming they would use vegan butter instead of ghee). In my honest opinion it might have needed acidity factor like a green chutney, but having it alongside the Salmon Tikka Massala (which is tomato based curry) was a great choice, because the acidity and sweetness of this other curry balanced the overall dinner experience! As for the Salmon Tikka, I think it's a pretty solid curry dish and the salmon is cooked perfectly! Not fishy after taste or smell. I like their cheese naan, because they use some sort cottage cheese or farmers cheese. their naan usually is more crispy due to the time left baking, but I still bubbly and soft to enjoy on its own, because they use spices and ghee to season them! I'm intrigued how they make their Aloo Paratha! This spot is my favorite to sit down and enjoy Indian food brought to my table during cold nights, so I'll be frequenting here the upcoming winter months! read more

Always delicious food, accompanied by wonderful service. This place is without a doubt my favorite Indian restaurant. The food, ambiance, and service are always outstanding. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel comfortable and special. We started off with samosa chaat and crispy pakora brussel sprouts, which are absolutely delicious. I went with my favorite dish, Hara Bhara kabob. The flavors are wonderful with a smoky undertone and just a subtle hint of heat. My wife went with the goat korma, and (visiting) son the butter chicken. He doesn't get many chances for Indian food so this was a perfect reason to go here. We complimented our dishes with delicious garlic naan. read more

If you're looking for a go to Indian in the area definitely give Aditi a try. I got take out so I can't really comment on the inside but the host was friendly and brought my food out fast. The chicken tiki masala had a good rich flavor. I got medium heat which surprisingly was a little too hot for me. The naan was my favorite part of the meal. Perfectly cooked and had a fantastic garlic flavor. The samosa's were cooked perfectly as well. Definitely will be returning to dine in. read more

Though I am a bit trouble by the most the most recent inspection, the offerings here continue to be average. I would perhaps recommend the tandoori platter or the biryani. I think the less strong offerings are the appetizers, many of which seem to be either premade or at least not necessarily fresh. All in all, I more or less stand by my prior review. read more

Food was very meh. The baignan bharta (mashed eggplant) was like a watery soup consistency and far too sour. I've had many versions and this one was one of the worst. Their cheese naan was also a huge let down. The cheese inside wasn't even melted and the naan itself was thin and not at all nice like their standard naan looked. The chai tea was so watered down with hardly any milk flavor--I have made and purchased better. The highlight was the chicken tikka masala. Very creamy and tender chicken. Ended up at Aditi for Christmas dinner. I called ahead to make sure no reservation was needed, and they said to come right in. It was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. We ordered the garlic Naan, and the chicken and lamb biryanis. Both were absolutely delicious. I saw another table eating wings, and decided to order some to go - they were amazing! Easy Catering - great crowd pleaser! We have been eating here for some time now and have always had a pleasant experience . They are so accommodating to food and spice requests. My kids love their rice and butter chicken. The space is beautiful. Recently, we called the restaurant to see if they would be able to cater for a last-minute dinner party . They listened to exactly what we needed and provided us with trays of the entree chicken, vegetable, rice and sides that we wanted. Pricing is very fair and taste was great. I really appreciated the secure packaging which kept all the food, hot and ready as well as the help with loading items to our car. These are the details that really stick out in terms of their great service. All our guests enjoyed the food and asked about details on the restaurant. The portions were great and we made leftover lunchboxes for ourselves because the food can freeze really well. We definitely plan to order here again for future catering ! read more

There is a reason why this Indian restaurant has survived for 15 years at this point. The vindaloo is the spiciest item on their menu and our server double checked with me when I ordered it with the real Indian spice level. When I confirmed my choice, the kitchen delivered magnificently. My partner got a mild chicken korma and was equally pleased. While we arrived very early, the service is always excellent even if the dining room is crowded. We came to dine here from Springfield because we don't know of any Indian food even close to this quality any closer to home. 5 stars, highly recommended. read more

Came here for the lunch buffet with a friend and was happy with our experience here. The Food: The food here was delicious! Plenty of variety to choose from and they were all hot and fresh. I know some dishes have a higher spic level than other places, but Aditi had it right in the middle with a good balance between spice levels. The quality of the meat dishes were perfect, cooked really good for a buffet style of eating. Overall, a very good buffet. The Service: Service was great! The staff were very nice and friendly. They were very attentive with water refills and just picking up dirty plates to clear table room. And, the food kept coming out when certain dishes needed to be refilled. Plates were clean as well. The Atmosphere: Very nice restaurant to dine at. Plenty of seating and is clean inside. Since it is a buffet, the corner where the hot food is can form lines, so it can get a little tight. Boyfriend and I stopped in for a Sunday brunch. The restaurant feels really nice, and the unlimited buffet options set up is so great! Love the free naan brought to your table that's included as well. Highly recommend the goat curry, biryani, daal, and paneer masala. Honestly every curry they had was so good. Loved the thought they put into including the different chutneys and lemon pickles as well. And the desserts were tasty! Left feeling so stuffed but so satisfied. The servers were also amazing, they magically clear out your last plate when you go up to the buffet for another round. The host opened the door for us as we came in, sat us right away, waiter came right away, water came right away, food cooked promptly. Food was delicious, ordered butter chicken and malai kofta, garlic naan, rice, mango lassis. Waiter checked on us often. They were running a 10% discount for the anniversary of their opening! Free parking at the shopping center, park in front of the Home Goods. The restaurant is not visible from the street - look for the courtyard that is between the Home Goods and the movie theater/parking garage. We wanted to try a different Indian place than our usuals so we searched up and found Aditi out in Kingstowne. We placed an order on a Friday night for Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, two Garlic Naans, and a Samosa Chaat. Pickup time was about 30 minutes so it gave us time to get over there. Parking wasn't too bad for a Friday but also the lot is huge anyway. The restaurant was pretty packed but someone noticed us quickly and helped us find out order. We were in and out in under a minute. Both chicken dishes had some of the most tender chicken I've had at an Indian restaurant. Huge pieces of chicken thigh meat which we both loved. The naan were solid, no complaints and it was a great vessel for the sauces. The Samosa Chaat was also pretty good, topped well and the samosas were of a decent size. I'm glad we tried the place and they will definitely see us back there soon. read more

Incredible tasting food!!! We choose to spend NYE at Aditi and we were very happy indeed. We started with the leek and lentil soup. The way they bring and serve it to you, you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel restaurant! For mains, we had the mixed grill that comes with a mountain of protein! Shrimp, lamb, chicken. Spicy and flavorful. A small salad and dal to add to the meal. The basket of warm Nan bread and plenty of rice too. For desert, we shared the rice pudding. Really outstanding finish to a great meal. Our water glasses never were empty as service is very attentive to your needs. The manager/owner ? Came over to ask if everything is alright. It was THE BEST CHOICE for our New Year Eve 2023 going into the new year of 2024 to enjoy amazing food. They do a great buffet too for lunch I understand. Parking is close and free! This place is a hidden gem. Our 2nd time here. I found this on a whim as we needed a place for dinner before a movie our first time. The cinema is across the street!! First of all, Aditi, 5 stars just for re-opening your buffet! I adore Indian buffets and have been searching for years for one that survived COVID. Thank you!!! We tried to come for lunch on Mother's Day, but it was super crowded and it seemed you had to have a reservation or you'd never get a table. One week later, it was a much more reasonable crowd and we had no trouble getting a table. All the food was great, though my son and hubby particularly liked the chicken that was labeled "G5 Chicken." It was set off from the rest of the buffet and I think it may have been appetizer/salad course fare. The papadums were also good - super thin and crispy. The main curries were delightful - Butter chicken is always good, as are the veggie curries. My son (8 yrs old) gobbled up everything on his plate, including most of the naan. He really like the tandoori chicken. Prices were quite reasonable, given the selection of offerings. ($12 for kids, BTW.) We'll be back soon! read more

Great service and great food consistently. I have had a variety of menu items, but whatever I get must include the Aditi Mai Tai, which is one of my favorite cocktails to get anywhere. Although I enjoy everything I have had, the chili fish appetizer that is currently a special (indian hot), aloo gobi, and chicken tikka masala are my go tos for now with naan of course. I have yet to go in during the lunch buffet, but look forward to soon for lunch because you can never go wrong with an Indian lunch buffet. To me, Eastern Indian food is pretty standard goodness, just have to watch the heat and spices. This place is a nice restaurant located in a plaza and carries a romantic ambiance, although, a section was closed off due to the COVID-19 observance. Parking is down the plaza in the lot. There is no sidewalk to cross through the grass. I ordered Leek and Lentils soup which was VERY filling and I could have just had that as a meal. For my main meal, I chose chicken tandoori and friends ordered Fried Kale on rice appetizer, Salmon with rice , Baingan Bharta ( baked eggplant), Lamb Korma, and Taj Mahal Beer (so good!). Everything ordered was uniquely good! I really enjoyed the serving sizes, the quality of each dish and overall service. They recognize their regulars and do their best to accommodate during the tight quarters. There is a patio for diners now available. I recommend coming here for good eats. read more

I can see why they stay busy! We had a wonderful lunch here - supporting a local business that's been around for more than 20 years. Will definitely come back to eat outdoors or inside with friendly service and delicious food. We ordered: lamb bryani at medium heat (the yogurt sauce will help cool you down!); chicken tikka, garlic naan, and a refreshing ginger mint iced tea. They have brought back their buffet for Friday through Sunday only at $16 per person. They have a limited variety of food. No tikka masala which was surprising as that is usually a staple at indian buffets. The naan is not all you can eat either since they only brought us one serving. The veggie and goat curry was good. Tandoori chicken had a dry gamey flavor. Mango pudding dessert was not chilled but served at room temperature. 3.5/4 stars I'm usually not a tandoori fan but I liked the flavor this restaurant had. Plus, the green sauce that came with the platter was HEAVEN and the curry sauce was also scrumptious. Their butter chicken was good (the critic in me felt like it was missing something but my dinner companion loved it, so I think I'm being overly critical) and I'm looking forward to coming back to try their chicken Tikka Masala. While it wasn't bad, I've had better onion kulcha. Their regular naan was yummy and the rice was cooked to perfection. I'm a huge fan of Aditi. I used to go in at least once every couple of weeks before the pandemic. I was excited to get back in there recently. The food is always delish. This time I ordered the lamb roganjosh. Mildly (to some it might be more than mildly spicy) spicy dish that comes with a rich gravy served with rice. I love this dish because the meat is super tender and the gravy has amazing flavor. I like to mix it with their green mild sauce (not sure what it's called). I'd highly recommend this as an option if you're looking to try something other than the more traditional dishes. My go-to cocktail is the French Martini. Fruity drink that has a strong kick. 2 of these and it's a wrap. Lol. The service here is always great which makes the experience that much more awesome.
