Their lamb haneeth was yummy, as was the mint lemonade. The chicken samosa was ok and so was the fattoush salad. The star of the meal was the lamb haneeth with fall of the bone meat. Come for the authentic yemeni experience. This place is a local favorite!

The bread is to die for. Light and fluffy. The hummus is rich and smooth. The chicken is season very well.

Well lit dining area with Middle Eastern music softly playing in the background. It was my first time having Yemeni food. Our server was very patient and described some of his favorite dishes and the ones we were questioning. I got the Sautéed shrimp, very flavorful. I thought it was gonna be spicy, but it wasn't. I finished my meal with Shai' Adeni (Yemeni tea)- it was amazing and I'd honestly come back just for that! My sister had the Fahsa Salta (lamb stew). She liked the flavor and the big chunks of lamb in the dish. I don't like lamb, but the stew was good. There is a plate of dates on each table. They were soft and sweet.

I recommend their rice with lamb dishes; either Lamb Haneeth, Lamb Mandi, or Lamb Maqluba, all very good. The hummus with lamb is excellent too. What can I say, I like lamb!

Wow, just wow! This place is delicious. I very often have ethnic food and this place is definitely on my current top 10 favorites! Good job, keep up making great food! Pictures were our dinner for two on a Saturday night.

    Fasolia Kibda Sauted Shrimp -

This is the first time we and we came here for breakfast on a cold Saturday, not a lot of people. We ordered Fasolia(the one on top, scrambled eggs with white beans), Kibda(left, lamb liver), Sauted Shrimp (right). Both Kibda and Sauted Shrimp came in with sizzling plate, making them even more intriguing. Surprisingly, the kinda was not gamey as I expected at all(1st time having Yemeni dish but I do have eat variety of liver dishes before). The shrimp was also good, it was bouncy and fresh. Fasolia is also very nice -- it's flavorful but not heavy, but it has beans thus very filling and we pack it home. All 3 dishes came with freshly baked bread and the breads are AMAZING, puffy, crispy and baked to perfection. I can just keep eating it. Will definitely come back as there are so many items we have'nt tried!

AMAZING! That's how I would describe this place. Yemeni food is not only underrated but just amazing. It's full of flavor and marries middle eastern flavors with desi flavors. It's rich and delicious. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! That being said the food here is really really good! You have to try the fahsah which is pulled lamb meat served in a boiling cast iron bowl! The baba ghanough with chicken on top is chef's kiss! And the haneeth the meat falls off the bone onto a fragrant rice. It's just really good! The service is excellent! The wait staff is really nice and helpful. The ambiance is very chill and perfect for date night or out with friends! I highly recommend this place to try something different and unique!

Food was delicious. It was our first time trying Yemeni food. Our appetizers were the baba with bread. And we ordered lamb fahsa (which came in a piping hot stone bowl with bread) and lamb shank haneeth. Friendly servers as well. Nice ambiance- plenty of seating available. We will be back!

This was a refreshing change for me. I hadn't tried Yemeni food and thought this would be a good start. It's in a decent location with adequate parking, which always helps. Immediately upon going in we were greeted and seated. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. As to the environment, it is casual and relaxing. The menu looked great and there were several things I wanted to try so my wife and I ordered several things we could share. Everything we tried was delicious, which included lentil soup, fatoush salad with pita bread, chicken haneeth (so tender with wonderful flavor), and saltah, which was vegetarian but honestly my favorite dish. Wonderful.

First time having Yemen dishes. I was going for kabob but we were recommended for lamb, which is also their number one dish. Tasted good!

Marib is a great restaurant for delicious Yemeni cuisine. The inside is warm and colorful and you never have to worry about getting a seat. Service is usually great, though it's not rushed, so be patient. I've only had bad service once. The beef Fahsa is one of my favorite dishes. It's nourishing and comforting, perfect on a cold day. The bread is excellent. You can't go wrong with the lamb Mandi, a traditional lamb and rice dish that is quite good. And I love the crispy sambousas as an appetizer. I look forward to returning to Marib.

Fahsah Chicken - flavors were okay but overtly salty

Marib Restaurant is located in the commercial area where other businesses are with plenty of parking. I tried this restaurant on my friend's recommendation. It's a nice clean restaurant. Here is my rating for the food and the service. Service- 8/10. Everyone in the store is very nice but some individuals have hard time understanding the ask but no big deal. Food overall: 4/10 Appetizer: baba ganouch was good but didn't like Zahawiq with cheese. It's just a watery cream cheese version of salsa. Chicken Mandi: lack flavors Chicken Haneeth: looks and tastes exactly same as Chicken Mandi again lack flavors Chicken Fahsa: was okay as well with too much salt in it. Bread: was the only thing that we thought was 10/10 Drinks: lime mint, was okay as well nothing special Tea- it's just a Lipton tea bags.. nothing special. Special Shai- was good. Dessert: we ordered Kunafa, that doesn't look appealing at all.. like it was not freshly prepared but sitting on the counter. We returned that. There were some items like chicken tandoori and some of the coffee drinks that were out of stock. Overall not so great experience. The reason I'm giving two stars because that's how we felt but there is always room to improve you guys :)

Good start to the meal. The lamb kleftiko is the standout of the three. Slow-cooked until it falls apart easily, with the seasoning penetrating all the way through rather than sitting on the surface. It's a dish that rewards the time it takes to prepare -- nothing rushed about it. The kofte kebab holds its own too -- well-spiced, good char on the outside, moist inside, not dried out the way kofte can sometimes end up. Solid textural contrast against the kleftiko. Overall a strong meal across the board -- each dish distinct but all working within the same confident, well-executed style that Zaytinya is known for.

That made the experience feel even more special in hindsight. We walked in on a Monday night without reservations (clearly a theme for us!), not knowing they were needed. Thankfully, they were able to seat us in the bar area, which turned out to be a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner and a glass of wine. We ordered a mix to share: hummus, spanakopita, kofte kebab, and adana kebab. Everything was delicious, but the spanakopita really stood out. It was a bit unexpected--not layered like the traditional version, but more of a rolled presentation. Even so, the flavors were wonderful and elevated in a way that made it memorable. The only slight disappointment for me was the wine selection. The red wines leaned more dry than I typically prefer--I tend to go for something more fruit-forward--but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Dessert was the one miss. We were really hoping for baklava, which wasn't on the menu. Instead, we ordered the walnut delight. While it had all the right flavors, it didn't quite deliver the wow factor we were hoping for. That said, the food, atmosphere, and overall experience were still impressive. I was excited to learn that Zaytinya has locations beyond D.C., including closer to home in the Bay Area--so I'll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend, and maybe make a reservation!

I got there after 6pm. It was packed. It was my first there and had no idea what I was getting into. The menus doesnt explain much nor were prices mentioned. The young man very attentive and friendly. Ushered our dirty tables and brought us our drinks. I had minty lemonade which I recommend if your gonna eat a lot. Here's my gripe. Its very important to label food. None of the food trays or stations were labeled. I have several food allergies and I had no idea what was what. I had to ask what was this or that. One tray had rice and I saw something that had deep fried crispy something. I thought it was chicken... it was fish :( The hummus was good though. The baklava meh. The pita bread was good. Some rice tray had kabob type of meat but it was lukewarm. For the price I paid, its not worth it. Please label your trays. Im give this place another try with my husband after Ramadan. , I saw on the dessert menu they have Knafeh.. a delicious middle eastern dessert that I love. Can't wait to try that.

Ordered the roasted beet salad, salmon harra, a glass of Chateau St. Thomas Les Emirs, a chocolate turkish coffee cake, and a glass of Ayran. Roasted beet salad: Balanced between sweet and tart from the oranges, slight pepperiness from the arugula base, a crunch from beets and sunflower seeds and brine mess from the feta. Solid overall. Salmon harra: Flaky and tender, if a little overcooked as last time, though only slightly charred and not devoid of texture. Charred squash and tomato-pepper compote were nice savory accompaniments. Chateau St. Thomas Les Emirs: A full-bodied Bekaa Valley red blend, Rhône-inspired but not a GSM; more GSCS. Not my best pairing, but I prefer fuller reds, so that's on me; it's solid regardless. Chocolate Turkish Coffee Cake: A warm (albeit slightly small) chocolate-lava style cake accompanied by cold mocha ice cream and a room temperature marshmallow crême fondant with date-orange syrup. An eloquent dessert; appreciate the temperature variation as a sensory note. Ayran: Turkish savory yogurt drink to finish. Lightly salted and well creamy, with a refreshing level of tartness; no complains, a decent Ayran. The server was also much nicer this time, which warranted the adding of an additional star. Overall, there is certainly improvement, though still room for more.
