The guide service is located out of a bed and breakfast right in the town of Keene. They have tons of equipment including ropes, belay devices, and climbing shoes so if you don't have all the proper equipment for what you need to do they will provide it at no extra cost. We were given Chad as our guide who was awesome. Very knowledgeable and took all the proper precautions even though our climb of the Chapel Pond slab wasn't very difficult and wasn't very dangerous. Views on the top were amazing and we really enjoyed our climb. Will most likely be back in the winter to do some ice climbing.

Then, because of the lack of even trying to accommodate, I attempted to cancel but they refused a refund and said there would be an additional charge if I cancelled. It was obvious since this is a self-check in, self-serve motel that this is just an investment property as the owner and manager who are not onsite showed zero interest in making anything right, nor was there a willingness to be flexible- far from hospitable. Zero stars for customer service. I did keep my reservation but would not choose to stay here again. To be fair, the rooms were clean and nicely renovated, as well as the grounds, and self-serve area. That is the only positive experience but unfortunately, because of their horrible customer service, they lost repeat customers.

The second story new construction has doors that don't close properly, and be prepared for a lot of ants. It's a shame, we travel to the area 3 times a month (about 10 days) customer care means a lot to me. I can only imagine the other White Rainbow lodging is the same. If you remember the warm and friendly days of Keith's management, these days are gone.

Lakefront You can't beat the setting. The resort sits on 28 peaceful acres along the lake, with stunning views and direct access to the water. We stayed in the Saranac Suite, perched above the on-site Sunset Bistro (more on that later). With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and five beds, it was a perfect fit for our group of five. The suite includes a full kitchen with a Viking range -- which we mostly used for coffee, post-hike wine, and storing trail snacks. Despite being above the restaurant, the suite was incredibly quiet. We never heard a thing. Mornings and evenings were spent in Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, unwinding, laughing, and soaking in the view. Rented a boat from them for the day - second time in two years…read more When we got out in the boat, we discovered it had no auxiliary power- radio didn't work, horn didn't work, could not chage phone, etc. We texted the owner to let them know. He apologized and state he would give us back a $100. Never got the money back. Followed up a couple of times.
