Last night after some drinks a friend suggested we come to a strip club and I did not object. They don't have a liquor license which I can understand for a multitude of reasons. The cover was 25 bucks with tax $28. Came on a Friday night. They do have non alcoholic beer and pop. You have to buy a beverage is what we were told. Pops are $6, think the non alcoholic beer is $8. 2nd time ever at a strip club. The bouncers tell you can't touch the women and no pictures or videos. I do wonder what strip clubs were like when cell phone cameras were getting good and becoming ubiquitous. There is a stage and announcer and a pole. Some of the women are really talented on the pole, dancing on stage. While the stage performance is happening there are other women walking around trying to convince you to have dance. A dance in the back away from the stage that's still somewhat public is $20. The women try to pitch you on a dance in a private room which is more expensive. Varying skills. Some of the women are really proficient at making you feel special+ valued. Others not so much. Some sit on your lap to pitch themselves to you. There was one woman I don't recall her stage name but I think she was Puerto Rican we had a nice conversation and it didn't even feel like she was selling me anything it felt like we had a genuine conversation. She probably had the best stage performance as well. Few different races. Some of the women are more petite than others. I got 2 to 3 dances not in a private room but in the back. Lap dances were good. And some of the women put their bosom in your face which is nice. I was aware of the inherent power imbalance of being a guy in a patriarchal society it made me somewhat uneasy but I got more comfortable as the night went on. They have kitchen but wasn't eating in strip club. Throughout the night more guys showed up and there weren't as many women walking up to you to pitch themselves as the room filled up. Me and my favorite coworker wanted to do something spontaneous and fun last night so we decided to take our first visit to the strip club. Since we're at the weird age of 20, where you're on the verge of being legal but not really; we came to the Admiral Theatre since the age requirement was 18 and up. Of all the nights we decided to go we went the same night Stormi Daniels made an appearance. Her tickets were about $50 and no one was going to pay that so we had to wait until 1:30 a.m to enter. So for the actual experience, I paid $22 to get in because I'm a woman and My friend who is a man paid $28 (THE SEXISM!! Lol) so we went in and we got pretty close seats to the stage, the women would come onto the center stage, dance for two songs and make their way around smaller stages surrounding the club. So like a rotation! These girls were butt ass naked, so no alcoholic beverages. The girls were pretty diverse a lot of different ethnicities and sizes, however there was this one girl who was very petite and it made me super uncomfortable cause she was shaped like a twelve year old. The vibe however was a wave I couldn't ride. The music choice was not the best and the entire atmosphere was very creepy. All you could do was sit in a chair and watch, no one was dancing to the music, throwing singles at the girls, or nothing. No ballers were making it rain. Lol it did not meet my stereotypical expectations of a strip club, I'll have to go to a black one within the hood to experience a real LIT Strip club. And the old men that were hogging the front row seats were extremely perverted. Rubbing their thighs and shit, I was just like okayyy. I found myself yawning a couple of times, and getting bored. I started coming here since I turned 18. I'm now 30. Place has gone to shit. I've literally seen the place go to shit. First off, the DJ sucks, he plays the most wackiest songs. It sounds like the soundtrack of FIFA 16. Mind you the DJ has sucked since I started going. He plays the most random songs, picture the Nokia phone free ringtones that come with the phone. Not even actual artists. And if they do play real artists it's old music like (Britney Spears, 50 Cent) Next, the place claims to be fully nude. NO THE FUCK IT ISN'T. The only way to see them fully nude is by of paying $175+ for a few songs in the back. Again, I've been coming here for years!!! The chicks would walk around butt naked. You'd get a decent lap dance for $20. Don't come here, you will leave with blue balls & broke. Plus you can't do shit there, you can't text or anything. I understand for privacy reasons you can't record. But literally you can't even pull out your phone without them saying anything to you. Also, the dancers always try to upsell you, and make you feel bad for only wanting 1 song. Then they half ass it. The security treat me with a mutual respect, the manager was so kind to me, the performers are happy to treat me on a level that we both enjoy whether chill conversation or affection. There is no more full nudity on stage... Value is where this place has really plummeted as of late because of poor new management. 3 song VIP dances are now $100 (were $75), 30 min VIP dances are now $250 (were $225), and 1 hr VIP dances are $400 (were $300). On top of all this, there is no more full nudity on stage as of Nov. 17 and the $10 table dances are also no longer fully nude, topless only. Need to pay $20 for fully nude table dance which is still an air dance basically. When you couple this on top of the $25 admission + $3 tax + 'discrete' fee if you use credit card +$6 mandatory soft drink, the value is that much worse now. Admiral has been my go to strip club for the past few years but management is really bringing this club down. Combine the lack of full nudity on stage which used to justify the high $25 cover charge and the extremely significant hikes in VIP dance costs and I just don't see the point of going anymore. The girls are mostly nice and great to look at but when you take away and increase prices, I can't justify coming here any longer until they either bring back full nudity on stage or bring prices back down to something more reasonable. In the meantime, I will go elsewhere for better value. read more

A night at this strip club is almost guaranteed to be legend... Wait for it... Legend... Wait for it... Oh, hell, I can't ruin that joke with anything short of the truth... Average. Just what is legendaverage? Is that even a word? It is now. There is no better way to describe the Admiral Theater. A night there will produce stories as any club with nude dancers will. But are they going to be life shaping, high fiving tales of debauchery? Not at all. A trip here will probably end up being an average night out - but with boobs (which for some guys, not me unfortunately, is actually an average night). This is mostly because this club is totally nude and, therefore, there's no alcohol allowed. At $6, the sodas, coffees, red bulls and juices are not outragously priced but it's really easy to lose a buzz in this place and not end up getting crazy. Unless a sugar high gets you loopy. That is, if you're even old enough to have a buzz in the first place. When me and my two companions rolled up, we were instantly the oldest people in the club. It seemed to be filled with bachelor parties for 19 year olds. This is definitely a strip club with training wheels. Now I like non-threatening over seedy so I prefer a club like this but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. The ticket sellers and doormen here were, get this, actually friendly instead of acting like they'd rather break our necks than welcome us inside (as is the case with a lot of other clubs). That was a welcome change. Or maybe it was just because they thought we were harmless in comparison to the drunken 21 year olds (and at least we were compared to the future groom who was dragged up on stage and showed the entire club his unwaxen ass). I do have to give all the ladies working credit for perseverance if not "god-given" (though the lack of silicon here is refreshing) or dancing talent. If these are the kind of dancers that are working their way through college, I hope it's business school because they have a great future in sales. High pressure sales though. They all shake hands and introduce themselves land tell you a bit of their life story like they're applying for an office job. And the flow of them is non-stop. There's barely a moment to breathe inbetween requests to purchase a dance, a "drink," or something else. However, one or two of these solicitations might actually be worthwhile as there are girls there who give people $10 shoulder and neck massages. That might be worth going back for as none of us had the courage (or just funds) to actually get one this time. That is, the next time I'm up for a legend...average night at least! read more
