The kitchen is especially well equipped which I appreciated given the length of my stay. The owners and the property manager were gracious and responsive. As such, we all had a great time together of which this VRBO enhanced our experience. At the same time, there was sticker shock, as on top of the per night charge was a host fee, service fee, and sales tax. The add-ons came to about 50% of the per night rate. Once I got that out of the way, the house was handsome, well maintained, roomy, modern, immaculate, and comfortable and in a great highly walkable (to the Plaza) location. Gayle and I slept well in our room, with lots of storage, and featuring a strong hot shower. It was great for the 4 of us to get together in the common areas, including the living room and the outdoor patio with fire pit. In fact one night we sat out there for hours over pizza and beer and chatted the evening away. The Kitchen was well appointed, although the "coffee maker" mentioned in the listing was actually a Keurig coffee pod machine. A few opportunities for improvement: WIFI didn't really work as it dropped in and out frequently and when it was on, it was weak at best. Bob had planned to do some work during our time together and came up a bit short there. The rest of us just used cellular. I also wish there was a little more product available in the shower, of which we supplemented thanks to a nearby CVS. I'll give this experience 5 Stars (despite the nits) as it helped make our long Santa Fe Weekend convenient, safe, and special. Gayle and I will be coming back next year and we'll look Two Casitas over again, while keeping aware of the pricing components (including alternatives), location, and WiFi.

We…read morewere pleased with the sizeable refund we obtained after experiencing an ant infestation (repeatedly) and numerous other required repairs to this property. First, the staff at Casas de Santa Fe were very responsive to our complaints and attempts to exterminate the ant infestation. They delivered a portable AC for us, too. The complaint is specific to the property owners negligence on keeping this property up to the standards of Casas de Santa Fe. CASA VERANO PROPERTY OWNER: repair the broken handle on the microwave; make sure the windows are operable since you do not have AC in this home; replace the old and outdated appliances/coffee maker/stove; replace the uncomfortable mattresses and old linens; repair the inoperable shower door and get rid of the moldy tile. We will not stay at CASA VERANO, but we will use Casas de Santa Fe again and again.

In fact, if you need another to fill a bedroom inbox me and I'm there (lol, but seriously). This place is perfect. From the moment you arrive, it's impossible to not be transported to a place of peace, tranquility and joy. Multiple decks to see the stunning views. A pool, hot tub, and sauna. A yoga room!!! Great if you already have a practice and can use facilities on your own, but we also found it was very reasonable to just hire a teacher from Santa Fe to come up for a private lesson. Hiking right outside your door. Every bedroom (plus the cabin!) is set up perfectly to make you feel like a VERY ZEN queen/king. Watch the sunrise and the sunset over the mountains, while you swing on the front swings. Eat dinner under the stars or in the formal dining room. The choices are endless at Rass Mandal. The experience of this house unlocked possibilities, I'm not even kidding! It is a ways up the mountain road-- so not for people who really wan ot be in the center of twon. But we really had no trouble getting to town when we wanted to go out and explore. Mostly though you'll want to stay in, trust me! :) Also Richard is the nicest. There was wireless internet, satellite TV and plenty of space for my friend, my dog and I to roam around. We were the only ones there during our stay and my dog LOVED it! Plenty to sniff and explore. Anne, the owner is wonderful and sweet. She recommended great places for us to eat and helped us find our way around. They offer great pet services and we were allowed to leave our well-behaved dog in the room. The breakfasts were delicious, every morning there was coffee, tea, juice, granola with fresh fruit and yogurt. And if you wanted eggs and bacon made to order with scones! This is a little ways outside of Santa Fe but so worth the stay, much better than being in a city. The views from the Hacienda were gorgeous and we saw snow, clear skies, cloudy days, and starry nights (in the two days we were there in late March). It was gorgeous! Can't wait to go back!

Each room and main room had a fireplace which was a nice touch to add to the ambiance with the fall weather. The place decorates itself- the architecture is southwestern and unique. The views are gorgeous and the place is perfectly secluded, yet there is still access to the funky little town of Madrid close by. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our intimate family wedding. The team at the Hacienda made planning from a distance very easy for us and we were well taken care of. We are truly so happy with our choice to get married at Hacienda Dona Andrea :)
