I was one of Adores first clients when they opened their salon. They used to take their time and make sure my nails looked good before sending me on my way. I will say things have changed quite a bit since they have become more popular in the North Lamar area. The things they charge add on for like nail shaping if your nail is a little longer - should be apart of the service. I've never had another salon charge me for a basic square round or oval shape. What makes this worse is more than half the nail techs dont know how to shape! So you pay $5 for them to make ur nails crooked and not the shape you want.. to then go home and file them yourself. The last time i was there - i sat next to a woman who was complaining about her nail shape and actually was getting one fixed. She told the nail tech that she wasnt happy the last time she was there and all the nail tech said back was "you should have told the nail tech you didnt like them" and she proceeded to say she did but they didnt listen. This also goes to the fact that they dont really listen to what you want. I've done SNS and Solar Nails & in the past when I would do SNS, i would always ask for 3 layers because they would crack otherwise.. I told a nail tech this and he proceeded to only do 2.. and 2 days later I was back in the salon cause my nails were chipping/breaking! I will say there are a handful of nail techs I like - but even when I've made appts to see certain nail techs, they make me see someone else because they accepted a walk in.. I've now switched Salons and will no longer be going back! read more

I think I might've found my new go-to spot for nails. I did get tempted to go to their grand opening month because of their 30% off deal (which is such value)! But I genuinely had one of the most relaxing and serene experience at a salon ever. The moment I walked in, I was blown away by the open space. The decoration, the line ups of all the polish options, along with the general placements of mani/pedi stations were all so well thought out. Something that I am really particular about is how well ventilated the area is and for this salon - I cannot ask for more. I know the smell of polish and acrylic is just one of those trade offs you have to suck it up at most places so I really appreciated the attention to detail how the salon was structured. I got the Luxe Stone Pedicure done and my feet never felt so soft. This pedicure focused a lot on removing dead skin and rejuvenating your feet by increasing the overall blood flow from your calves to your toes. I'll be honest, I don't know if any of the stones or the scrubs really worked but I felt very nice during and after the pedicure so I'm sold! This was definitely worth it especially given the discount which is running all the way until end of December! Last and definitely not least, I think the staff here is top notch. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with such a cheerful welcome and they actually offered to walk me through the different service options and colors available. All the staff was also dressed up in their holiday fits and it was clear to see that they're enjoying the work that they do. And for all the 21+ ladies and gentlemen - they also have a complimentary bar ~~ Overall - love this place, love the staff, and I will definitely come back to try their manicures when my nail grows out :) read more

The receptionist came over she said someone will take care of you ... she didnt give me no time, no sorry nothing!!! I waited another hr!! .. my patient was top-tier!!!! I had to go to her after waiting so longgggg And still was treated like im paying them do give me what they wanted , NOT what i want! Mind blowing!!! Like is this for real Service! Person #2 then she comes out and say .. after the back and forward she doesnt do french shes not good with that! just designs!! So basically im going back & forward with someone who doesnt/ didnt do what i needed.. wasted time!!. Finally person # 3 came.. and work over person #1 & 2 work ..spoke on him seeing all the mistake!!! telling me that person 1/2 dont do certain kind of work...basically making excuses to the customer about what the employees does / doesnt do! as if i know who does what! If I could give zero stars I would. I've been to Adore Nail Lounge twice now. The first time was in May for a luxe stone pedicure and the woman (never even caught her name) who did my pedicure was anything but hospitable. She burned me with the stones and did a horrible paint job on my toes that chipped only 2 days later. And that right there should've been my sign to steer clear from here. Well clearly I didn't learn my lesson because last week I came in for a full gel-x set and a luxe stone pedicure. I'm new to Austin and I'm also a mom. I've done my own nails for years now and even switched to doing my own gel-x sets. But anyone who's a mom knows that sometimes we just need those days to pamper ourselves and to also give us a confidence boost. This day was one of those days and after the year I've had my confidence and mental health needed this day so bad. I went in for my appointment showed the nail tech what I wanted on the length and shape of gel-x extension I prefer. She gave me the okay. Everything was going fine even when she cut me twice. I can be pretty patient and understanding (hello I'm a mom) the entire time she was working on my nails she was silent until she attempted to do the design. She visibly became frustrated and started to speak to her colleague in an aggravated tone. At one point in English she exclaims under her breath "nail too small!" At that point I asked her to stop doing the design and just do a french tip. She goes silent again. However, you can tell she still has some resentment. She's grasping my fingers tightly, her work was sloppy, I had to point out areas she needed to clean up when she tried to have me cure my nails. She seemed frustrated when I asked for a second coat on the french tip because you could still see imperfections and areas that weren't fully coated the first time. Once finished with my set she also did my luxe stone pedicure which was honestly a better experience than last time but wasn't enjoyable because of what I had just went through with my full set. When finished I just paid and left. I left feeling horrible and honestly started to cry on my drive home. I wasn't going to say anything I was just going to accept my loss and never go here again and fix my nails myself since I know how. That was until only a day later one of the nails already lifted! I called the nail lounge and spoke to the manager who did honestly seem concerned and voiced his upset for her cutting me twice. He asked me to come in the next morning so he could see my nails. I went in and was greeted by the woman who did my nails. I didn't even get to speak to the manager. She had me sit down and asked why I was there and I started to explain everything that was wrong and that I was upset with her work. She walked away with no words and came back with the biggest attitude and says "so what do you want? A refund?" I don't know how to explain it but the tone in her voice and the way see annunciated "refund" made me feel as if I was cheap and just wanted a free set. In the end I accepted the refund and left because I just couldn't deal with this woman and her toxic energy anymore. After this review this will be the last time I give this nail lounge any of my time. Good luck to anyone who does give this salon a chance, I hope you have a better experience than me. *Edit is a response to the "manager's" response. Your nail tech did not work on my nails for 2.5 hours. My appointment was at 3pm and she didn't actually start working on my nails until 3:10-3:15pm she finished my nails around 4:40pm and I have time stamps to prove it. She worked on my nails for 1.5 hours. You say the manager looked at them but I never met the manager in person only spoke to him over the phone. The nail tech who did my nails is the only person I interacted with in person and gave me the refund. If this set is your "standard" of "good" work you need to reevaluate your standards. I regret not taking more pictures of this pathetic set of nails just to show what you consider up to "standard". read more

The location is big enough to get an appointment with a friend and the chairs are comfy. Unfortunately I still can't recommend this place if you have problematic feet. I went in a week ago and I'm now suffering. I was supposed to get a choice of oils but was never asked what I wanted. The tech did a bad job at removing calluses and now I have a hard line at the back of my feet that hurts more than you would think. All the pressure goes straight there. One of my big toes was trimmed too short and is now growing inward. I also paid for a design and knew exactly what I wanted but the nail tech just started painting without any consultation. I know I have tough feet. That's why I get pedicures. There are just too many options in town to go somewhere that isn't good. read more

I've had two wonderful experiences at this salon with Aria and Trey (not sure if this is the right spelling). I got my nails done here (dip) in late may and they stayed flawless for over six weeks. On Tuesday I got them done again and I ended up breaking one of the nails the night of (my fault, not the technician's) and they fixed it for free! Such a wonderful place. Clean, attractive, well lit and according to one of the nail techs, they have the most expensive pedicure chairs on the market. One of those four stars is because it's a beautiful salon. However, Austin has a lot of beautiful salons so I'm looking for more. Everything about this place is the same as all the other nail salons at the same price point. I'm still looking for my five star nail salon, but this is close to my house, so I'll keep coming back until I find something better. It's good enough for now. I've been coming to Adore Nail Lounge every three weeks for the last six months with my bff. I've left bleeding three of those times. Most recently, the nail tech was too aggressive with the Dremel and I'm still sore. I've left with nails as thin as a credit card and also nails that are chunky and thick. I've had massages and no massage on the exact same service. We've both had great results and not so great. I'd say it averages out to three stars if I'm rating technical skill. Customer service, also three stars. When I show them pictures of what I want, even ones off of this Yelp page, they frown, hem and haw, and say okay, they'll try. Even when the results are great, I feel like I'm inconveniencing them by asking for something too extra. I'd rather they just say no than act put out and do it anyway. I want to say, why post it if you don't want to do it? The problem is that when I lived in 78704, I found a great nail place that shut down when Alamo Drafthouse moved in. Before my sister's wedding I wanted something the nail tech had never done before, but she called another tech over to look at the photo and they collaborated on how to do it. They seemed excited to try to replicate the design. The salon wasn't high-end and the chairs weren't the best that money could buy, but I felt welcomed and the techs seemed to enjoy doing my nails. Over a decade later, I've never found a place like it, but I'll keep looking. I'm saving five stars for that place. Edit: changing this review from four stars to two stars. I just got another really thick set. That makes good set to bad set ratio 50/50. I pointed out that it was pretty thick and the nail tech told me that's just how it is with dip nails. This isn't my first time getting dip nails, honey. I know what it and isn't possible, and my expectations are reasonable. Sadly, I'm back on the hunt for a new nail salon. I called immediately after to schedule a new appt which they said it'll be free of charge due to the rushed service I experienced for my nails to come off in the first place. However, these guys were great! The pedicure (Luxe Stone) was very relaxing, and my toes have never looked better. We even got complimentary drinks during! Chardonnay and a leg massage? Can't even THINK of anything better. Pricing is incredibly fair. The last place I went to, I spent $70 including a tip for a really bad time. Here, you can get a pedicure starting at about $35!
