Second and just as important Brian gave excellent customer service as he was responsive without frustrstion to our mirrage of questions before and after installation, he was prompt and courteous and made us feel like he really had our vested interest at hand. They argued that there was a 3 days cancellation policy; this 3 months after my 3 year contract has ended. I have to yell for them to promise a refund for only 1 month. I am holding my breath. If this goes on, I will take them to court.

I could not accept that this was a "cost of doing business" and looked for a solution. I called about 10 security services providers, many did not even return my call. Surveillance Secure returned my call promptly and made an appointment to visit the site. Tony listened to what I told him and we walked the site together. We have a number of buildings that are separated from each other and from the areas we most wanted to see, namely the dumpsters, the entrance to the leasing office, the driveway and the parking lots. Tony recommended a wireless system that would place cameras where they could get a good view of what we wanted, provide easy transmission from the remote buildings to the main building where our recorder would be, and do so with far less labor and cost than trenching and running cable. Their technicians were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. System was installed quickly, IT programming was done and training was given to me and my staff. It was up and running in two days. Within 12 hours after installation we caught someone dumping illegally. Catching the illegal dumping saved me $500 in haul fees. The camera system installation cost was far less than my annual cost for bulk trash removal. I expect to save the money I spent on the surveillance system within a few months. It's a win win. My property does not have unsightly bulk trash sitting around my dumpster areas and I continue to save on bulk item removal fees. I couldn't be happier with it.

Upon purchasing our home, ASMD preyed on my wife's fears of not knowing the area yet and repeatedly contacted her to discuss a 'continuation' of service (framing it as a requirement for the home). The representative used lots of predatory and vague promises about maintaining her safety while really just trying to get her to sign a poorly worded contract. After settling into our home, we found that the neighborhood was safe and the need for an alarm system minimal. At no time over the past 6 months have we even activated the alarm, in large part because we have very attentive and supportive neighbors. My wife decided that it wasn't necessary to have an alarm service and called to cancel for any future months. At no point did the representative indicate any fees or penalties, just thanked her for the call and indicated that they were always available in the future. In less than a month, my wife received a bill in the mail as if she was paying in advance for 4 years of service (something she never agreed to over the phone nor in writing). Note that at no time throughout this process did I ever sign anything nor did this security company contact me, despite having my name and number. When my wife called the company representative back about the fraudulent bill, they gave no rationale nor explanation, just indicated that the bill was due in full by the next month. They offered to throw in a 'free' assessment of our smoke detectors, indicating that we didn't have them (we have 6). No negotiation, no willingness to meet partway, and no real explanation as to why they would charge someone for 4 years of an alarm service they weren't receiving. The fact that this company still has any customers at this point is shocking to me. If you are in the area and seek safety and security, or some peace of mind, avoid this company entirely. They will provide neither care nor concern for your well-being.
