We ended up choosing "Signal Lost" in the VR Escape Room. Sarah and Tre were extremely thorough and they did a fantastic job ensuring we had a positive experience. We had some small hiccups as beginner users and they stepped in at exactly the right times to keep us on track and make everything go smoothly. They achieved the perfect balance of being attentive to us without being intrusive to the experience. Before visiting Rations, we thought a VR experience may be a one-time activity, but our experience was so positive that we plan to return. Rations unequivocally deserves a 5 star rating.

We did the escape room at Rations Spaceport and had so much fun! Me and my friends all have January birthdays, which generally suck. The escape room was indoors, challenging, and engaging. We had a 13 year old with us who had a blast. It's family owned, and Sarah they build the physical rooms them selves (so creative and well done)....but oh yeah, they also have Virtual Reality escape rooms too (can't wait to try those). I am also excited to try the John Brown room. Would be a great place to take out of town guests. We're definitely going back!

I went with my niece and was genuinely surprised by how much fun we had! The games were interactive, challenging, and a total blast. We laughed a lot, got competitive, and I'm pretty sure people in the other rooms (or "boxes") could hear us having a great time. I'm really glad we gave it a try, and I'd definitely go back. If you have kids or are looking for a unique family outing, I'd say the passes are well worth it. One quick tip: Know exactly where you're going before you arrive. I didn't realize the location is on the outside of the mall, which wasn't a big issue for me, but it could be frustrating if you're tight on time. The confirmation emails do a solid job providing directions--if you're driving and parking. But if you're getting dropped off (like I was via Uber), the signage and location can be a little tricky to spot. A minor hiccup, but something to be aware of.

Their equipment is top notch. I as a 49 year old had a blast. Yesterday I took my son and 3 of his friends here for his birthday. They had such a great time doing cooperative play. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. Something that really blew my mind was how good their coffee was as well. I'm kind of a coffee snob as I have an amazing "superautomatic" espresso machine at home. The VR Cafe coffee is probably the best in the mall and quite reasonably priced. If your at the mall and need a good coffee, look for this place. You won't be disappointed. If you want to have some fun while you're at the mall, play a game or two here. This old man had a blast. The kids can't wait to go back (me too). Worth every Penny.

Without giving too much info away if you choose the deadwood valley theme you will have all type of things coming at you. It was a great shooting game. One thing that could be improved would be the customer service. Once we walked in we did not know what to do or where to go. We had to search around for someone to help us. Also, the staff wasn't great at explaining the instructions. Think he assumed that we knew what to do. However, it was a great experience. Definitely check it out if you are in Tyson's Corner.

You and 7 other friends are put in a large space, where you actually walk around the arena and shoot. Different themed games. There are sensors in the game that tells you when you get too close to someone else but I do question the accuracy. Cool part too is if you just watching, you can see what they're seeing as well as them wandering around the floor. they also provide stats of your game and it gets emailed. Lost a star because while we were playing, there was one worker who must've been talking on the phone or to someone else that we could hear on our game headset. Which distracted from the game. we don't want to hear your side convos. Also I think a different worker was legit yelling at us and called us dumb for not understanding where to go next. That's pretty rude when the arrow lines aren't obvious jn some points of the game. We were in a group of intermediate and beginner gamers. Dont have to yell at us. We also reserved this time about a month in advance, and one of the VRs was broken, so we had to break our group into two different sessions. Tip - bring socks with a sticky grip bottom!
