Walk in through the front door and it looks like a normal hole in the wall... that's because it is... The menu is up high on the wall in huge letters. Very classy. The menu is small. I didn't see anything special. We ordered a 12' inch pepperoni pizza. It came out about 20 minutes later. We sat ourselves in the very small dining area and looked around for a little while. There was dried food stuck to one of the forks. Mmm... appetizing. One of the guys came over with the soup of the day "On the house". It was Split Pea. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. My daughter, who usually loves split pea, wouldn't eat it. The pizza came, you can tell that it's all home made. However, "Well Made" and "Home Made" are different. Just make whatever you're doing crooked and HEY! It's home made. The sauce lacked flavor. The pepperoni was stacked so thick on the pizza that if you bit into a slice if fell completely apart. The crust was pretty good. Lighter than most. Again, nothing special. If you're in the Outlets or the casino and are hard pressed for a pizza, by all means. Love this restaurant, best antipasto salad ever, lots of meat and cheese. All of their dinners are wonderful and I have never had a bad meal. Pretty good. I admit that before we went I scoffed when I read another review that hailed the marinara sauce. I thought like, "Ok Guy. Who the what has ever been truly impressed with a MARINARA sauce?" Cause you know- I never have! No way. But I got that ravioli (half meat, half cheese) and that marinara sauce was killer! I'm a new person I guess. The pizza was good too. We got the 'Fit for a King' with onion, green pepper, black olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage [ALL OF THE MOST CLASSIC BEST PIZZA TOPPINGS TOGETHER/WHY IS THIS NOT A SET PIZZA EVERYWHERE?!]. They have really good pizza! I swear they are one of the best pizza places out there.... I go to the one in Vejas and it is amazing! It has a soda machine cups are cheap and it is a great place to get lunch at! This place is comparable to Fillipis . I had the soup and salad. The salad was fresh and crispy so it was great, and my soup was the cream of broccoli...it was yummy. Nothing bad to say here...this place is top notch! The owner worked for the famous Filippi's in San Diego for a million years. He opened his own Filippi's here but changed the name for legal reasons but everything is still perfection. Best Italian food in Alpine. read more

I came to eat at Adriano's today and was shocked at the unprofessionalism of the blonde worker at the register. She was rude when I ordered acted like she didn't want to be there and I was inconveniencing her with my business. Food was really good. Our waitress attending our table was friendly and attentive. Being in the hospitality industry I don't like to trash an establishment, but when you find prices of metal Brillo pads in your lasagna and the staff shrugs it off as if they did nothing wrong. I used to come here quite a bit but now the place went to crap my last two visits while the pizza is still good the service is horrible. Last time I was here we got a large pizza right after a few slices the pizza fell off the tray. It's a very good pizza, definitely one of the best in the area if you like a lot of gooey cheese. The restaurant is nice and cozy, the staff are nice, and portions are large. Their daily specials are very reasonably priced. I'm not sure why a recent reviewer rated it one star when in their review, everything except the dirty fork, which can happen anywhere, seemed positive or neutral, albeit framed in a negative light. Don't like a pile of pepperoni? Don't like lots of gooey cheese? Don't like a free bowl of soup, probably gotten because you complained about a fork? Go get a $5 pizza at Little Caesars. I think some of the service guys may have been high or something. They accidentally gave our to-go order to the people who ordered before us. The specials were cheap and sounded appealing but our lasagna was still cold inside and none of the cheese melted. The ravioli was nothing special. We did like the meatball though, we'll in comparison. But overall, it was just one of those days where we shamelessly threw away edible food so that we could save our bellies for another place that offered deliciousness. Staff was rude. Messed up our order twice. We got 1 pie. They gave it to the wrong table both times and we waited soooo long for a new one. Offered "garlic bread" for free, it tasted horrible and not even a little bit of garlic. I wouldn't have left a bad review if the workers were more apologetic. Instead they were rude and disrespectful. As a service industry worker I am super patient and understand mistakes are made. But it's about how then are then handled. Got the soup of the day that comes with the salad.($4.95) I had a runny nose so I enjoyed it clearing my sinuses. I was craving Italian food so I decided to give this place a try. Place has a divey, hole in the wall feel to it so I ordered the ravioli and Karl Strauss Red lager. I'm glad I did, the beer was served in a translucent plastic cup, and it helped wash down the taste of clearly frozen ravioli with jarred marina sauce that had been doctored up to appear home made. Seriously Ive had better ravioli from Fresh N Easy. They also gave me real silverware to eat my food off a large plastic plate. Overall a perfectly off putting experience. read more

My wife and I have lived in Alpine, CA, for 24 years and have dined at Adriano's since the restaurant first opened. Ownership has changed several times since then but the quality of the food has always been the same. Their pizzas, pastas, Antipasto salad, sandwiches, and soups, are are the best east of downtown San Diego. Some diners complain about the styrofoam and plastic service ware. Well one sure thing is that their food did not come out of a microwave like it does in many Italian restaurants who use fancier tableware and have more elaborate decors. Years ago my occupation required me to be on the road for days at a time and during that time I learned to choose places to dine not by the eye candy they provided but by how local license plates were in the parking lot and how many butts were in the seats. Right on arrival we noticed seating is very limited indoors and with a few large groups it didn't leave much room for groups of two or three. We order what we thought was a margarita pizza with a few add ons. We watched on as other people who came after us received their order. I approached the counter telling them it had been over 30 mins waiting on one pizza and that there have been people who came after us getting their food. They said it would be an addition five min wait. Five mins came and went and I approached the counter again and asked for a refund but they told me it would be an addition two mins. So finally two mins later the pizza arrived to the table. I wish I would have just taken the refund I asked for. It was by far the worst pizza we have ever had. The pizza didn't even have sauce but the menu does not reflect this. So we literally had cheese bead. To say I was dissatisfied is an under statement. read more
