Went here with the family, Id never been here. We were welcomed when we arrived and told to sit where we liked. We chose our table and were given menus. We all decided what to order. The waitress was really nice got us our beverages and took our order. The pizza came out in great timing. The toppings are on the bottom and cheeses are on top. Very authentic, and full of flavor. We all really enjoyed the food, its got good seating and its clean and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place. Prices are fair for what you recieve and parking in the back. They offer a punch card so thats nice.

This is a true neighborhood gem with amazing food! As you walk up, you can smell the roasting garlic and fresh bread. Inside is casual, lots of tables for any size party. We were greeted right away with menus and water, and ordered a carafe of Chianti while we looked over the menu. We decided on stuffed shells with spinach and penne with meat sauce and meatballs. Their red sauce is excellent and really makes the dishes shine. The stuffed shells were loaded with spinach and ricotta, topped with more sauce and a perfectly browned layer of cheese. Absolutely delicious. The meatballs were tender, flavorful, and of course tasted great with that sauce. The meal also came with a basket of their fresh bread, crusty on the outside and fluffy inside. We haven't tried the pizza yet, but judging from the aroma, it must be fantastic. If you are in the neighborhood, be sure to check this place out. I highly recommend it.

Went here on a Friday night and was surprised to see how busy it was. There were a mix of crowds ordering their food to go and most tables were occupied. My husband and I are glad to see customers supporting Gaetanos. Been here several times before and this establishment definitely deserves a review. Menu has a wide selection of Italian dishes from pizza, antipasti, cacciatore, calzones, and many more. They also serve cold delicious beers on tap and a wine selection is also available. We decided to order chicken cacciatore which comes with a side of pasta and our favorite, gnocchi alla giuseppe. They also bring bring hot bread to your table. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The interior of the restaurant is clean, casual and relaxing. Plenty of parking available and it's never been an issue in all the times we have been here. Support this joint if you happen to be in the area. It's worth a try especially gnocchi alla giuseppe. It is so delicious!

I have been eating this pizza for over 30 years. The ambiance inside is authentic. The smell when you walk in is memorable filled with cooking dough, and cheese. It is our families favorite pizza hands down. The AntiPasti is always on point. The pizza has been a 10 out of 10 as long as I can remember. The service is very friendly, and eventually they recognise your voice. Gaetanos is Family owned by the nicest family. When you are thinking Pizza in Spring Valley it's Gaetanos.

Delicious lasagna, Mediterranean salad, mussels. We shared and ate it all

Excellent service. Wednesday night special LASAGNA was perfect. Lots of cheese. Some pieces of cheese were cooked hard I liked it like that - chewy. We also enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and steamed mussels. Shared it family style. We ate all our food! Friendly service from everyone. Plenty of parking as we arrived at 8:15 pm

Update 2/2024 IT'S PIZZA, NOT A PIE Before I get into this beautiful review about the pizza, I am still very peeved that there are no complimentary drink refills. This is straight up bogus as a consumer because it ain't cheap to eat here. And there's no complimentary bread and butter while you wait for your meal. ...Woosah.... Despite that, I'll still patronize this business. The food is flavorful, plentiful, and I always leave satisfied and satiated. The varied pasta selections and different sauces is more than what one's palette can take. You would need several visits over a long period of time and you will enjoy every single one, unless you're thirsty, lol. This time around...I ordered pizza. Some people eat pizza every single day, I eat it about once every few months and when I do I come here. I ordered the Gaetano's Special. I want my pizza to have toppings, flavor and a crisp crust. I like when the cheese and toppings dance together for a full party in my mouth. Gaetano's consistently meets the expectation. Honestly, I don't even think about going to another pizza spot because when you're craving, get what you crave and depend on, instead of getting something else. For those language specific this is a pizza, not a pie. "Pizza is like the entire food pyramid in one bite." - Unknown #juken123 #gaetanospizza #wewantrefills

    Pizza with mushrooms on top.
    Bruce K.

I ordered a medium pizza, on one.side it was mushrooms (under the cheese), and fresh basil and ricotta cheese on top, the other side was pepperoni and sausage. I was told everything is under the cheese, but when I got it home I found that the mushrooms were on top and very large. My wife tried it even though she said it was not correct and said it was tasteless and soggy. I called the restaurant and after the person spoke to what I assumed was the person who made it I was told it was correct and I said it was not and again was told it was. I will never visit this place again. And this is the 2nd bad review, so shame on me for giving them another try.

We've been dining here for a couple of decades. Our favorite pizza and the whole crew working here are top notch people. Very friendly and welcoming. Makes you feel like family

Service was amazing…read more We got seated immediately and there was soft jazz which I loved, very calm and welcoming. My friend got the meatloaf I of course had to steal some and it was flavorful and just the right amount of dense without feeling heavy and the other sides paired so well and the seasoning was even through out the dish I got the pasta and I would say we came around 4 pm so this was perfect for after my workout. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the chicken was juicy and well integrated with the pasta sauce didn't feel like the sauce was just sitting on top. The pesto sauce was amazing, definitely tastes homemade and cooked with love. Also the brown butter cake ????? worth every calorie is all I'll say. Will be back !

The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, but more customers began coming in shortly afterward. They have a spacious, garden-style patio that can accommodate larger groups, but we chose to dine indoors in their nicely decorated, modern dining area. For our meals, we ordered the Grilled Shrimp, Beef Bourguignon, Meat Loaf Sandwich, and Classic Burger. Every dish was a solid choice, and I would definitely order any of them again the next time we visit. Normally, we skip dessert when dining out, but our waiter did an excellent job describing the dessert options and convinced us to give them a try. We ordered the Chocolate Molten Cake, which is similar to a chocolate lava cake, as well as the Brown Butter Cake. The Brown Butter Cake was incredibly moist with a rich, buttery flavor and a lightly crisp exterior. Both desserts were excellent, and I'd highly recommend them. Before we left, our waiter mentioned that, as part of the restaurant's anniversary celebration, they're offering 20% off every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday through the end of August. That gives us even more incentive to come back and dine with them again. Overall, Lemon Grove Bistro was an excellent choice, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a great place to eat in the Lemon Grove area.

Ah, Lido's. The name evokes visions of candlelit dinners, flowing Chianti, and the soothing strains…read moreof Italian music in the background. What do you actually get? A gastro-adventure straight to the snack aisle of your nearest convenience store. Let's start with the hors d'oeuvres, or as Lido's likes to call it, "a chef's journey into the heart of the '90s lunchroom." Picture this: a plastic ramekin filled with precisely seven Cheez-It crackers (yes, I counted) and a square of Lunchables cheddar. No garnish. No flair. Just the unapologetic crunch of nostalgia and the slightly sweaty texture of processed cheese. Très magnifique! The waiter presented it with such flourish you'd think he'd just handed us the Mona Lisa of appetizers. "Our finest pairing," he said, without a hint of irony. I half expected him to pull out a Capri Sun and pierce it for us tableside. I politely asked if this was a joke. His response? "That's how we keep it casual here." Casual? Sir, this isn't casual; this is culinary gaslighting. The rest of the meal wasn't even worth salvaging. The breadsticks were cold, the pasta was overcooked and drowning in bland marinara, and the tiramisu was a soggy mess that tasted like someone spilled coffee on a sponge. But honestly, after the snack attack that was the starter, everything else just felt like a backdrop. The only redeeming part of the evening was the exit, where I got to share a knowing, pity-filled glance with another couple clearly wondering if they'd accidentally wandered into the wrong restaurant. In summary, if you're looking for a unique dining experience that will have you laughing, crying, and questioning your life choices all at once, Lido's is your spot. Just be sure to BYOP--Bring Your Own Pepperoni. Apparently, that costs extra. Lido's isn't Italian--it's an insult.
