Literally every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and seeing the cheese stretching with every bite made each one that much better. The aromas wafting from the Sicilian Macaroni & Cheese when placed in front of us made me close my eyes and take several deep breaths just to take it in. The freshness of the sauce and house/hand-made raviolis were just ridiculously delicious and the lasagna made my eyes roll back. The customer service and family feel of the restaurant only added to the nostalgia of grandma's kitchen. Okey Dokey guys, So I made this yelp account just so I can write a review for this place because it was truly out of this world. So firstly, for new timers reading these reviews wondering if you should eat here, uhhh YES! and you need a V8 to your forehead if you think otherwise. so I walked in, and was immediately IN LOVE with the layout of this place. Such cute chairs, and sparkly glitter floor, stained glass, and kick ass sky line done in chalk on the wall. The inside of this place is truly unique and cool! It is a cute place, very comfy. The service here is AHHMAZING, the people who work here are all very nice and funny, and they helped me order by suggesting the deep dish pizza (if you havent tried it I suggest you do so much cheese yaaassss), I also ordered a thin crust pizza HOUSE(Onion, sausage, garlic, and pepperoni) too so I can try them both, and man oh man, yummy yummy yummy.By the way whoever came up with the specialty pizza names...very clever, they are all chicago streets; I thought that that was genius. I literally wanted to regurgitate my pizza up so I can eat it again, I ate it too fast because it was too good but every second was heaven, I wanted to cry when it was gone. when I die, I want to be transported to a heaven that has chicago pizza company, and I will live there and eat pizza everyday, or I will be disappointed. It isn't often I leave a review for any business... unless it's really good or really bad. The main reason is if I visit a "average" place and give it an average rating, it really doesn't mean anything to me so I usually don't rate things that really don't matter. However, this place "Chicago Pizza Company" does deserve a rating... Five star to be exact. There isn't much I have found really "wrong" with their Pizza and I've been coming here off and on since they first opened. This tells me they're staying true to their original concept and are consistent in their execution. Some people may say they're "to expensive for what you get" or "I've had better in 'Chicago'" or even "you people have no idea what 'real' Chicago deep dish pizza really is". Well for those nay sayers I say "for this town and at this time I can find no better... period. Fresh ingredients, great flavor and most important to me, a great after taste and "feel". On top of all that, their pizza does seem to "travel well" (those who take-out know what I mean). There comes a time in everyone's life when quality, no matter the price, is what counts. It took me awhile, but I finally got around to trying their deep dish pizza. I've never been to Chicago so I can't say anything about "the way REAL Chicago deep dish" should be, but I always review based on what tastes good to me. I prefer deep dish pizza over any other style of pizza & I'm a fan of Lefty's & Unos (until they went out of business). So I give CPC a call & order a deep dish pizza. They tell me it'll take about 50 minutes based on how busy they are at that time & that they would call me about 15 minutes before my pizza would be ready, which would be great because I am about 15 minutes away. Now I like that concept as long as they stay true to their word ... about 40 minutes after I put the phone order in they call me to say my pizza would be ready in about 15 minutes ... SWEET! Now I hope it is a decent tasting pizza. Got their in a little over 15 minutes & my pizza was hot & ready to take with me. 15 minutes later I was biting into a deep dish pizza that said I had found a new place to get my pizzas from. Good stuff! The pizza was 4 stars ... Italian beef sandwich 2 stars. read more

I wish I could give this place less than one star...we have been big fans of this place the food is awesome. The last three times they have got the orders wrong and the owner has given attitude and has appeared to be on drugs. This last time he called us 10 mins prior to us picking up our order and canceled ..stating he only had vegan dough...and did not offer any other options!! And then hung up...when we called back from the parking as we were already there ...to see if we could order something else since we were there and like the joint...he said we are black listed and threatened the cops on my girlfriend! Who does this!! Multiple times we have been in contact with the manager ..picking orders and he has appeared to be on cocaine...this place has gone hill big time ...sad. That's what you get with a north sider trying to act tough in Cali. Let's be honest, Santee is awash with mediocre pizza. There isn't one pizza place even close to the likes of good midwest / Chicago style pizza. That said I've eaten here at Chicago Pizza Company twice in the last week and both pizzas were pretty good, easily better than any other Santee pizza establishment that I've tried and I think I've eaten at most of them. The first pie was the Halsted, it came with sausage, pepperoni, meatballs and bacom. Dang it was GOOD! My next visit I had the the Rush (street not radio dude) it came with sausage, bacon, onion and bbq sauce. Great place. I'm normally pretty... Reserved, about the idea of hot dogs and such. But I'm going to be frank here (heh heh), this place has some of the best hot dogs you'll find in all of San Diego. They've got an impressive variety, and the portions are HUGE! You will not go hungry. The owner\manager is really friendly, and seems to be there personally most days. Stranded at Gillespie Field for hours waiting to transport a flight of dogs from Hurricane Harvey and starving, we ordered pizzas from Chicago Pizza Co. We were sort of expecting the same old thing, but were SO pleasantly surprised by these pies. Amazing pizza! I can't say enough about this place! Just a heads up, you have to order when you are not starving, because they make each pizza fresh and if you are getting the deep dish one it takes about 45 minutes. But it is SO worth it! I typically get a medium for a family of 4 because we also get sides. We usually have leftovers. There was no knock on my door, no doorbell rung, no text message, notification or anything to notify me when food was delivered. When I finally found the food it was ice cold. Not lukewarm, it was cold. I notified the pizza shop, the person who claimed they were the manager/ owner was rude, he didn't care and told me to take it up with slice. I filed a complaint with slice, they didn't care either. This is totally bizarre and shady business practice. I would AVOID this place at all costs.

I've never tried the calzone so I order #1 calzone with all the cheese. I think it has ricotta and mozzarella. Do you see the size of sauce they gave us? I love my clazone saucy and cheesy and this gives me BOTH!! OMG!! I thought my daughter and I can save some for later, but sadly it was all gone. The marinara sauce is sooo good pair with cheesy calzone equals to a perfect girl dinner!! The place is small but smells so good!! You can tell that they are constantly making pizza.. I think we've been a customer for 10 years? I think. We got hooked on the pizza... and now the calzone. It's so worth it!! $15 and some change and it feeds 3 people. Yes, sadly I shared with the daughter and the bf (who bought McDonald's). But who can resist D'Amatos Pizza? They are that good!!

I ordered through the Slice app. One 16" Meat Lovers: Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, beef. One 14" Hawaiian BBQ: BBQ sauce, Canadian bacon, pineapple, bacon. I ordered right around 6:00, the ETA was 6:28. The delivery person was handing my pizzas to me at exactly 6:28. No joke! Both pizzas were really good. Better than expected even. The Meat Lovers was absolutely loaded with toppings. The cheese and sauce were both great. The Hawaiian BBQ was great too! I love the sweet/savory of the pineapple vs. Canadian bacon. The chopped bacon was a great addition. The BBQ sauce was tangy and not too sweet. We loved that the crust was a bit well done. Perfectly well done actually. Also, a plus, they were both double cut resulting in more slices that are easier to eat. After tax, tip and service, the bill was just shy of $50. Yes, I love pineapple on pizza.
