Even though I give this place 2 stars, I think most kids and teens would be happy eating here with their friends. We got the trio combo with spaghetti, ravioli, and lasagna. The spaghetti pasta itself was of low quality and the ravioli meat filling was just awful. Both were drenched in poorly seasoned marinara. I like extra sauce, so when I say drenched, trust and believe it was soupy in my to-go container. The lasagna was actually good, but it needed more seasoning. Still, I'd get that again. The white pizza sauce wasn't garlicky enough. We also got a cheese and mushroom pizza. The dough was thick enough that it didn't cook all the way through the middle and it tasted pretty bland (same day dough?). The cheese didn't fully cover the pizza to the crust. I'd stop by again on my way out of San Diego as opposed to fast food, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to visit. This used to be a Filippi's Pizza Grotto but has since changed to Adriano's. Food is exactly the same as it was when I used to go here 8 or so years ago. It's our quick spot to refuel after going to town at the Nike Clearance Store, my all-time favorite store on the planet. We like the half and half specials: usually will do half lasagna and half ravioli and it's substantial enough for the co-habby and I to split. It comes with yummy extra sour sourdough bread which I like to dip into their meaty rich sauce. Decor is simple, service good and the offer soups of the day. We tried this on 4th of July because our regular place was closed. I ordered the large pepperoni and mushroom pizza with their thick crust. What I got was a paper thin, burnt piece of crap. There were burnt pieces of food stuck to the bottom like the pan or grate was very dirty from prior cooking. We both were only able to stomach one piece and threw the rest out. The pizza here is WONDERFUL. The ingredients are fresh and they use authentic pizza sauce. However after seeing someone order their salad I became slightly jealous. The salad looked just as good as the pizza. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because there was a white woman (who I believe was a manager) that was very unprofessional. She called all the staff to the register to complain about a particular person that didn't flips all the bills in the register one direction which seemed to aggravate whomever who handles the money. Makes me sad to write this review as Adriano's used to be, without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite pizza joint. However, seeing the quality of my food this past visit, they've convinced me to make sure it was my last visit. Went in 2-3 hours before closing on a January weeknight. Ordered a large mushroom and pepperoni pizza, an antipasto salad, garlic bread, and a torpedo sandwich. Have never had a problem paying a bit more here as the food has always been top notch. So I pay $50 for the meal and return about 15-20 minutes later for pickup. As my wife and I start our meal, my first bite into a slice of pizza is filled with what I can only describe as pieces of gravel. I've worked food service before. Whether it was the overworked night crew or a lazy opening crew, they didn't clean out the oven before cooking and left pieces of ceramic, metal, and/or rocks in my pizza. Had I not been careful I could've broken teeth. Whatever, I ate around those parts. Pizza was still only meh where there weren't rocks. Next we try our salad. It is swimming in an inch of murky water in the bottom of the dish it's in. All the meats at the bottom fully submerged. Never had a worse salad in my life. Only the torpedo and bread were decent, but those are nearly impossible to mess up. You'd think in the middle of a pandemic where restaurants are closing down left and right, some of the last remaining places would try a little bit harder to get the business that does brave the public/crowds to come buy your food. Goodbye Adriano's, you had a good run. With pizza and salad like that though, it's probably time to close up shop like the rest of the stores in the outlet center. If you're still looking for good pizza in the area try Pine Valley Store Pizza, Donatos, and Bongiovannis all still much better options. read more

Went to Viejas as the Indian reservations have indoor dining even while the rest of the businesses in the state are forced to have customers dine outside. Ordered my pizza and was told I'd have to wait outside.I asked if they would hold me the next available table they said no they don't hold tables. So I then said how am I supposed to know when. My food is ready ? The girl just shrugged her shoulders. Waited outside saw a table open up went to grab the table told my son to grab an extra chair when he got a chair we had one of the workers yell saying that we could only have 4 people per table. Yet in the middle of the restaurant there was a table with 8 people setting at it, I pointed this fact out and they just looked at us stupidly and said it was covid protocol. I understand covid and protocols however if your not going to inforce the rules laws whatever fairly then why do it at all. Keep in mind I've been there many times this last year for bowling,skating and arcade for my children. as normal, regular businesses are not allowed to open under state laws yet Indian reservations are allowed a separate set of rules.
