He talked me through what might be wrong and I had my car towed to his shop. It ended up being a fairly simple job of replacing ignition coils, sparkplugs, and the valve cover. He also adapted a hose piece himself that saved me $200. He explained everything to me, sent me pictures, and was affordable. He even had my car dropped off since I live close to the shop. The lot is so full that they often park cars across the street! Then you meet Greg.. Greg, the owner, is one of the nicest guys ever. He has remembered my name ever since I first went to him to have my check engine light scanned. He will tell you what is wrong and with a "no problem" you will have your car fix and fixed right. His sons also work at the garage and I love the fact that it is a family run local business. We have a mini van that travels to Boston and central Florida yearly and has racked up quite a few miles. Even though it runs great it has had a few things in need of repair. Every time we bring it in Greg meets us with a smile and has the car fixed right the first time. Because they are so good they are very busy, so make sure you have an appointment or it may take a few days to get your car back. Import Connection is also fair. We have never had to fight with them or left unsatisfied. They have always beaten other quotes and I never feel like I have been taken advantage of. A huge plus!! BUYER BEWARE!!! We…read morepurchased a new 2026 Mazda CX-50 for our daughter in May 2026. The entertainment system did not work properly and we were not able to drive the car much due to the lengthy periods of time the car spent in service. After 4 visits to the service departments at the Mazda dealerships in Wilmington and Asheville failed to fix the system, Fields Mazda - to its credit - swapped the vehicle for a nearly identical CX-50 in late July. As of Friday, September 4, 2026, the second new car had 175 miles on it. We drove the vehicle to Wilmington that day for the holiday weekend, adding 325 miles to the odometer. I stopped at a grocery store and was not able to start the car after I was done shopping. I was able to start the vehicle the next morning, but when I drove away, the car stalled in the middle of an intersection on a busy street in Wilmington. Several kind people helped me get the car in neutral and pushed it out of the intersection. I then had the car towed to the Mazda dealership in Wilmington. I had to rent a car to return to Asheville. The Mazda dealership in Wilmington informed me on September 11, 2026 that the fuel pump driver control module in the (second new) car has to be replaced. The part is on back order and won't arrive until September 21 at the earliest, so we will, once again, be without a vehicle for several weeks. And I will have to return to Wilmington to pick up the car. Based on our experience, we have concluded that the Mazda CX-50 is not a reliable vehicle and it is not the type of car that we want our daughter or anyone else in our family to drive. I went to Fields Mazda today, September 12, 2026, to discuss the situation with the GM. I was hoping that he would agree to buy the car back from me, which he refused to do. He also assured me that Fields Auto Group would not agree to buy the car back from me and that the car would have to be deemed a lemon before that might be considered. In sum, his response was: I took care of you the first time, but the car is under warranty and this time it's your problem. Needless to say, I was disappointed with the outcome of our dialogue. We'll see how Fields corporate decides to handle the situation. We won't buy another Mazda. Our daughter will not be driving the CX-50 that we currently own. We won't buy another car from Fields Mazda. I give it one star only because zero stars isn't an option. Whether we buy another vehicle from Fields Auto Group (or have our vehicles serviced by Fields) depends on whether it does the right thing. We shall see.
