The hitch and bumper were smashed, and this meant we could not tow our camper back home to Phoenix. With less than a week to leave for home, our insurance company and a (unnamed) national body shop was less than worthless. So we looked around for a local body shop, and found Cran Auto Body. Mark came through quickly with a very reasonable estimate, was incredibly reassuring and explained the whole process to me. Even pointed out things he could reuse and did not need to buy. Super honest guy! The insurance company actually agreed with his full estimate! He got us on the road with a new bumper and hitch in no time, and we got home safe and sound. Very high quality work, factory OEM parts and everything. I hope to never have to use him again, but if any of you need that level of work, Crain's is the way to go. Also, a PSA. Always buy local, never go to the Walmarts of the world if you need quality work. Unless you need a whole lot of toilet paper in a hurry. In that case, go to Walmart. Though if you are in that kind of situation you perhaps need to rethink your life choices. Otherwise, buy local, spend local. You won't regret it.

Our pups & daughter couldn't take it, and it was late so had to stay at a hotel. Next day I took it to a place who let us know we needed a new AC Compressor, but they didn't have it in stock. They recommended a nearby dealership who when I went to it they told me they could do the job and had my car all day. End of the day said they couldn't do it. I was in full panic mode and called tire mountain & auto on a whim and explained my situation. I knew they were closed weekends per their website & also it was so late in the day. I was listened to, and told definitely Monday it could be done. But we had to get home. I thanked them & went to find cooling mats & portable fans to try to make the drive. A couple hours later my phone rang and it was the owner I had spoken to earlier. He called to let me know he had 2 guys willing to come in on their day off, so they could get us on the road. AMAZING owners, service, and boy is our car cold! They didn't jack up the price, which they easily could have. Forever grateful for the kindness of a stranger. I'd 1000% recommend this business! Good people! Thank you, Tire Mountain Tire & Automotive!

Thankfully, we were only seven miles from a dealership. After having the car towed, the service team immediately started working on the issue, despite their busy schedule. Although they were unable to obtain the necessary part on a Friday, they arranged for a rental car and drove us 35 minutes to collect it. The following day, I received a call to inform me that the repairs were complete. Additionally, the service team took the initiative to inspect my vehicle for known issues and discovered that the fuel pump was malfunctioning, which they subsequently replaced. They push me a week out. I get there at 7.30 they check me in and offer me a ride home. At 3pm service advisor calls, they didn't get to it. Could I leave it overnight and they would get it in the morning. In the morning around 10 I see no progress. I text service guy and he says we will reschedule you with a loaner. I say not necessary. Put the window in my back seat and I will do it myself. It's a 10 minute job. 30 minutes later I get a text. Tailgate part has been ordered, it is in for Oil Change as we speak, and I am sending Lori to pick you up. It may be a few minutes after you arrive but the window will be finished. Yay! Then I get a video of the oil change and rotation. Lori shows up for the 20 minute ride. I get there and Ed the service advisor says the window is in your back seat, I am not charging you for the oil change, and took me to my truck. He says I will call when the tailgate part gets in, but just so you know the tech said it probably won't fix it. Well, that also won't fix our relationship. Never again Ken Wilson Ford. I was going to trade in for an Expedition. The Service Department is costing them money.

Of course the tire pressure light came on today in very rainy weather. I looked on my phone for the closest tire store, and Pisgah Tire came up. I went there and was greeted and taken care of immediately. They were so kind, checked my tire, sent me safely on my way and didn't charge me anything. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that sort of customer service. It's frightening to have car trouble in bad weather when you are alone and away from home. Can't recommend those fellows enough! Really nice folks.

Phone (828)…read more648-7974 or Singleton's Automotive, LLC. located at 55 New Clyde Highway Canton, NC 28716. Phone (828) 648-8300 they do and/or support poor and shoddy Auto repair work and they don't stand behind their work. These companies are both owned by Art Singleton. I replaced the exhaust headers on my truck and needed to have the exhaust pipes reworked. The reason for this was because the exhaust was no longer in line with the new exhaust headers, being that they were a different brand. I just happened to take it to A Plus Tire & Alignment Inc. in Canton, NC because I passed by it on my way back and forth to work. This made it convenient as I was able to drop it off on my way into work and was able to pick it up on the way home. Here's where the problem comes in on July 3, 2012. After driving the truck off and on for approximately four or five months, when I went to crank it was making an awful sound. After one more attempt to crack it and it making that same sound I surmised that the sound was the starter grinding against the flywheel. At this point I crawled under the truck to find that the starter was about to fall off. Due to it not being bolted tight it was at an angle therefore grinding into the flywheel. This grinding in turn broke several of the teeth on the flywheel off in several different places. I know that this problem was created when A Plus Tire & Alignment Inc. worked on my exhaust system because they had to move the starter out of the way to make it easier for them to access the area of the exhaust that they were working on. I originally had personally put the starter on the truck on September 1, 2010 which I verified by the date of purchase at the auto parts store on their records. I actually changed it in the parking lot of an Advance Auto Parts store because the starter was going bad and wasn't engaging to start the engine consistently. I have done quite a bit of mechanic work over the years and have actually rebuilt several engines myself. This being said know how to put on a starter and tighten the bolts properly. There was no problem for over a year and a half until A plus Tire & Alignment Inc. worked on my vehicle! I don't like taking my vehicles to Auto Repair Shops, preferring to do the work myself because of this type of thing but I don't have the equipment to exhaust systems. Therefore I was forced too. When I called and spoke to the manger, whose name is Keith Wilson and explained the situation he scoffingly made a statement about loss bolts taking so long to work out over what he made out to be such a long period of time (the approximate five months since the work was preformed). He then ask for my phone number so that he could call me back after he checked with his employee that did the work, which of course denied having removed the starter. He then told me to bring it down there so that he could take a look at it. The next day which was today 9-14-2012 I took it down there and showed him (Keith Wilson the manger) the receipt for the starter that I installed on 9-01-10. He proceeded to tell me bolts sometimes work themselves loss, this after scoffing at the idea in our original conversation. The bolts didn't work loose in the year and half period of time before they worked on my truck! Then he stated that he spoke with his boss whose name is Art Singleton (who is also owner of Singleton's Automotive, LLC just a block or so up the street) about the problem and said "he was told to just go by what the employee who did the work on the truck word about it." This is the same employee that shoot me a bird when leaving the parking lot! The real kicker here is that these repairs, by one shops estimate is going to cost over $400.00 dollars! The truck is a four wheel drive which will require more labor to fix what they broke. What ever you do don't take you vehicle to A Plus Tire & Alignment Inc. located at 21 New Clyde Hwy, Canton, NC 28716. Phone (828) 648-7974 or Singleton's Automotive, LLC. located at 55 New Clyde Highway Canton, NC 28716. Phone (828) 648-8300 or you run a huge risk.
