Well after a false start on my previous visit, I must update my review. Ken Wilson called me back regarding my bad experience. Dustin the GM was very apologetic. Did not try and make excuses. He just wanted a chance to earn back my business. He brought me a loaner car, picked up my truck for warranty repairs, plus a replacement key for my wife. Hers was stolen with her purse. Today my truck was delivered back to me with all repairs complete, a new key, and a 4 page inspection of my complete truck with recommended future maintenance. It was as clean as I gave it to them. (I just had it detailed the day before they picked it up). I was a little concerned as it might get filthy on the lot. Nope. Great job Ken Wilson/Crossroads Ford. Thanks Dustin. I am excited to share a positive experience with the service department in North Carolina . Having been let down by dealerships in Kentucky and Indiana, I was anxious when my car stalled during a road trip with our children, six hours away from home, while driving up a mountain. Thankfully, we were only seven miles from a dealership. After having the car towed, the service team immediately started working on the issue, despite their busy schedule. Although they were unable to obtain the necessary part on a Friday, they arranged for a rental car and drove us 35 minutes to collect it. The following day, I received a call to inform me that the repairs were complete. Additionally, the service team took the initiative to inspect my vehicle for known issues and discovered that the fuel pump was malfunctioning, which they subsequently replaced. I recently had a question concerning the transmission they replaced, so I called them. I actually called about four times in hopes I would get to talk to someone or get a call back. Neither happened. Got my 2014 Ford escape over at the shop why. First time I put a 2-inch hose clamp on it charge me $331 which did not fix it put it back in the shop they pressure checked it at least it doesn't time. Replaced my thermostat which was not needed at a cost of $1,000. In my opinion the mechanic Shannon is a parts changer not a mechanic. Ended up being a small radiator hose. $1,700 later. I will never take it there again. And probably will never own another Ford. They are parts changers not mechanics. Ken Wilson does not own it anymore. And in the service department is friendly enough but basically he is trying to keep people from coming in there and killing the mechanics LOL. Very unhappy at the pricing. We just purchased a new F-150 from Ken Wilson Ford. We've purchased a lot of automobiles in our lives, and this was the best experience we've ever had. It's popular now for dealerships to claim they don't pressure or use tricks, but KW Ford means it. The salesman, Brent, was low key, extremely patient, very knowledgeable, and applied zero pressure. He let us have the truck for the weekend to be sure we were familiar with it. When we came back with a couple of things we weren't sure we liked, he gave it real thought and came up with solutions, which he gave us at his cost (we checked!). There was no dealer prep fee, no additional costs to the final price... unlike every other dealer we've ever used. The transaction itself was seamless, competent, and professional. When we get our RV trailer, we can bring the truck back and they'll teach us everything about their tow system, no charge. Strongly recommended. read more

I had a 9am appointment at Ken Wilson Ford to have my 2021 Ford F-150 wire harness recall taken care of. I called the day before and spoke to the Service Supervisor,Dustin Forehand, to confirm and make sure they had the parts in stock and they would be able to perform the recall. He assured me that they should have the parts in stock and it was a simple fix and I could just wait for the vehicle. I showed up at 8:50am and talked to a service advisor and he said he couldn't find my appointment, even though I spoke to the Service Supervisor the day before, and he told me that it would be a while since they were shorthanded?? I was totally disappointed and just left, even after I spoke to the Service Supervisor the day before to avoid any issues and this was the results. I would not recommend this service dealership because it's obvious no one knows what is going on, despite scheduling and confirming with the Service Supervisor. This Ford Dealership used to be a five star dealership, but now since Crossroads purchased it, it has drastically changed for the worst. I ended up purchasing a new vehicle from another Ford dealership out of town, despite purchasing a new vehicle in 2020 from them, because this dealership continues to be disappointing despite trying to give them another chance. read more

They obtained a new battery from another dealership & had our car working again before noon the next day (Saturday). MY EXPERIENCE IS WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Those guys hustle. I noticed a flat tire on I 40. I pulled off the exit to put air in the tire to get me a bit further and was fortunate enough to find the dealership right off the highway. They graciously ordered the exact tire (for my Toyota), put on my spare so I could continue my account meetings in the area (i'm from Charlotte), then mounted my new tire on my way back East so I could get home that evening. Bought a extended warranty from Ken Wilson Ford to go with my additional warranty that came from Ford for buying the truck I sold the truck and when I tried to go to get my warranty refunded they waited three weeks to call me back and then told me I needed three different documents and even if I had those documents I would not receive a check right away. read more

I scheduled an appointment, a month in advance, for warranty service in order to have it completed as soon as possible after drop off. After 2 1/2 weeks, I sent an email to the 'sales' department expressing my displeasure, I had even recently referred a friend there and she bought her new escape there 2 weeks prior. As nothing had been done on my van to date, I thought the sales department would be interested, as I have a sizable mouthpiece with my organization. I took my Ford chassis motorhome to Ken Wilson Ford 4 times for the same thing, check engine light on. Each time they assured me it was fixed. Each time the light came back on after about 70 miles. The last time I took it there they didn't touch it. It sat in the back lot for 11 days exactly where they parked it the day I dropped it off. The engine battery was stone dead as were both coach batteries. When I called Ford Customer Service their only comment was each dealer is responsible for their own workmanship. Do not believe the online trade values, they use different tools to give you a false high value to get you to the dealer. The website uses black book value, I submitted a request and the email said my truck value was 43-50k. I get a call from the sales team and they tell me to come in and get a *HIGHER* price. I make an appointment and go down to the trade center where they tell me that 35k is the highest they can go. Then tells me they do not go by black book. Ken Wilson Ford, if you do not use black book you should not use it on your website. Honesty is better business practice. You lost a customer forever. read more

I purchased a brand-new/used Ford Escape from Ken Wilson on August 3, 2021. While talking with my salesperson on the phone who by the way could not talk to me without calling me honey, sugar, or baby doll. Come on now. This is the 21st Century. While inquiring about the car I was told over and over that the car was on the lot. He had his hand on it. Again, I asked how many miles were on the car? To which he replied none. I repeated the same question again and the same response was given. I spoke with him at 10:30 AM and was told the car would be delivered. This was an all-day event. The car is on its way. When I finally received my car at 5:45 PM. If the car was on the lot why so long? The car was not even cleaned up. I signed papers that stated the car had zero miles. After the gentlemen left that delivered the car. I then noticed the bait and switch. I moved it over it my driveway and noticed that the miles were over a thousand miles. Why would a "new" car arrive with over a thousand miles? I sent a text to my salesperson asking this question. No response was given. I posted this on the website. I received a reply from the Internet Manager. Stating that they had worked very hard on this deal. So, to make me happy they offered two additional free oil changes. The only thing that he would state is that the car might be in a Trip mode. So, are there more miles on this car?!? However, he could not or would not provide any additional information to my question. I believe and feel that the car was a courtesy vehicle and that is why the miles were so high. My understand is Ken Wilson no longer owns the dealership. The vehicle was in the shop on September 21 and September 22, 2021. For a noise. Upon dropping the car off. No one came to the car and greeted you like in the past at Ken Wilson. You must walk around and go to the service department. No noise could be found. I called to check on my car and they could not find my car. The gentlemen asked me in the service department if I was sure my car was there. Yes, I am sure. Did you leave the key in the dropbox? No, I handed my keys to my service advisor. I had to wait for them to find my car. After they found my car and I arrived to pick up the car I was told I would have to bring the car back and try to reproduce the sound with someone in the car with me. Because I drive and back different. If you have not figured it out by now. I am a single female. The car started making the same noise. This time I was able to record the noise. When I arrived that morning at the service department my service advisor did not even remember I was coming to drop the car off. I played the noise for them. Everyone was shocked by the noise and told me the car was haunted. I recorded the noise inside the car. They asked me if no one could stand outside of the car to tape the noise for them. I told them no, no one is up when I leave to go to work. The car again was in the shop from October 4, 2021, until October 11, 2021. I did not receive any calls to update me on my service. You must make calls in regard to your car and leave messages after messages. When you call to ask for the service department to check on your car. They ask if the car is there? Seriously, why would you call to check on a car that was not in service, I spoke to my service advisor on Friday, October 8, 2021, who stated that I could pick the car up that afternoon. I told him during our phone conversion that I would be there by 3:15 PM to pick up my car. When I arrived to pick up my car. I was told that they discovered additional issues. And it would be another 15 to 20 minutes I told them I wish someone had called to let me know this. All he could do was smile. I must be back in Asheville by 4, because I had an appointment at 6 and could not wait for the car. While the car was in the shop I spoke with another salesperson in regard to another car. He told me would get some information to me. Again, no follow-through. I finally picked the car up on Monday, October 11, 2021. I called to check and make sure that my car was ready. Surprise, I had to leave a message. You guessed no reply. I had to call again before I went out. My service advisor walked me out to my car upon walking to my car he showed me another version of a Ford Escape that was older than mine with the same issue. That is comparing apples to oranges why compare an older model to a supposedly brand-new model. Told me that rain would cause it, the rotors had rusted on my car. Then if Ford is aware of this issue. Maybe Ford should take care of this issue. I asked him why a "new" car would do this. All he could do was turn and smile at me. They all know that they are passing off a used car as a new one. Jody Bell was the Salesman that assisted my Dad, and the kindness and compassion he showed to an elderly man was compelling. As a result our family has traded and purchased four other vehicles. Yesterday I purchased a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium from Jody Bell. I found the car on line and called Jody Bell and basically purchased the car over the phone. We got to the dealership, signed the papers and drove away in less than 30 minutes. If this purchase is anything like our previous purchases, I have no doubt that any and every little issue that may or may not come up, will be handled quickly and with professionalism. Took my Navigator in for rear suspension problem and was told I needed new air bags. Air bags deflated as I drove first half mile then compressor pumped it back up In next couple of miles. They kept it 3 1/2 weeks and charged $4160 for new air bags. First time I drove it same thing happened. Took it back and 2 1/2 weeks later got it back. They replaced a control valve for about $600. This seems to have fixed the problem but I'm out $4,160. Service manager said he would give me a free oil change. Whoopee Service writer never called me to keep me informed, I had to call him every week for status. A year ago I had brake job there. Got Navigator back on a Thursday and started off to Charleston on Friday afternoon. Got to Hendersonville in heavy traffic, had to hit the brakes and right front pads fell off damaging wheel and almost causing wreck. Had to have it towed and missed a day of vacation. Mechanic had not tightened bolt or left it off. I first started going to Ken Wilson many years ago because of highly rated service department. Sadly this is not the case anymore. Not at all happy with my dealer. They really let me down. I had a blow out on my truck, F550, with just over 22,ooo. twenty two thousand miles and they would not stand behind the tire at all. Me and my fiancé went and bought a truck from used cars and trucks center last August, and two-three months in to driving the truck the oil cooler went out in it. We called about it and they took it and fixed it due to oil cooler being under warranty. Well then we found out then that we had bought a truck that has had four-five oil coolers replaced by Ken Wilson Ford. So after they fixed it we continued to drive it and pay for it. Then three-four months after that the oil cooler went out again with a couple of more parts as well. So they took it in and even gave us a truck to drive around for so we could continue to do our work. Well we drove their truck around for a month with barley any call about our truck or calls about how they were going to fix it or what they were going to do. I can literally count on one hand how many times they have called us.Then they called to have their truck back and we took it back as they asked and then they have left us without a work truck because they have let our truck sit up there for a month not doing anything to it. Now we have no truck and they are still not staying in contact about ours that hasn't even been in the shop yet and they have had a whole month to do something with it. They won't call back when they say they will and then they will talk amongst themselves and never include us. my fiance and I are very upset and we are reporting to BBB and the General Attorney. We are fedup being drug in the dirt by these guys. I recommend not to buy anything from them that is used cause when you drive it for not even a whole year and it breaks down they will take it in not do anything about it and leave you there to wonder and stranded. Also very rude people to deal with too because we have called multiple times and have got nothing but voicemails and if we get them on the phone which is very lucky they are very short and argumentive and they won't even give you five minutes to talk it is usually after the arguments they will say okay sir/mama lets see what I can do and then nothing ever gets done. It feels like they don't care for the situation they put us in. Very very upset and won't ever do business with them and will tell family and friends and customers about the bad experience we have got from them. We have been very patient and working with them with everything they have tried which is very little but we have been nice to them so I have no clue why we are being treated the way we are. Then this morning when I call to get a hold of Mr. Ken himself it take two hours to get back to me and trust me I know he is a busy man but for this to go on a month I would think he would have took it very seriously but he called us finally after two days of trying to get a hold of him and being told for a month we will fix it just let me see what we can do it turns out that Mr. Ken Wilson is very rude himself and also no won't fix our truck of the oil cooler they put in and it failed again. So yea I would hope no one ever buys a truck or any used automobile from them. Very poor customer service and upper management very unpleasant to deal with as well.
