After calling B & H Parts company numerous times, they continue to be disrespectful and impolite…read more The purpose of my calls was to talk to Tom Goodie the manager of B&H, who is rarely in the yard about the 1982 Checker sitting in the lot. Associates continue to talk about selling it whole for $1500 to $1800 or crushing it. Then hang up after I explain that I am looking for ways to save this car. Guess if you don't play by their rules, they leave. Evidently, my encounters are similar to others who have dealt with them considering the comments left on various sites. I guess they are still in business because people are willing to pay such prices or know someone. While talking to a body shop person who wanted to buy a truck door, B&H wanted $400 - which listed else where for $300. When the person explained how only sheet metal was needed not all the extras, the sales person wouldn't budge. A friend acquired it later for $50. Interesting enough, there are other Checkers out there for less money and better condition. My concern is that we lose another vehicle that could be used by someone for his or her car. This is more important then scrape metal. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to save this piece of history for the future. My home is about 15 minutes away from their junkyard. I am willing to work in any capacity that I am capable in doing to save it. My 2010 SS needed a new underhood fuse box and I found one through this supplier…read more 1. It took two weeks to get the part from NEW YORK to PENNSYLVANIA. 2. The price was adjusted upward 400% from comparable parts but I paid it because I needed it. 3. I drove 20 miles to pick it up only to discover that it was broken with a golf ball sized part of the box missing, still apparently worth 400% markup. My sales person was Brian Meddings. Do not use this person who works on markup and made good money on my part, but refused to have it overnighted to my location and made me call him several times to get status on this item. 4. The part was broken and my two week waiting period flushed.

So I called and said "I'm ready to sell my car" and the response on the other end was "Good for you". Do you want my business or not? Of course I didn't get what I expected but they picked it up two days later and called before they arrived.

Crazy Rays sold the yard to a nat'l company called LKQ, no way to contact the yard directly…read moreanymore. Also, the LKQ call center personnel could not answer any questions I had regarding vehicles, parts etc., but offered that I could just drive to the yard to ask questions. In summary, you can't call them directly and you can't get any answers from the LKQ call center. You just have to hope to get lucky once you arrive on site.
