After calling B & H Parts company numerous times, they continue to be disrespectful and impolite. The purpose of my calls was to talk to Tom Goodie the manager of B&H, who is rarely in the yard about the 1982 Checker sitting in the lot. Associates continue to talk about selling it whole for $1500 to $1800 or crushing it. Then hang up after I explain that I am looking for ways to save this car. Guess if you don't play by their rules, they leave. Evidently, my encounters are similar to others who have dealt with them considering the comments left on various sites. I guess they are still in business because people are willing to pay such prices or know someone. While talking to a body shop person who wanted to buy a truck door, B&H wanted $400 - which listed else where for $300. When the person explained how only sheet metal was needed not all the extras, the sales person wouldn't budge. A friend acquired it later for $50. Interesting enough, there are other Checkers out there for less money and better condition. My concern is that we lose another vehicle that could be used by someone for his or her car. This is more important then scrape metal. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to save this piece of history for the future. My home is about 15 minutes away from their junkyard. I am willing to work in any capacity that I am capable in doing to save it. I needed 2 front end doohickeys and 2 rear thingamabobs for a 2007 Jeep Liberty so I called up the fellas at B&H and said "Hey, lookie here. I need doohickeys and thingamabobs for a 2007 Jeep Liberty. Ya got 'em?" Dude on the phone told me, "Hell yea we got doohickeys and thingamabobs. $20 each if ya want us to yank 'em fer ya or $10 each if ya wanna pull dem sum'bitches yerself." Roger that. So I jumped in the truck and headed on down the most scenic bi-way in these here United States: Rt 40 between Elkton and North East. That's America right there. Walked in, talked to dude, had to pay $2 fee to enter the yard but that was a small price to pay to walk among oil drenched rusted out dirt. Now this is a proper vehicle grave yard. I'll tell you what. Cecil County likes to drive Fords and then Cecil County liked to wrap them Fords around telephone poles or set dem sum'bitches on fire because there were a lotta Fords up in here. They like to crash up VW Beetles too. Mangled Beetles as far as the eye can see. Well, maybe a few acres anyway. Now, as poor as my damn Jeep Liberty handles I'd think there would be more messed up Jeeps in here but no such luck. Mostly Mangled Wranglers and the Wrangler didn't come with doohickeys or thingamabobs so I was outta luck but I did find a pretty messed up Isuzu Rodeo and a Nissan Pathfinder that had just what I needed. Yanked them babies out and headed up to pay. Good thing I took advantage of the $1/day warranty on the parts though because the doohickeys don't quite fit right so I got store credit for another one. I don't expect friendly customer service while dealing with junk yards, they usually have the opposite reputation. However I do expect honest fast service, and usually get help from more experienced mechanics. My experience with B&H was so bad I can hardly believe it. I needed a front differential for my truck, gave them all the information and ordered the part on a Wednesday and paid in full. (Thankfully my friend let me use his car since my truck was taken apart) The part was suppose to come in Friday at latest. After calling Friday around 11:30 I was told the truck with my part would come around 1:30. Called back than with me luck so they said they would call me when it arrived. No luck Friday so they said it would be in Monday. I called Monday at the same times and each time they told me to call back in an hour. This went on till they closed at 5 that day, Tuesday, Wednesday and finally Thursday they said it was in so I borrowed another car. Wrong part; although I was annoyed I didn't have much choice but try again. Almost the exact same this happened the whole next week except this time I asked him to call me even to let me know the part wasn't in so I can figure out my next ride. Never got a call after asking on 5 or 6 occasions. At this point nobody would talk to me except the guy who ordered the part, everyone else just said they didn't know anything about it and told me to call back. Finally I called close to closing time on a Wednesday and they said the part might be in but they were leaving. So I rented a U-haul to pick the part up the next day. Wrong part, again, same part they ordered the first time. Their main concern was how to send it back and clearly did not care about my situation. These guys don't care about their customers so be careful if you have to deal with them. I didn't have too much time to spend on this review so it will probably have to be edited sometime. read more

I have been to alot of pick n pulls and this one was probably one of the better ones i have been to. People working at the counter were really nice. They had a ton of cars laid out and a good amount of space in between them so you can get the things you want. The best part about it was that the price was right. Very reasonable price for a door i was looking for compared to other yards. Would def go back and recommend. read more

I am so beyond fed up with this terrible place they so call a used auto parts/junkyard. I ordered a transmission for a 1999 Subaru legacy outback AWD from these jackasses. I specifically told them on my first phone call to please tell your mechanic to remove the transmission carefully and to not break or tear any of the transmission wiring harness. I drove over 2 hours away to pick up this transmission and the first thing I noticed was the transmission harness was clipped right in half and the harness was trashed. I got UPSET and they told me to keep the old core to use parts off of it in order to make the new one useable. Next day I put the supplied transmission in from these guys after spending countless hours swapping out the wires they damaged as well as the transmission pan and many more to list; only to find out the new supplied transmission was complete garbage. The car was stuck in one gear and would barely do 45mph. I called them the next day and I asked to spoke to the manager which his name is Matt. Matt told me I'm sorry for the inconvenience and he will special order in a new transmission within 3 days and have it delivered to my shop no problem. I asked him if he will cover labor costs for the second removal of the transmission since its was sold to me defective. He said "NO" I kept my patience and ate that in too. I specifically told matt to keep me updated please as me and especially my customer is losing patience since his car has been out stuck on my lift for over a month now. When I spoke to matt earlier last week on the week of 08/14/17 he said I will see the replacement transmission at my shop on Saturday of last week 08/19/17. I called that Friday to speak to matt, but of course he suddenly is now on vacation... The front desk workers said they will call me tomorrow and keep me updated. Waited all day Saturday for a phone call and for my transmission to show up and nothing. I called yesterday on Monday 8/21/17 at least 7 times during operating business hours and no answer no calls back. I called again today and what do you know the transmission they received that was so called "special ordered" ending up having a cracked bell housing is what they told me which I find a complete lie. At this point im losing my patience even more because I have now been going back and forth with these idiots and place for over a month now and I told the gentleman over the phone you have up until 5 pm to call me back with a answer on if you will get me a new damn working and not a broken transmission in anytime soon and he responded I'm going to call the company now and I will call you back before 5 I said okay thanks. Here it is I called them back at 5:02pm today and I spoke to a guy which put me on hold for over 5 minutes I called back again and the man I spoke to earlier this afternoon answered and said we would be more then glad to refund you the full amount because we cannot find a replacement one and that I would need to drop it off to them first.... Now which stupid ass human being would follow these guidelines from this ass backwards place that is a so called a business. After sitting in traffic the first time for over 2 hours wasted all my gas and my labor time to receive a transmission that was defective wasted money on fluids that I never received money back for was also let down not once not twice but three times from this place; and they want me to take this transmission and drag it back down to them ....hahaha! I told the worker there that they can come and pick up this transmission themselves. I will be contacting BBB as well as my credit card company and filing for a dispute and I made that clear when I spoke to them last. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS SHADY CROOKED RUNNING BUSINESS TO ANYONE IN THE DMV. I seriosuly don't understand how this place is in business. Absolutely terrible! read more
