    JR did a great job installing a new battery for my SUV. You can tell that he takes a great deal of pride in his work.

While doing a routine oil change, I bought an air filter--their brand, Microgaurd--from this store about a week and a half ago. It was the wrong filter, and I couldn't return it right away because my Jeep was towed (bad alternator). When I did finally get around to returning the filter, and buying the right one, Chris, the store manager, wouldn't take the return without a receipt. Again, this was their mistake to begin with, and it was their brand of filter. Now I get it, his system was not registering the sale of that filter for the past three months, and I didn't have a phone number associated with the sale. But there WAS one of those filters (the wrong one) missing in his system. The long and the short of it is that Chris couldn't make the judgment that I wasn't conducting some elaborate scheme to steal $12 dollars from O'Reilly Auto parts without a receipt. This is an example of being unable to break out of a bureaucratic system and have a relationship with your customers. They made a mistake, I had to return to their store to correct that mistake, and because their system wasn't registering their mistake (again, that is their problem) I am out $12. I know: it's just twelve dollars, and my kids aren't going to starve. But I have already told my friends to stay away from O'Reilly Auto Parts, and I won't shop there again. I'll go somewhere where I can make a joke with the man behind the counter, and where they will treat me less like a thief, and more like a customer. There are plenty of other games in town.

    One of the worst customer services companies in Texas!…read more I became acquainted with this outfit a few months ago when one of their tractor trailer drivers nearly ran me and several other drivers off the road on I-35. The driver was cutting in and out of lanes without signaling and tailgating other vehicles to the point of being right on their bumpers. Again, keep in mind this is a tractor trailer driver we're talking about. Seemed to be under the influence of alcohol or some other controlled substance. When I called the company to express my concerns, I was directed to the transportation manager who failed to answer, so I left a voice mail requesting a call back. My call was never returned. About a week later, I left another voice mail referencing the reckless behavior of the semi driver and again the message was ignored. So then I paid a personal visit to their business and asked to see this so-called transportation manager. I spoke to one of their employees who essentially laughed at me and told me to mind my own business. Didn't give two licks that one of their drivers nearly caused a multi vehicle pileup on the freeway. Told him this and he bellowed I had no right to tell them how to run their business. What a joke this company is! No regard whatsoever for the safety of the general public nor do they even present themselves professionally. Saw another employee treat an elderly gentleman in their store very rudely while I was there. No reason whatsoever to ever patronize this clown show of a business!

    Excellent experience! My 2003 Acura TL, S-model was completely dead on July 4th (of all days!) when…read moreI came out to start it around 5:30 PM. Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work!
