He tested my battery, alternator & starter, & explained that my battery was testing low. He helped me choose the right replacement, and even installed it for me. I've shopped here for basic auto parts, fluids and detailing supplies over the years but today needed a battery (two actually) for my Jeep. After finding the correct batteries, Mike helped me out and said he could do the install, and at no additional charge. This was unexpected because it was fairly complex with the two batteries. He had all the proper tools and was very professional, taking great care to do it right while also not damaging the car. 20 minutes later (and $350 less than the stealership wanted), batteries are in and she fired right up. I've been here three times in the past month for various reasons, but mainly battery issues with two separate vehicles. All of my experiences were good, but the first and last were exceptional. My first experience was with a young employee (mid 30's probably) who drives a black mustang. He was extremely informative, charismatic, and answered every question I had. He ultimately helped me decide on what type of battery I needed for a car I don't drive regularly, which (the battery he suggested and I purchased) allows the vehicle to sit for two weeks, for instance, and still start up with no issues. My most recent experience was with a darker skinned gentleman who assisted my father and I by checking to see 1) if the battery I had on this second vehicle of mine was dead, as well as 2) attempted to start the vehicle with the store's battery jump starter pack. Despite having no luck starting the bad battery, he was very kind and helpful when the battery wasn't even purchased from an Advanced Auto Parts. In other words, he had no reason to help us, but he did. I highly suggest coming here for any of your basic automotive needs; the two men I mentioned went above and beyond in comparison to some other employees I have had the misfortune of dealing with in the past, at other locations. read more

My husband and I came to get just regular maintenance parts for our vehicle and Will was the nicest guy we have met at the Auto Parts store! He was joking around with us, helped us find exactly what part number we needed and handled himself very well with taking care of us, answering the phone and asking telling another associate that came from the back that there was another person on the phone. Called to see if they had a battery for my car . Found several on their website . Guy try's to sell me most expensive battery instead of giving me options . When challenged he try's harder to upsell me claiming battery won't last six months . My wife called initially so he thought she was a easy target . I asked if they would take out and install the batteries . He said yes . Drive 8 miles to his store then tells me they don't have tools to remove the battery . Moron . Found a better cheaper place closer to the house . They must train their staff to sell the most expensive stuff whenever possible and forget proper service for the customer . Don't go to these clowns unless you enjoy getting ripped off . read more

If it was not for Roberto this would get a one star. Stopped in to have my gf's battery checked and get a new one if it was bad. It was bad so no big deal get a new battery and have it installed. It was 6:15. They stopped changing our batteries at 6. No big deal I will change it myself. I asked if I could borrow a socket wrench to change it. Manager said no, citing a previous experience and what had happened the last time they let someone borrow their tools. So I go out to the car to see if there is anything in there I could change the battery with. Luckily Roberto saw us and lent us his socket set so it made me changing the battery quick and easy. While changing the battery the manager has the lights outside to the parking lot turned off. Not the lights to the entrance, but specially the parking lot lights mounted to the building along the sidewalk as you walk up. Again it's only 6:30. So now changing the battery in the dark. Walk back in to return the old battery and get a refund for the core. Roberto took care of us to the end. Manager never even greeted us. I am happy customer service still exists in Roberto, but not the manager of this Advance Auto Parts. read more

I rarely write reviews, but today my boyfriend and I stopped by Advanced Auto Parts to grab a new headlight for my Kia. What should have taken 3 minutes, (considering we used the binder to look up what we needed and should've been in and out) took approximately 50 minutes. Clark and a younger man (Joseph) were the only guys at the counter talking extensively with two separate customers for at least 20-30 minutes. How is there not an express line for the customers who know what they need and just need to check out? I honestly thought about leaving cash and walking out. As we finally got to check out, my boyfriend was visibly annoyed. Joseph ended up checking us and and said "sorry, we're not Walmart you know what I mean?" I just looked at him. I was tempted to say something like, "an 'I'm so sorry for your wait' would've sufficed" but I bit my tongue. I wasn't going to create a scene. As my boyfriend began to change my headlight in my Kia Forte he looked up at me. I asked what the problem was. "He said, "the book said H11 when it should've said H11 B." Originally, I would've given this visit 3 stars. I worked in customer service for Penske truck leasing for years and understand that some transactions take time. Clark and Joseph couldn't control that. But because the information was incorrect in the book, and because Jospeh had and attitude with my boyfriend instead of apologizing for the wait, this review receives one star. read more
