I took it to the shop and manager had an associate named Ivan to ride my car around and listen for the sound. Ivan told the manager what the issue was and the manager quoted me $192 to repair the damage and fix my car. I came in this morning at about 8:30am to get my car fixed. When I arrived they took my car into the servicing area. About 10am, Ivan came back out and said that he would need to do extra repairs to fix the car properly. Trusting their expert advise, I authorized the new service (which now went to $304) to get my car fixed. Shortly after paying this new amount, Ivan came back out and told the manager that there was more to fix the car. They took me in the area and showed me what was actually wrong with my vehicle and when I went back inside the manager quoted me $358 to fix my car. I feel like this was dishonest because (1) if the new issue was why my car was disabled, why was there no assessment to determine this BEFORE they did the unnecessary work on my car and (2) why tell me that paying $300 would fix my car and turn around right after I pay to ask for $350 MORE. Unable to afford the new price, I drove my car off the lot sounding much worse than it did when I brought it in. I feel like I was being price gouged and furthermore, I took my car do a different shop right after that and they told me that someone had emptied my power steering fluid. I think this was done dishonestly to scare me into having to pay them the additional $350 for the work. No one should have to deal with this type of dishonesty from a business. I didn't tell them what was wrong with my car; I trusted this business to do that for me. And I feel that my trust was misplaced. As for me, I do not trust them as a business anymore."

I scheduled a windshield replacement with Safelite AutoGlass on March 7th at 3:00 PM in Burlington…read more Shortly after the installation--within approximately 30 minutes of driving--I noticed a visible defect on the lower portion of the windshield. I immediately contacted the company to report the issue and requested a prompt resolution. I was then scheduled for a follow-up appointment on March 17th. During that call, I clearly stated my preference to have the issue addressed in-shop. However, on the day of the appointment, I was informed it would instead be handled as a mobile service. When the technician arrived (later than scheduled), I was given explanations that did not adequately address the defect. The technician took photos and consulted with a manager, who ultimately classified the issue as a "minor defect." I strongly disagree with this assessment. The defect significantly impacts my driving experience. It causes visual distortion to the point that it leads to nausea and headaches. I wear prescription glasses while driving, and the distortion is so severe that I am forced to remove them to see clearly through the windshield--creating an unsafe driving condition. Despite having a warranty, the company has not been willing to replace the defective windshield. This is extremely disappointing, especially as I have not had issues with their service in the past. Overall, I find this experience to be highly unprofessional and unsatisfactory. I am requesting that this issue be properly resolved with a full replacement under warranty.

I brought with me a part I had designed to test fit - which I had done before, and I planned to buy a car console. This time they said no external parts come in because of theft. They used to just mark them. I had clearly made my part and it had my markings on it. Oh well. The staff were nice enough. The real benefit of this particular yard is that they have a pretty large selection. Just bring tools and don't tear stuff up, leave the rest in good condition. I found what I was looking for and ended up buying two items.

For the trim even the ity bitty small pieces they wanted to charge $7 a piece which added up to around $200 in trim, for the trunk they said that in order for the trunk to cost what it costs on the website it has to be a bare metal trunk, I've been to countless junkyards and for the trunk they charge it as just the trunk, for the trim they give you a bulk number usually around $10-$15. All those parts almost nobody needs, the car I came in for was never touched after being in there for a month, in the end they will probably just be thrown out or scrapped for nothing which is pretty sad because I could've used them just not for what they want and their attitude, the place is very understaffed and had a line of 10 people when trying to figure out why it costed so much. My car is and has been meticulously maintained and they wanted to UPSELL me and didn't want to honor the alignment agreement. I was told that my right wheel was visually wobbling, that I needed both of my control arms replaced and they refused to honor the contract to do the alignment. They told me that they even have the "wobbling" wheel on the security camera evidencing their assessment. This is complete bologna. These Mavis stores have sell quotas that reward shady business practices. I've been to multiple Mavis stores throughout N.C. and repeatedly experience a constant upsetting pressure on made up repair needs. Here is a fact: NONE OF THE TECHNICIANS WORKING AT MAVIS ARE CERTIFIED MECHANICS. They "learn" how to fix your cars on the job. They have NO formal training.
