The second store, where the professional mechanics go, had it at the Tampa warehouse, and could "get it by tomorrow. $23.95." O'Reillys had it in stock for $10.99. This was my first visit to this clean, new, well stocked store, but I'm sure it won't be my last. The shelf prices on things like oil, filters, and accessories seemed to be as good as or better than the other kids on the block, too. Even Wal Mart. Check their website for ads and specials. Plus, they have some motorcycle parts, and some lawn equipment items. They DO loan specialty tools and most locations will turn brake drums/rotors for you!. If you change your own oil, they'll recycle the old dirty oil for you. They'll test your battery, alternator and some other systems for free.

Hours after dropping my car off to do this test, they call me with an appalling list of things needed to be fixed in my car to the tune of over $3,500. One of which was leaking coolant, which I had fixed less than a year ago elsewhere. I went to my last mechanic to use the warranty from this repair. However, he was able to physically show me that there was no leak. I went to check everything else on this list of repairs Everything Automotive claimed I needed, and only 2 of the 5 repairs were actually true. I agreed to get my mirror changed at Everything Automotive and nothing else. But the owner wouldn't take my no for an answer on getting everything they listed repaired, and tried pressuring me to scare me saying my car was a ticking time-bomb. It wasn't. When I came to get my car an hour after the full diagnostics I didn't ask for was finished, the owner said he needed more time to "do what he needed to do still." Slightly concerning since there was nothing we agreed to repair yet, and of course when leaving, my car ran worse than it did when I got there. As a girl alone in Florida as I finish up my education, it's so disappointing to see the lengths people will go to swindle others. The owner states to have helped lots of fellow students from my school which worries me how many other people were suckered into spending money on things they didn't need from here. Do yourself a favor, and find an honest mechanic like Vimar up the block across the street from Full Sail University to help you with all your needs!

Also given the price point they can be very busy and waits might be long or you may not get the message your car is done for a while so you have to follow up. I got there at 11:57pm and told the employee that I'm using that app, it took forever to check me in due to the guy helping me being new (literally his first day) and the process is different when using the car advisor app. I think I finally got checked in at around 12:20ish pm, my car didn't get pull in until after 1pm and idk when it was done but I didn't leave 2:17pm It was instantly busy, everyone had an appointment and apparently all at the same time. When I arrived, they were having trouble with one guys car. One couple had a 10am appointment and were there for over 3 hours! As I was checking out, a customer from the morning came back because the issue wasn't fix and it seemed worse They don't have a lot in stock so they obviously need to order the parts but they seem like they have trouble getting them. I've heard an employee say it could take 2-5 days to get the part but heard multiple calls asking when/why hasn't their car part arrived yet Lastly, not really pep boys felt.....a customer literally brought their guitar with them and started singing. I went to a mechanic down the road, an independent mechanic, but still a mechanic, and they looked at what they were going to charge me, and what they were telling me was wrong with my car, and, most of it ended up being way overpriced by like four times and some of it ended up being not a big deal at all or not even there. please, I beg of you save your money I know that some people are nervous to go to independent shops but there are so much good mechanics just right down the road from this Pep Boys who charge way less and show you exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. And not only that, some of them also, give you warranty on the parts that they replace for your car. This place is not worth it at all. Please go spend your money somewhere else because in the end it will save you almost $1000 less!!! I learned this the hard way! adding to this, they always try to manipulate you no matter what, which is just completely horrible of the workers. I get if they make some kind of commission off of this, but I was not going to go through with a procedure, and the Mechanic, who was dealing with me, while he was printing out the quote for me, spoke to the other Mechanic and said " oh you're that person that didn't get this replaced, they ended up getting in a really bad crash right after they left our shop" it was obviously tactic, and I wasn't going to fall for it.
