Can't say enough about my gratitude and the customer service at this Advance Auto Parts location. Shout out to PAUL!! We came in for a free diagnosis as we were having some dash light come on in our car. Paul really took the time with us in a friendly and kind manner to help us. He conducted different tests with his diagnostic machine that hooked up to the car. With his help we found that our current battery was defective and he explained the best he could, the analysis and suggested we exchange the battery. (Problem was an unstable battery from Walmart.) I'm genuinelyyyy thankful for people in the service industry like Paul who are genuinely seeking to help and be neighborly with a great attitude. This store is allowing a man named Noel to conduct business as an Auto Mechanic and so are some of the employees helping him carry out his job i believe he pays them off as well I now believe that the store manager and general manager or district manager or corporate know what is going on at this store. it's been going on too long and it needs to stop this man named Noel who works at the outside the store front of Advance Auto Parts 2320 University Dr. Sunrise Florida 33322 in the shopping plaza doing auto mechanic repairs for himself and also in behalf of Advance Auto Parts taking advantage of the customers that go in and out of that store he parks his green van there and collaborates with a particular male in the store of Advance Auto Parts at 2320 University Dr. tag team to handle his transactions and recipts and the damaged parts that they collect from customers and he keeps the part to get the credit you should have gotten on top of the over priced work he does which is close to the price that auto mechanic shops charge it's good team work because Noel in return buy all the merchandise there at the store in return they give you his business card and refer his service I want to tell you some thing else he will fix one thing and all of a sudden something else needs repair. and he will give you his bad attitude as if he is doing you a favor that you pay him for so i am warning you DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO WORK ON YOUR CAR not only you will regret it but you will have to take it to a reliable mechanic auto shop afterwards to get fixed I am sure both he and the business are violating plenty of code Violations from the city of sunrise. Came in here to get a Caliper. As soon as I walked in I noticed the only employee in the store was a slim dark skin female with tattoos on both arms and a orange wig with ridiculously long eyelashes get aggravated because her friend had to leave the store since I came in as a customer. I walked up to the counter and with a attitude she asked me what I needed so I gave her the exact part and side I needed it for. She went and got it again with a attitude. It's sad that even with a face mask you can see when people roll their eyes and sigh in annoyance as if we aren't all dealing with something during Covid. Anyways I leave the store drive all the way back home and take off the tire and rotor only to find out she gave me the wrong part. I drive back to the store with my car exposed and I rush in the store (again her friend left and now she's even angrier) I tell her "You gave me driver rear instead of passenger rear" she sucks her teeth and starts mumbling. I couldn't hear her from the mask so I say excuse me and she snaps and says "I don't like the way you said what you said, I have thousands of parts a day so how you expect me to remember yours" At this point I want to flip out but like I said my car was left with no tire or rotor or caliper so I just respond with. "I didn't say it any type of way I just told you the wrong part you gave me" (two more customers walk in and are standing behind me when she proceeds to continue being disrespectful and talking crap. Which is surprising seeing how many people need a job nowadays so I just keep my mouth shut. She gets the part and barks at me to take the other part out the bag for her. Now my patience is wearing thin but I take the part out and she gives me the correct caliper. I say thank you have a nice day and for the cherry on top she yells out "YEA YOU HAVE A NICE DAY TOO PFFT" so I just walked out and had to sit in my car to calm down a bit. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. If she dislikes her job she shouldn't be there ruining the company name. She left such a bitter taste in my mouth I refused to come back for additional parts I needed forcing me to go to their competitor. I went in today for a warranty on a battery I bought there a few years ago. The young lady I dealt with I initially was very polite and gladly handled the exchange without hesitation, honoring the free replacement. My concern was getting the battery home, changing it out, and returning the old battery. But, much to my surprise, she informed me that they would do it for me. A few minutes later a really cool guy named Anthony was under my hood replacing the battery for me. We had a couple good laughs and I was on my way. It was a great experience here today. read more

They get 1 star for having the coolant in stock. They get 0 for customer service & general manners. I walked in needing coolant for my minivan. I walked to the aisle with the coolant & started looking at them. There were TWO employees standing in the aisle complaining about the customer before. I waited until they were done and asked for help. With an attitude Jatara said "You know you past the coolants, right?" I said I was looking at the bottles of coolant and she "informed" me that was overstock & I needed to take them from the display in front. Ok. So we walked up front & she looked up what I needed. Told me the brand or their brand with green cover. She also walked over & pointed at the bottles. Ok. I thanked her for her help. Picked the brand & asked if I pay her or another registry. Another woman employee that was in aisle yelled out that I could pay her & Jatara said to pay at her register which I did. I asked if one jug was enough & she said every van is different. I paid & as I was leaving the woman employee that yelled through the store about paying her yelled again "good job Jatara, good job" and they laughed...I was still inside the store. Needless to say I will never go back i to this store & will tell my family & friends to also go to a different auto part store when they need something. My boyfriend needed to replace the brakes on his work truck and since funds were tight he decided to do it himself vs. taking it into a shop. Thank goodness he's handy and knows how to do this stuff! He found what he needed online but wanted to go into the store to speak with someone. The online store offered 15% off so he figured he'd order online once speaking with someone and choose the in-store pickup option. The store is a typical auto parts store with that auto part smell. When it was our turn we spoke to the cashier who was nice and knowledgeable. Okay I may have bought into the stereotype that a woman would not know as much as a man about auto parts but she truly impressed me. She made recommendations and even honored the 15% off in the store so we didn't have to go through the online store! While we were waiting for our parts I learned she'd been with the company for 18 years! She didn't even look old enough but that just reinforces that you should not judge a book by its cover. Side note: there were some crazy customers in there yelling and causing a ruckus. The staff handled it expertly. read more

The one star here is for Raymond who tried to help my sister out when she called the store that morning. But unfortunately when she got there he was no longer there and she had to deal with Anthony Bailey (manager) and everything went downhill from there. First off Mr. Bailey was very unprofessional while sitting and chatting with a friend when she walked in and made her feel like she was a bother. He must freshen up on his customer service skills. He was very rude and made her feel stupid. He did not go above and beyond to help her with the online battery purchase I did for her. She had to literally call the customer service line while at the store to get him to do his job. The rep on the phone also got me on the phone and she too noticed his attitude and said she'd inform her manager about their interaction. I'm in the Sunrise area a lot, me and my sister vow to never frequent that location again, it sad how one bad apple can run off a customer but we will not allow someone to treat us like crap while spending our hard earned money...We will also reach out to the Advance Auto Parts corporate offices to officially make a complaint about our experience with Mr. Bailey. read more
